Nagaland University Dimapur Admission Process 2024

Nagaland University is a central university having a presence through its four different campuses, one of which is Dimapur. Nagaland University Dimapur offers an AICTE-approved BTech programme at its School of Engineering & Technology. Nagaland University Dimapur's admission to BTech programme is based on the merit list of the School of Engineering and Technology Entrance Examination (SETEE). The admission notice is issued by the Dean/ Admission Convener two months before the commencement of the academic year. Candidates are granted admission through Fresh Entry, Lateral Entry, All India open category, University quota and State quota.

Nagaland University Dimapur Admission 2024: Highlights

Nagaland University Dimapur admission 2024 to its full-time BTech programme is completely merit-based. Candidates, who meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University, can apply to any of the five specialisations offered. The first-semester fee for BTech course is INR 16,570. Generally, BTech is a four-year programme, but academically weak students who are not able to clear their BTech in the first attempt, get a chance to complete their course within 12 consecutive semesters (six-year duration). During Nagaland University Dimapur admission process, preference shall be awarded to candidates with a valid score in CBSE JEE Main / JEE Advanced. Nagaland University BTech Admission 2024

At UG level, the University offers a four-year BTech programme comprising eight semesters. For Nagaland University Dimapur admission, it is mandatory for a candidate to pass Class 12. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by Nagaland University with a valid score in JEE Main/MHT CET exam can apply. It also grants admission through the University-quota. Nagaland University Dimapur admission is through Fresh Entry and Lateral Entry also.

BTech Fresh Entry:

Candidates seeking admission to any Technology specialisation after Class 12, must secure a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent and 45 per cent for the General and SC/ ST categories, respectively. Additionally, they must pass Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in their Class 12 exam. However, those applying to BTech in Biotechnology must have also passed Biology, along with PCM.

BTech Lateral Entry:

Candidates seeking admission to BTech programme through Lateral Entry mode (after Diploma/ BSc) should have an aggregate of at least 50 per cent (General Category), which is 45 per cent for SC/ ST category.

An honest review about DGC.

Placements: Though I'm not very well aware of the job placement opportunities provided by our college, however, we are made aware of the scheme about various jobs through seminars and posters. Such seminars have encouraged students to try out fields which may be of their interests.

Infrastructure: Some classrooms are small and not enough for all students to fit in. The Wi-Fi is not accessible to all students. The mess of the main hostel is quite good compared to other hostels. The hostel being within the campus is one of its advantages. The hostel is quite affordable compared to other hostels.

Faculty: The faculty of our college is the best thing about the college. They are very qualified as they are selected only through competitive exams held by the state. Only 2 internal tests are conducted per semester. The curriculum is quite flexible and average.

Other: The best thing about the college will be the faculty and the affordability of the college.

A review about my college DGC.

Placements: As far as I know, our college doesn't provide any placement after graduation; however, they do conduct seminars where we are made aware of the opportunities that might be of interest for us. All these seminars have helped us in deciding the way we would like to take after graduation or before.

Infrastructure: Some classrooms are small and it is quite difficult to fit a number of students inside them. The auditorium is also small to fit all the students. The hostel is quite good. The mess is good as compared to other hostels. Though there is no access to Wi-Fi, other than that, it is good.

Faculty: The curriculum is quite flexible. With the new FYGUP, it has become even more flexible, getting the students to cope with their routine. The exams are conducted in a fair manner and the gaps between the exams are also quite reasonable. Tests are conducted twice a semester.

Other: Fests are conducted once a year and it is quite fun. There are not a lot of extracurricular activities.

Satisfied by the faculty and facilities and placementd

Placements: The most common course offered is pol. Sc and history, almost each departments have a total of about 100 students in each batch. However the other courses like engliish, philosophy, psychology etc, are not that common as compared to the first two courses.

Infrastructure: The infra at the moment is a bit dull as it's undergoing it's construction, efforts are also being made to promote digital based learning. The canteen also provides a variety of food for the students and the faculty to ensure a healthy and good day.

Faculty: The lecturers are all highly educated and never refuses to help the students. Besides the relevance of the course curriculum also helps the students in retaining their interests. The courses are all relevant and this really makes the students industry ready.

Other: The pol. Sc course that I took up was to make me aware of my rights and freedoms ,and to contribute to the welfare of the whole society by knowing and letting know people know about their rights as well. My batch mates are very friendly and outspoken .

Dimapur Government College review.

Placements: I'm not fully aware of the placement opportunities at my college. As far as I know, there are none. However, our college holds many seminars that make us aware of job opportunities in sectors that might interest us.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at Dimapur Government College are improving these days, as some developments are taking place. The hostel is quite good and affordable, and the mess is also quite good as compared to other hostels. Wi-Fi is available at the college, but it is not accessible to everyone.

Faculty: The faculty at this college are experienced and knowledgeable, and they were selected through a competitive exam, so there is no doubt about their qualifications. The course curriculum is flexible, and if we study well, it should be easy to pass with good marks.

Other: It is quite affordable. The college has a good environment with very good faculty members.

College life with lots of memories.

Placements: There were around 500-600 students placed in our course, and the highest package offered is 3000, the lowest would be 1000, and the average package would be 2000. Since I am from the minor department, I don't really know about the recruiting companies, but as far as I know, I can join the airlines and also digital marketing and whatnot. The final year students got the opportunity to do internships at different companies and restaurants. There are no specific roles offered in my course.

Infrastructure: The facilities available in our college are too good! We have a huge library with AC, we also have a wifi connection in the college, and we have computer labs where we can finish our vocational courses. The classrooms are also big enough!

Faculty: The teachers in our college are good indeed! Some of their teachings are not up to expectations, except for our English teacher, but overall the teachers are friendly, understanding, and very kind. They are all qualified with PhD degrees and are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant because it helps the students prepare for any challenge. The semester exams are indeed hard if one does not study, plus no one can cheat because there are CCTV cameras in every classroom. The pass percentage is 45%.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to graduate with a degree. There are no specific things that I wish to improve for my course except for including more papers! There are events like Unifest, Freshers Day, Cultural Day, Sports Week, and Farewell. Unifest is the time when every student enjoys to their fullest! The campus surroundings are all green! Trees and grass are all you will see.

A brief review of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma. An honest review.

Placements: I've not heard of any direct placement by the college accepting those who appear for entrance exams to respective companies or exams. My batch is good as we got good faculty and exposure, and it was a new experience, and I believe everyone joining the college will have a fruitful time.

Infrastructure: The overall experience could be better with the infrastructure. However, since my uncle studied here, the product the college produces is good, as now there are many big shots present. I hope the same legacy continues with the upcoming students.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and well qualified. As usual, we have some good teachers who can explain well, while others are not that good at explaining despite their qualifications. The exams are moderate, and the whole curriculum is very concise and up to the mark.

Other: To be honest, it's good.
