MBA in Media Business Management - Batch of 2020
4.2

A temple of Journalism. Asia's first and only journalism University. Good and conducive environment
Placements: As far as placements are concerned, MCU is a wonderful place if you want to make your career in the field of media. Zee, ABP, TV9 Bharatvash, ETV and lots of other local channels are the main recruiters. Due to lockdown our batch is yet not placed. However, as per the last year trend, more than 90% of students got placed in different media corporates and some of them have open their vision towards starting their own business.
Infrastructure: The quality of Infrastructure is not as good as a private college. They provide hostel facility only to girls. But the new building which is yet to start is really good. There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Large, world class campus with bus services is expected to start from the next session.
Faculty: Teachers are cooperative and very helpful in nature. Their main aim is to help the student learn and get success. No unnecessary assignments. Teachers try to help student online as well. The HOD of media management who is also the placement head is a godly figure who motivates student also bring them opportunities for job and internships.
Other: With all the facility MCU have, there is less English culture among students and teachers. In today's world where English has become the main language, MCU reiterates more on Hindi. Also, the VC keeps changing with the change of state government that hampers the curriculum every year.

Commits drills us and grills us so that the industry does't kill us.
Placements: The placement structure of the college is really good. From startups to big named organisations, we get offers from all of them. All the students get placed before the completion of the course. Our seniors are working at various organisations across different sectors of India which makes it easy for us to get to know if there is a vacancy in that company. Every year, the students get to do 2 compulsory internships given by the college. One is at an NGO, and the other is an industry internship in our field of interest. Most of us get offers to join back those companies after completing the course.
Infrastructure: There is nothing such as infrastructure in Commits. It's just one building producing industry professionals over the years. The hostel rooms in Commits are like 5-star rooms. Each room has space enough to accommodate 4 students. The college is entirely a pure vegetarian college. The classrooms are quite big with A/C in each of them. Commits college is all about smart classes where you learn from PowerPoint, videos and movies.
Faculty: The teachers at Commits are more like mentors. One can go and talk to them whenever he/she wishes to. Not only during college hours but also after that. We can contact them through the email, phone or even WhatsApp. There are three main faculty members in Commits, and all three of them are like parents. For the other subjects, we have guest lecturers who are all industry professionals working in their specialised fields.

The best media college in Bangalore which gives you knowledge and experience that will last forever.
Placements: At Commits, the students are expected to complete 3 internships as part of their course. All of which is provided by the college. The internships are fixed with top media houses based on the interest area of the students. During the internship, the students are ready and are eventually offered full-time jobs by the companies they intern with. Thus, the quality of work of the students at Commits is something to vouge for.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped and has audio-visual labs with the latest gadgets. The library has a huge stock of books. The hostel boasts of big spacious rooms, a kitchen area with micro ovens, toasters and a fridge and a laundry area with washing machine amongst others. The food in the canteen is pure veg and of South Indian cuisine.
Faculty: The faculty is ever ready and welcoming be it personal advice or anything related to the academics. The method of teaching here is interactive where the assignments and presentations are learning tools and not books. The students here get the best industry exposure both regarding internships and guest lectures. The guest lectures are held by the people who are regarded as experts in their fields.

Our college provides good faculty members.
Placements: Placements were average in this course. Almost 50-60% of students grabbed jobs in this course. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 2.5 LPA - 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good. All basic amenities were available such as classrooms, library, laboratories, Wi-Fi, etc. The food served in the canteen is not good. The menu was also not diverse. Sports were conducted in this college.
Faculty: Faculty members were helpful, well-trained, and knowledgeable. Our college provided good education. I would rate it 4 stars out of 5 for the teaching quality. The course curriculum was divided into 4 semesters. Semester exams were easy.
