Nirma University final review

Placements: Good in placements, plus the PR of the college is good enough to bring good companies to the campus. Companies such as Microsoft, L&T, etc come every year to take best of the students. Forget the placement cell, the Institute of Nirma University is too good for newcomers too. It also helps in providing internships under best business players in the industry.

Good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: Placements are not at the level where they should be. But all in all, they are quite okay. A few big names do come. Marketing fetches good placements compared to finance. HR and operations suffer a lot in placements. Some companies turn up for internships but not for placements.

Nirma - a lifetime journey.

Placements: Nirma provides 100% placements. You just have to push your academics because many brands demand a good record. In our batch, the highest salary was 7.5 lacs and the lowest was 2.4 lacs. Good communication and good technical knowledge are the two important aspects of the placement.

The infrastructure of the college is very good.

Placements: There were good placements for the senior batch and 60% of students were placed. The salary they were offered was in the range of 2 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum. Not all companies visited here. The stipend they got was about 5,000 to 15,000 during internships. Companies offered different positions based on their studies because so many courses are running here, especially for MCA for which they offered programmer, web development and various other roles.

Absolutely satisfied with campus and quality of academics.

Placements: Placements are average, mostly similar to the other second tier colleges. For specialisation in marketing, the opportunity is good as compared to other disciplines. Almost 95% of our seniors got placed before the convocation. Mostly all the student got placed for the internship. For internship placement profiles were good, but the stipend was on the lower side.

Good MBA college but there is a lot of scope for improvement.

Placements: Placements stats are decent but have not improved for the last few years. The average salary has hovered around 8 LPA. Hence the return on investment is a matter of concern. The diversity in profiles is comparatively better. The internships are majority provided by the college itself and the stipend ranges from 50k to nil. The location of the placements is mainly Mumbai and other metros. Few companies offer tier 2 cities also.
