Q:   Is M.Sc. at NFSU worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what you need to consider:

    Infrastructure and Facilities
    * The campus has a fully AC library with a vast collection of books and resources.
    * Classrooms are well-equipped with smartboards and air conditioning.
    * Canteen food is good, and options are available at an affordable price.
    * Sports facilities include indoor games, although outdoor game options are limited.

    Teaching and Faculty
    * Teachers are well-educated, knowledgeable, and experienced in their respective fields.
    * They are willing to help students both academically and personally.

    Placements
    * Placements for M.Sc. Forensic Science students are limited, with few companies visiting the campus.
    * Some students may find placements in related fields, such as cyber-security, but these opportunities are scarce.
    * Internship options exist, especially in mental health hospitals.

    Course Content and Curriculum
    * The course covers a wide range of topics in forensic science, introducing students to various fields in the first two semesters.
    * Specialization occurs in the third semester, and dissertation and internships take place in the final semester.
    * The curriculum is rigorous, with multiple exams per semester, but manageable with regular attendance and attention in classes.

    Value for Money
    * Tuition fees vary depending on the course, but M.Sc. Clinical Psychology costs around INR200,000 per year.
    * While placements are limited, senior students reported receiving packages ranging from INR10-15 Lacs per annum.
    * Many graduates choose to pursue higher education, such as a Ph.D. or a Diploma in counseling.

Considering these factors, whether M.Sc. at NFSU is worth the investment depends on individual goals and priorities. If you're interested in forensic Science and are prepared for a challenging academic environment, NFSU may offer valuable learning experiences and networking opportunities. However, if you're seeking guaranteed placements or high-paying jobs directly upon graduation, you may want to explore alternative options. Ultimately, weigh the pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.

Overall best University for M.Sc. In Forensic Sciences Course.
Placements: The placement rate at NFSU is over 71%, which is higher than any other university. The average package is around 18 LPA, and the highest package is 37 LPA. Top hiring companies include Mandiant, Google, Microsoft, Panacea Biotech, and Pinkerton. Over 67% of students received internships at top companies.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are large and equipped with modern technology, and the offices are well-equipped. The Wi-Fi is dependable, but slow during peak hours. The library is a valuable resource, but it can get crowded. The dormitory rooms need more frequent cleaning, and the food quality is inconsistent despite the complaints. The athletic facilities are basic, but the stadium is a great place to relax.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly educated and have extensive knowledge of the subject. They are very helpful and will provide you with any information you need. They not only assist with academic hurdles but also with personal issues. They are like buddies, with whom we can discuss anything. Semester exams are simple, and the pass rate is 73%.

Totally satisfied with the faculty, environment, outstanding placements in 2023.
Placements: NFSU is definitely worth for M.Sc. Forensic Biotechnology. Even you'll get better placements if you are giving your best throughout the course. Last year the placement percentage was 92% in various companies, and many students even cracked NET (JRF) and many more exams.
Infrastructure: This college has fully equipped labs, which are definitely necessary for the forensic field. The library has all the books related to the courses and needs. AC in every class. Sports arena, good mess food, have canteen too, and mainly the environment of the campus is the best.
Faculty: The faculty is good with fully experienced professors. Even they're always ready to help you in every situation. Obviously, if you're giving your best in studies, you'll definitely not face any problems, and also, they always keep up to date with the new inventions and all.
Other: I passed out in 2023, and I can definitely say that's the best decision to choose this course and college. Definitely worth the money.

Dissatisfied from the placement cell. No placement available for M.Sc. Forensic Science.
Placements: In M.Sc. forensic science, there are very few, or we can say nil, students who got placed. We have to search off campus to apply for various posts in CFSL or RFSL. According to seniors, 3–4 people got the placements; the rest have to search on there own. Totally dissatisfied.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very standard and well maintained. The library has a huge amount of resources. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The food in the mess is very good (quality and quantity). Available at an affordable price and are unlimited. Fruits (fruits, shakes, and juices) are also available (paid/limited). The sports we can play here are volleyball, cricket, tennis, and badminton.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified here. And we are always available to help students. There is open access to the various labs to learn and perform experiments under research scholars. There are too many exams we have to give. In one semester, we have to give 4 exams.
Other: Cultural events do occur at the university, as Its an international university. I wish that the placement cell should look after the placement of M.Sc. Forensic Science students more. As the name of the university suggests, it is self-recognized for forensic science.

I loved this college very much.
Placements: Over 75% of students are getting placed every year. Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, ICICI, E&Y, KPMG, Black Box, PWC, L&T Infotech, Nykaa, and Clnfochips are some of the top recruiters. Roles offered in my course include Cloud Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, Auditor, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus of the National Forensic Sciences University is fully equipped with Wi-Fi. All computer labs are good, and all computers are updated. The food in the mess is of very good quality and the best in taste. There are very limited seats in the hostel, so only 2 or 3 students are getting hostel accommodation in class.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are very helpful and always solve our problems with concepts. The curriculum in college is relevant to the industry, and it makes the students industry-ready. There are TA-1, TA-2, mid-semester, and end-semester exams conducted by the college.
Other: I am interested in the field of cybersecurity and ethical hacking.

The campus is well-maintained and clean. Fests are good.
Placements: In the 2nd last semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Microsoft, Bajaj Allianz, Bhumi, KPMG, Deloitte, etc., have visited, and they generally select 30-40 students from every batch out of 50-60 students. The average package is around 40-50 LPA per annum. Out of 100, there is a 90% chance of getting placements. I also want better placement with a handsome package.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities for girls are good on the Delhi campus, but for boys, they are very bad. The girls' hostel is within the campus, and the fees are quite high, so if possible, you can look for a PG or rented room nearby. The hostel facility is available only for 1st-year B.Sc. and M.Sc. students; in the next year, you'll have to vacate. The food at the mess is extremely bad, so opt for tiffin services. PGs and rooms for rent can easily be found in Sector 3 Rohini or Sector 7 Rohini. While filling in the form, opt for hostel facilities, and you'll get a hostel based on merit. You can rent a room through a broker or without one to save brokerage fees, or you may also interact with a senior for the same.
Faculty: The curriculum is very detailed and educative. In graduation, you choose 3 subjects, out of which 1 is your Honours subject and 2 other core subjects. Other than that, you'll have an ancillary subject and a language subject. If you want to prepare for some competitive exams in the future, then it's very helpful. All 3 core subjects have 2 papers to study, and the language and ancillary subjects have 1 paper each. The exam structure is semester-wise. You have to appear for 8 papers in one semester. One year has two semesters.

    Good University for Forensic.
Placements: Half of the students secured placements, with the majority of high-paying offers going to those specializing in cyber security. FSL or DFS recruited the majority of students, while internships were available to all students who chose to pursue them in various forensic laboratories and private institutions based on their preferences.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institution is excellent, boasting a spacious library stocked with all the necessary books for students. Additionally, the auditorium is well-maintained, Wi-Fi is readily available, and the labs are equipped with top-notch instruments and meticulously maintained. Moreover, the canteen offers a diverse range of Indian cuisines.
Faculty: The faculty members are really helpful if you know how to build a connection with them. You have to push yourself to get help from them. They are all qualified, and you will get to learn a lot from them. The exams here are not that tough; if you are attentive in the class and maintain good notes, it's an easy score to pass.
