You can get a lot better university for the money. Don't go for the looks.
Placements: Above 80% were placed but many of them did it through their own efforts and university had no role in it. Many of the students got opportunities they were unsatisfied from when provided by the University. The top roles included business analysts and developers .
Infrastructure: The quality of food was horrible and paying for the mess was mandatory. I personally dropped 20 kgs in a short time which is not very healthy. The hostels were newly built but were already starting to deteriorate. Staying inside the hostel was mandatory and hence again the student couldn't live somewhere else if they wanted to.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and the quality of education is above average. The difficulty of exams isn't too high and relative grading helps securing better grades. The course curriculum is good and relevant. It focuses on projects to make the students industry ready. However, the implementation is poor which results in students not actually learning.
Other: From an academic point of view the university is good. However from a quality of life point of view it is really bad. Girls cannot open their windows in hostels and it's very suffocating for some. The administration is not student friendly. Overall area is a little unsafe as during my time a student went missing and was never found till date.

University of future? More like mentality of the past.
Placements: Our batch had the largest intake compared to our previous batches, as much as 4 times the strength of the previous batch. There were some problems with placements because of that but there is only so much the college can do for you. The students had to crack the interview and the people that didn't get placed through on campus placements blamed the college but it was their own shortcoming. Major companies were IBM, PwC, CitrusPay, and Amazon. The highest salary in our batch was 12 lakhs p.a. and the average was around 4.5 lakhs p.a. As for job roles, there was a lot of variety. People have even gone for management jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best thing about this college though you can't compare it to giants like Amity. Wi-Fi has a good speed but was unstable during our time, faced a lot of downtimes. Hostels are newly built, the second UG was completed in 2015, hence the rooms are pretty good compared to other colleges. The hostels had facilities like microwave, tennis court and medical rooms but the microwaves were mismanaged by the students and towards the end, it came down to 2 working microwaves for the whole hostel. (From around 12) The library has a good academic selection but a low variety of fiction/non-fiction novels. The labs are average and have working equipment.
Faculty: ECE branch has some good faculty like Dr. Vikas Upadhyay, Dr. Sancheti, and Dr. Sanjay Kumar but apart from a few, most of the faculty members are inexperienced and not so good at teaching. The course curriculum had a lot of unnecessary subjects according to me at least for someone who's going into engineering fields. The faculty-student ratio is decent because of a low number of students compared to other colleges. Most teachers use projectors and read out a PPTthat they made. You need to work hard on your own.
Other: Some rules of the campus were pretty unnecessary and some of the staff are pretty sexist. Rules imposed on female students and strictness to follow them is more than for male students.

NIIT University - The university of the future.
Placements: Our college follows the structure of BITS Pilani. Half of the passing out batch goes for their industrial practice (internship for 6 months) from July to December and the other half goes from January to June. The usual percentage of students placed from the campus is around 70%. But most of my seniors are well placed at good companies. The highest package from the campus last year was 15 lakhs per annum. Internships are a bit slack in this college and you must find them on your own, but according to me, placement will not be an issue if you have a good CGPA to show to the companies. Don't come with a CGPA of 4.6 and expect to be in a company like IBM for sure.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. The hostels provided are good. The labs are well equipped (at least for the electronics students). There is a doctor present on campus 24x7. The quality of food in mess is not so good (story of every college), however, we have canteens such as Hot Oven Delivery and Nescafe. The food there is good! The Wi-Fi speed is very high and that is one of the best things here. However, let me tell you now that you can use this college's Wi-Fi only on one device (either laptop or phone) and that is a bit of hindrance. Other than that, the college has a really good infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty is not very good, but that does not mean it is bad as well. There are some great teachers (Sanjay Gupta and Navin Kapoor are two names). The course load is UGC recommended so no problem in that. The faculty is very helpful, and since all of you will live on the same campus, you can ask them doubts any time. That includes in the mess as well. We have smart boards for teaching. The faculty to student ratio for a single class is usually 1:40. We get industry exposure quite less, and that is not a good thing about this college.

Good but not the best! Life is less social but get a lot to learn.
Placements: Previous records are not very luring but this time the management is trying to get all of us placed in good places. We also undertake soft skills and aptitude classes so as to improve our employability. Students aspiring for GATE are given special attention and extra classes too.
Infrastructure: 24*7 wifi. Fairly good speed and available in all corners of the hostel and college. Classrooms are modern and creative teaching is encouraged. Living spaces are also good although girls' room windows are sealed and girls warden is "the most illogical woman in the world". The food in the canteen is fine. They are working to improve the food taste. Infrastructure is very good and eco-friendly. Anti-litter campus. No provisions for overnight stay for guests or relatives.
Faculty: ECE faculty members are good and focus on building our interest in the concept of the particular subject. ECE students are less in number (30-40 hardly) so teachers are able to attend to us better. Teachers live in campus so are available 24*7 in case of doubts. Visiting faculty can be contacted via e-mail anytime. Different teachers use different teaching methods to make the class interesting.
Other: Eco-friendly college but situated at the corner of a really small town. Many luxuries (food chains, mall, movie theatre) not available nearby. The nearest hospital is also 45 mins away. Since it is a fairly new college, our protests and demands are frequently met.

Decent private college if you can't go anywhere else.
Placements: Placements consist of 4-5 really good companies (Amazon, PWC, KPMG, IBM, PayU etc.) who offer packages of 5 LPA+. Apart from that, other companies & start-ups who come offer decent compensation but not a great name. Roles offered are primarily technical, with a few non-technical and consulting roles. The college could place about 70% of the batch in total, while the rest got their own jobs/internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities at NU are really great compared to other colleges. The entire campus has great wifi, classrooms have projector and speaker systems. There are over 5 computer labs, 3 electronics labs and 3 biotech labs. Hostels are well furnished and clean with an air-cooling system installed for the summers. Sports facilities include football, basketball, tennis, cricket. indoor includes pool, table tennis and indoor games. Food available is good, though you might get bored of it soon. Lack of other eating options within the campus.
Faculty: The faculty here is just above average - senior teachers being very knowledgeable and helpful while junior teachers less so. Student to teacher ratio in classrooms is generally 40:1 and curriculum is partly updated according to industry requirements. Teachers extensively use powerpoint to teach, with assignments and other work through an online portal called Moodle. Exams for a lot of subjects are computer based, rather than pen and paper.
