MIT University, Meghalaya Scholarships and Funding
MIT University, Meghalaya offers various scholarships, tuition fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious, needy, and deserving students.
1) U Jeebon Roy Mairom Scholarship
This is a merit-based scholarship applicable to students who have secured top three positions in 12th standard in their respective boards (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards) and students who have taken JEE (Mains). The scholarships are awarded depending upon the score secured in the examination.
a) Board Toppers:
Rank First - 100% of Tuition Fee
Rank Second - 75% of Tuition Fee
Rank Third - 50% of Tuition Fee
b) Merit in JEE:
All India Rank of Up to 25000 - 100% of Tuition Fee
All India Rank of Up to 25000 to 35000 - 75% of Tuition Fee
All India Rank of Up to 35000 to 45000 - 50% of Tuition Fee
Note:
- The application form should be supported with qualifying examination certificates.
- This scholarship will not cover the other expenses such as hostel accommodation, mess, books, etc.
2) Skendrowell Syiemlieh Scholarship
This is a merit-cum-means scholarship applicable to students who have secured a minimum of 90% marks (PCM) or 80% marks (Arts/ Commerce) in the 12th standard in the respective boards (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards). The quantum of the scholarship shall be determined based on the annual income of the parents.
Annual income of parents up to up to INR 4 lakhs - 100% of Tuition Fee
Annual income of parents INR 4 lakhs to INR 6 lakhs - 75% of Tuition Fee
Annual income of parents INR 6 lakhs to INR 8 lakhs - 50% of Tuition Fee
Annual income of parents INR 8 lakhs to INR 10 lakhs - 25% of Tuition Fee
- The application form should be supported with appropriate certificates.
- The necessary documents showing the income statements of the family members/ guardians and bank statements for the last six months should be submitted.
- This scholarship will not cover the other expenses such as mess, hostel accommodation, books, etc.
