Life in National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
Placements: The placements for the Architecture department are actually less in the country. Still, the country holds decent placement records in the department. Most of the students get into firms after B.Arch. The highest package provided is around 12 LPA. The top role offered is as a designer.
Infrastructure: The main highlight of the campus is its infrastructure. The campus is surrounded by a lush green garden. The library and classrooms are really great. The Wi-Fi facility provided is also strong. The sports facilities on the campus are amazing, especially for football and athletics.
Faculty: All the faculty members and professors are really friendly and supportive to students, especially in the department of Architecture. After five years of the course, all the students get industry-ready. The workload for Architecture students is a bit hectic compared to other departments.
Other: The campus life is really enjoyable.

Excellent college life but hectic course.
Placements: Nearly all the sit for campus placements are placed. The average package for bachelor of architecture is 8 Lacs per annum. The internships for B.Arch is provided in 4th year and it's compulsory for all the students to be the part of internship programme.
Infrastructure: Each classrooms are provided with LAN support with which a student can connect his/her device for fluent internet connection besides this a central library is provided which is accessible to all the students. The hostel facilities are quiet good with 24/7 electricity connectivity and with continuous Wi-Fi connection. There are various canteens sports complexes to play various sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are wonderful and very much friendly. The course cirruxulum is a bit hectic for architecture degree but it's good and well planned. The semester exams are quiet easy to pass and a student who had studied a minimum but truly can easily pass.
Other: I personally loved this course hence I opted for it. The best thing about this course is it open up our mind to a great extent and open up endless ideas to execute. The course is a bit hectic and it must be improved. There are ample amount of fests taking place so that a student gets involved in the college and enjoy college to its the fullest.

We, desparates in NIT Rourkela .
Placements: NIT Rourkela started Architecture branch in year 2013. So till now there are very less number of alumnis from this branch. And there are only 20 seats there. Most of the students from architecture branch get off campus placements. It's easier to get internship here as compared to other colleges and as you know it's 9th ranked architectural college in India.
Infrastructure: The new architecture building is under construction. And now we have studios and classrooms are in another building. Infrastructure wise it's good and college provides lot of opportunities here. As a 1st year student, we live in VS hostel, and infrastructure wise it's a good hostel having more than 1000 students. It has all the facilities like gym, badminton, table tennis, night and day canteen.
Faculty: Faculty members are student friendly. They help us in academics. They are well educated and experienced. But NIT RKL study curriculum is little bit outdated. Faculty members are highly experienced and very well versed in their respective subjects. They are very helpful towards the students in every aspect. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:15. There are majorly 2 exams named midsemester and endsemester.

I am satisfied, and there is a scope for improvement.
Placements: Placements are fine here. About 30% of students get placed from our course. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. L&T and HCL are the top recruiters here. About 100% of students got internships in top companies. Architects are the top roles offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Good facilities and infrastructure are available for our course/department like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and library. Better quality facilities are provided in our hostel. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers here were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was quite good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students better.

    The college has awesome infrastructure.
Placements: Our placements were great. Almost 100% of the students who sat for placements were placed in big companies across India and abroad. The highest package was 15.6 lacs per annum by Snapdeal. The median salary was 5.6 lacs per annum. Last year many new start-up companies also came for recruitments.
Infrastructure: Our campus is huge and consists of 1024 acres. It is the 2nd largest engineering college in India. The infrastructure is outstanding on the campus. We have every amenities from the gym to swimming pool. We have many eateries and cafes on the campus. The mess food is great. We have two stadiums, and both are having floodlights. Our cultural and tech fests are the biggest in East India. Other than these we have many other mini-fests.
Faculty: The teaching quality is great. All the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. We have almost 100% placements. The curriculum is based on credits, and it is very helpful for the students. Other than academics we have extracurricular activities like NCC, NSS and PE.
Other: The fests are awesome and are the largest of Eastern India. Rourkela railway station is near to the campus.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: As ours is a professional course, a lot of people go for higher studies. Around 4 students sat for placements in the previous year, and they all got placed in L&T company. I don't have any idea about the salary packages offered. As of now, our department students are getting placed in L&T company only.
Infrastructure: I am highly satisfied with the infrastructure of our campus. The hostel is provided with LAN connections for internet. We have very well-equipped labs for practicals and experiments. The mess is also very good, and all types of Indian foods are served, and students are happy with the food menu.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very relevant, and our course teachers are also very good. Teaching is very good. They teach in a very detailed manner apart from the theoretical part because the experimental part helps us to gain more knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do designing. I like doing designs and planning things. It would be better if we get a permanent departmental building for our course and it would better if we have more number of intakes. I can proudly say that an NIT Rourkela is one of the prestigious institutes which exclusively conducts a lot of fests respectively for the literacy, technical and sports societies.
