Disappointing placements with bad faculty .
Placements: Few or no companies visit the campus for placements. Students have to be on their own; they either opt for higher studies, government examination preparation, or look for off-campus jobs. The university intake includes the local crowd, which consequently results in low academic scores, and therefore they do not get good jobs. Thus, they settle for low-paying jobs, but the motive of students is just to get a degree.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very poor, and management is the worst in Kumaun University. The washrooms are very dirty; no sweeper is allotted for the duty. The library only has a little amount of books, with no Wi-Fi facility available. A sports ground is available but is mostly used by local people of the town instead of students. Only promises are made by the Student Administrative Head during selection, though they never fulfill them. Mess food is very hygienic, and medical facility is provided.
Faculty: Faculty are just busy with their own work. They come to the campus just to gossip and don't teach. Neither do they check if students are present in the classrooms or not. The course curriculum is designed so that students can pass the exams. Professors do not support you at any time; they just come to college for their salary as they never teach us.
Other: The campus is full of local goons who just force you to vote for them during elections, making big promises that are not fulfilled afterward. On alternate years, a cultural fest happens, but it is not great. There are no extracurricular activities or societies on the campus. Basic amenities are also not provided.

I am not satisfied with the campus.
Placements: During my time, there were no placement opportunities. Students joined this college take degrees. They either apply for jobs or opt for some higher studies. It was a degree college in which more focus was provided on politics rather than placements. From 2014 to now, they didn't provide any placement offers to the students.
Infrastructure: During my time, in the name of infrastructure, there were only buildings which were divided according to various courses and subjects. Classrooms were not cleaned. There was no canteen. A water cooler was not available in our college. There was a roof and a fan. Sometimes, the fan was also not working properly. There were no hostels in our college. The food served in the canteen was very expensive. Its quality was not good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were quite good. They helped us in various ways. It was a government college, so professors and assistant professors were qualified and passed out from well-reputed universities. Some of them were very arrogant. They just completed their syllabus or asked students to study on their own.
Other: I opted for this course because it was budget-friendly. During my time, events were not organised in our college.

Satisfactory faculty members, unique method of teaching.
Placements: From the past 3-4 years, when I see my college, it hasn't developed much in terms of placement. Placement is not possible for this college as we don't have skill-empowered subjects, which is a barrier to placement. You can have placements, but only by using online courses; from this college, it is not much possible because a lot more facilities are not available. So, there is an issue with companies entering the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really well maintained. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, and the library is very good, containing all types of books required for engineering. Classrooms are big with a good sound system so that everyone can listen easily. The hostel facility is okay, and the food is average.
Faculty: The teachers are quite experienced in their respective fields, highly qualified for their professions, and have great teaching experience with good skills. The curriculum is relevant, and they really prepare students for their further challenges.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in accounting.

I am not satisfied with the campus.
Placements: I pursued a B.Com course from PNG PG government college Ramnagar, which was a part of Kumaun University, and there were no placement opportunities for students. Companies had not visited our college for placement drives. Students had to go for off-campus placement offers. They did not provide any internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. Only a water cooler is available. Sometimes, it also doesn't work properly. A common ground is available in our college where anyone at any time can come and play various games. The ground is commonly used for speeches. Fans are not available in some classrooms.
Faculty: As it is a government college, faculty members are quite good and knowledgeable. Some of the faculty members are supportive. Some don't look behind students. They need to complete their syllabus. The course curriculum is not very relevant. It only prepares students to pass exams. It does not make students industry-ready.
Other: I need a graduation degree, so I opted for this course. Our teachers should focus more on the quality of education they are providing and practical learning.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure of our campus.
Placements: In the final year or last semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Our college does not provide placements for all courses. Placements are available for professional courses. All degrees are valuable because it is a government college. Students have to maintain 65% every semester to get placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides decent infrastructure. It does not provide many facilities, but they are quite worth it as per the fee. Sometimes, water drips from the roof during training season. There a frequent power cuts in hostels during training season. The quality of the food in the mess and canteen is good. The price is a little bit high.
Faculty: As it is a government college, professors are well-qualified from reputed universities. They have years of experience in teaching. Some of the faculty members are supportive. Some complete their syllabus and leave the class. They don't care whether students are getting or not.
Other: A local singer visits our college for events.
