The Department of Engineering and Technology, NIIT University Neemrana offers four-year, full-time BTech programmes in six specialisations and various sub-specialisations.
As part of the BTech programme, students are required to go through an R&D project during the sixth semester as per the guidance of the faculty mentors. Moreover, students are also exposed to a six-month/one-semester industry practice during the final year of their programme. Top-notch companies such as Amazon, IBM, PwC, SAP and Cognizant, among others recruit students for the internship/ industry practice. The important highlights regarding BTech are given below:

Note: Applicants with a valid JEE Main/ BITSAT/ SAT/ NEET/ any state engineering entrance examination rank/ score are exempted from NUAT. In the case of applicants with a valid Pearson Undergraduate Test Score, the better of the two scores (second being NUAT) will be considered. Aptitude and analytical ability, English communication skills - written & oral, interests and hobbies, degree of self-awareness, out-of-the-box thinking and reasons for the choice of the stream are assessed during NU-AIP.
NIIT University BTech Lateral Entry Admission 2025
The university accepts lateral entry candidates to the B Tech Programme at the end of the first semester of the first year or at the end of the first year as per its guidelines. For BTech Lateral Entry admission 2025, the candidates are required to submit the following documents:
- Marksheets and/ or grade sheets of the first semester or the first two semesters as applicable copy of syllabus certified by college/university
- Reasons for seeking lateral entry
- B Tech application form via online/ offline mode
Note: The documents will be examined by a competent body constituted for the purpose and if found eligible, the candidates will have to appear for Student Personal Interaction (SPI) round for lateral entry admission. There is no automatic waiver of credits accumulated at the candidate's institution. The final credit waiver will be arrived at after examining the commonality in the course content of NU and the Applicant's institution.
