B.Des. in Interior Design - Batch of 2027
Offered by INIFD Vashi - International Institute of Fashion Design, Vashi

Strong industry-relevant curriculum, supportive faculty, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Placement percentage is usually available on the college website since I'm still pursuing my course. Top recruiting companies are Godrej interiors, Hafele India, Kohler India, and many more. Interior designer package may vary, with the range between 80-90% in interior design.
Infrastructure: At INIFD Vashi, the interior design dept. offers high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped computer labs with design software like AutoCAD, spacious classrooms, and much more. The hostel is quite good and well-maintained with basic amenities. The food in the mess is nutritious, and medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, experienced, knowledgeable, and very supportive. They equip students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experiments, along with live site visits. The pass percentage is generally high, with students' dedication and preparation.

B.Sc. in Interior Designing - Batch of 2022
Offered by INIFD Vashi - International Institute of Fashion Design, Vashi

Our college has amazing faculty members, good placements and very good reputation.
Placements: There are three batches of 1st year B.S.c in interior designing, and every batch consists of 30 students. As we are freshers, we get the opportunity of a set designer at Lakme Fashion Week, etc. Our college is linked with national as well as international companies. We are still pursuing the course, but our seniors are getting placed.
Infrastructure: There are special Wi-Fi facilities in our college for students. The computer lab is provided for software for students. There is an ID studio for students of interior course, and fashion students have their own labs. Classrooms for every batch are available, and there is also a cafeteria. There is no hostel in our college.
Faculty: There are amazing faculty members in our college with perfect knowledge and experience. They focus more on providing practical knowledge rather than teaching from books. In our college, faculty members arrange various site visits which make us understand the current state of design in the market. Our college also conducts live sessions with well-known designers, along with the sessions of personality development.
Other: I decided to choose this course because I wanted to be in such a design field where I can start my own business or if not, I can be an employee in a well-reputed company. Our college organises many events like fest, parties, etc., for students to be enthusiastic.

Overall review of my fashion school.
Placements: Approximately 80% of students are placed upon completion of the course. As students are fewer, we don't have campus interviews. But 100% of students get placed. We are even provided with good internships and a good stipend of 5,000–15,000 per month. Most jobs are available on the train-harbour line, but a few are rarely available in Mumbai.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average and small. We have to bring our own food or buy it from outside. We have a balcony where two tables are arranged to sit and eat. Also, we have a whole classroom for extra activities after the lecture. A computer lab is available but students have to carry their own laptops.
Faculty: The faculty is the best here. Knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. Yes, they make you industry-ready, conduct workshops throughout the year and also offer internship opportunities. They provide you with internships but it's really difficult to manage both. Workshops are useful.
Other: Its a private college so there are no scholarships. The crowd is really good as compared to other fashion colleges. Do conduct events and fashion shows. I feel the campus should improve. Its small and they are trying to bring more facilities.

Our ollege has the best environment to study fashion designing in Navi Mumbai.
Placements: INIFD Vashi has tie-up with major brands like Allen Solly, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Globus, Shoppers Stop, and Reliance Trends. However, I applied to three companies, namely Tommy Hilfiger, Jack Jones, and Calvin Klein. The institute sends us emails when a company approaches for an internship, and we apply for internships as per our needs. Companies conduct interviews for different posts. An intern is hired on the basis of his/ her performance at the interview.
Infrastructure: There are multiple Wi-Fi zones present in the institute so that we are always connected. At INIFD Vashi, there are medical facilities, computer lab, garment construction labs at the institute. We have opted for certain online certifications which are modules based. So, it helps when the institute provides Wi-Fi and computer lab so that we don't have to carry our own laptops during the lectures. We would love to have a library at the institute. At present, there is no hostel facility provided by the institute. A good hostel facility will definitely help a lot of outstation students to enrol at the institute.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very qualified. They are very friendly and help a lot during lectures, industry visits, internships and final placements. The course curriculum is relevant. Every course is very well structured. For example, in the first year, we are taught about five structures - garment construction, pattern making, illustration, computer software and surface ornamentation. We are also taught about textiles and history of fashion, different facets of textile techniques - where it can be used / not used, how to cut a garment, techniques of making new types of garments are taught as well.
Other: I chose fashion designing as we have a family business. Best thing about our course is that I get to understand a different perspective, and grooming sessions are held by the faculty members so that we can differentiate ourselves in the market. Drafting is actually one of the most important parts of fashion designing. However, it is tiring and time-consuming. It should be changed, but I know for a fact that it can't be changed. INIFD Vashi has its own fashion show called Ivana in which 2nd and 3rd year students are given opportunities to have fashion show whereas the 1st year students are given opportunities to work and assist for the backstage area. Moreover, we have factory visits, international visits every year. Connectivity is good not just in Navi Mumbai but from Mumbai too.
