    Q:   What is the eligibility for MD at KGMU?

    A: 

    For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD.

    A: 

    Admissions to MD at KGMU is entirely done via NEET PG scores. To apply for KGMU MD admissions, candidates are required to appear for NEET PG entrance exam in the first place. For that, aspirants must fill an online application form on the official website of NEET PG. The step-wise application process  for KGMU is given below:

    Step 1: Visit the official website and register yourself.

    Step 2: No candidate can register for more than one application

    Step 3: Fill the application form with all the mandatory details.

    Step 4: Pay the application fees online through debit/ credit card/ net banking.

    Step 5: Check the status of your application including images in your ‘My Page’ section.

    Step 6: Take a printout of the application form for future use.

    The eligibility criteria for various undergraduate courses is Class 12 with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate and the accepted entrance exam for some courses is NEET. The fee structure for various courses like B.Sc. MD BDS MS and MBBS is INR 48,000 - INR 3.05 Lacs, INR 90,000 - INR 1.64 Lacs, INR 46,440, INR 90,000 - INR 1.64 Lacs, and INR 2.46 Lacs. There are various other fee components involved in the total fee for the course.

    Probably a Dream college with best infrastructure and teaching faculty of the country.
    Placements: 100% doctors got very good job. Some of them started their own hospital. About 20% continued their studies for super specialisation in various branches. The average package was around 800000 to 120000: Rs per year. Both corporate and mid size hospital were there to take the students at very lucrative salaries.
    Infrastructure: Excellent quality of food as the mess was run by Doctors only. Over all Hostel was very good and comfortable. Almost all the sports activity was available for the students. Cost of food used to be quite low and quality used to be excellent. Labs were well-equipped and library was very big with availability of the latest books and journals. Library used to open for about 18 hours per day.
    Faculty: Probably best teacher were available and the course curriculum was governed by mci India. Students were well prepared for future industry. Teachers were available round the clock to solve any problem. Evening teaching was a trend which was unique for this college.
    Other: To become a Doctor was my dream. MCI is already working on it and has landmark changes seeing the future demand of the country. Annual fest and function was regular feature. Inter college activity used to be the big event.

    Q:   What is the ranking of KGMU under Medical category?

    King George's Medical University is ranked by one of the top ranking bodies of India, i.e., NIRF for its Medical category courses.     Q:   When will NBE conduct NEET PG 2024 exam?

    A: 

    NBE has announced the date for NEET PG 2024 exam along with the schedule of NEET MDS, FMGE recently. NEET PG 2024 will be held most likely on March 3, 2024. In the official notification, National Board of Examinstions (NBE) said the NEET PG 2024 date is tentative and candidates should keep checking the official brochure for exam date and schedule for NEET PG 2024. NEET PG 2024 application form will be released in the first week of January probably. Candidates have to register themselves online to access and submit the application form for the exam.

    Q:   Who can fill the NEET PG 2024 application form?

    A: 

    NEET PG 2024 application form can be filled by all the eligible candidates. NBE will release the eligibility criteria with the official information brochure. Aspirants must possess an MBBS degree/provisional Pass Certificate. They should also have a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility requirements carefully for the exam. NBE released NEET PG 2024 application form on April 16, 2024. The application form was released online and candidates will have to submit it there only.

    Q:   What is the last date for NEET PG 2024 application form submission?

    A: 

    NEET PG 2024 application dates were announced by NBE in the official information brochure. The application form was released on April 16, 2024.  The last date to submit application form for NEET PG 2024 was May 6, 2024. The exam was to be held on June 23, 2024 in computer-based mode but it was postponed to August 11. Candidates have to register online by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID etc. A login credentials is generated after successful registration. Registration is mandatory to submit online application form.

    Q:   How to get admission to MD at KGMU?

    A: 

    For admission to three-year PG course of MD at KGMU, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). Further, the final seat allotment to selected candidates is done through a state level counselling process, i.e., UP NEET PG, which is held by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). As per the selection criteria, candidates are selected based on both past academic records and scores of entrance exams.
