Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   How is NIT Rourkela cutoff marks determined?

A:

The NIT Rourkela GATE CCMT cutoff 2024 is determined based on a few key factors:

  1. Total number of seats available: The cutoff primarily depends on the total number of seats available in medical colleges across the country for that particular year.
  2. Number of candidates appearing for the exam: The larger the number of candidates appearing for NEET, the higher the competition and the higher the cutoff scores.
  3. Difficulty level of the question paper: If the question paper is perceived to be difficult in a given year, the cutoff scores tend to be lower to account for the tougher exam. Conversely, an easier paper may result in higher cutoff scores.
  4. Normalization process: NEET UG uses a normalization process to ensure fairness across multiple sessions of the exam. This normalization takes into account the difficulty level of each session's question paper.

After analysing all these factors and ensuring a fair and equitable selection process, the final cutoff for each category is determined by SVNIT Surat, which is the governing body for CCMT admissions. The cutoff marks are published after the declaration of results.

During the choice filling, the candidates can change, reorder, delete and add their choices of programmes or institutes as per their preference within the stipulated schedule.

The candidate will not be able to add, remove or change their choices after locking the choice list or after the stipulated date. Step : Online Document Verification – The institutes will verify the documents uploaded by candidates online. In case the verifying officers have a doubt regarding any of the documents, then they will raise a query to the candidates, to which they have to respond by logging in to the website. In case of any discrepancy in the documents or lack of fulfilling the eligibility criteria, their provisional admission offer may get withdrawn or cancelled.
