NIMS University Jaipur provides scholarships to help students who are brilliant in academics and are not supported by the means to pursue education. Till now, over 50,000 meritorious students have been awarded NIMS University scholarships. The University has a limited number of merit and need-based scholarships offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
NIMS University Scholarship Highlights 2023-24
The key points applicable for all the NIMS University Jaipur scholarships are listed below:
- The scholarship is applicable only to the first-year tuition fees.
- The scholarships are not applicable to Diploma Paramedical, Nursing, Pharmacy & PHD, PGBJ PR & Event Management, Anchoring & Reporting, Video Editing & Post Production, Integrated Documentary Film Making, Photo Journalism, Graphic & Web Designing, Radio Content & Management programmes.
- Students are required to deposit the examination fee at the time of examination, purchase the uniform kit (as applicable) and subscribe to mandatory club fees.
- The scholarship is granted on an annual basis and continuation in the second and further years of the programme is subject to scholarship policy.
- Students must secure a position in the top 5% of the merit list of the programme to continue availing of a 100% scholarship. Likewise, for the continuation of a 75% and 50% scholarship, students will have to secure a position in the top 10% and top 20% of the merit list for the programme, respectively.
- NIMS University scholarships are applicable after one year only when there is a minimum of 30 students in the batch.
- Candidates securing the above percentages are required to submit NIMS University application form. The final decision of granting a scholarship is in the hands of the scholarship committee.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

4. NIMS University Common Scholarship cum Entrance Examinations
It is offered for programmes after Class 12 as well as after graduation. The eligibility criteria and percentages set for the scholarship are mentioned below:
Eligibility condition: Students who have passed Class 12 must have less than 80% in the approved board. The graduates applying for this scholarship must hold less than 70% in Class 12 and the graduation percentage should be less than 65%.

NOTE: Students are eligible to upgrade in case the aggregate percentage in qualifying exams meets the criteria as mentioned in Prof (Dr.) Balvir Singh Tomar Merit-Based Scholarship. In such cases, an application and a valid copy of the result have to be submitted.
5. Scholarship for State/ National Level Players:
NIMS University awards 50% scholarships to candidates who have played in state or national-level games. Such candidates must hold a valid state or national-level certificate and are eligible for all the programmes except council courses.
6. For Specially Abled Candidates
Candidates who have more than 40% disability in both UG and PG programmes are offered a 50% scholarship. Candidates must submit the proof at the time of admission and the scholarship will be offered after due verification.
7. For NIMS Alumni
The University offers a 50% concession to the students who continue their education at NIMS University Jaipur. The maximum gap in education should be two years.
8. Scholarships for Defence
- What is the eligibility for this scholarship? Candidates whose parents are in defence services are given an additional 10% scholarship.
- Is this scholarship offered in addition to other scholarships? It is an application over and above the scholarship earned on the basis of merit, except those who have earned 100% scholarships and scholarships earned on the basis of NIMS University Common Scholarship cum Entrance Examinations.
- It is applicable for admission to both UG and PG courses.
9. For State/ National Level Entrance Examination
- Candidates who have appeared in any state/ national-level entrance exams such as JEE, CLAT and others are offered a 10% additional scholarship.
- It is an additional 10% scholarship applicable over and above the scholarship earned on a Merit-basis except for those who have earned 100% and scholarship earned on the basis of NIMS University Common Scholarship cum Entrance Examinations.
- It is valid for both UG and PG admissions.
10. JEE Exams Scholarships
- Students who get ranked up to 3 lahk in JEE Mains are given a 100% waiver in first-year tuition fee
- Students who get ranked between 3 lakh to 5 lakh in JEE Mains are provided with an 80% waiver in first-year tuition fee
