The entrance exam is called MET (Manipal Entrance Test).  To be eligible for the BTech programme canidates need Class 12 pass with 60% aggregate or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects while Chemistry/Computers Science/ Biotechnology/Biology/Statistics/ Engineering Drawing as optional subjects.
