Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   How is NIT Rourkela cutoff marks determined?

A:

The NIT Rourkela GATE CCMT cutoff 2024 is determined based on a few key factors:

  1. Total number of seats available: The cutoff primarily depends on the total number of seats available in medical colleges across the country for that particular year.
  2. Number of candidates appearing for the exam: The larger the number of candidates appearing for NEET, the higher the competition and the higher the cutoff scores.
  3. Difficulty level of the question paper: If the question paper is perceived to be difficult in a given year, the cutoff scores tend to be lower to account for the tougher exam. Conversely, an easier paper may result in higher cutoff scores.
  4. Normalization process: NEET UG uses a normalization process to ensure fairness across multiple sessions of the exam. This normalization takes into account the difficulty level of each session's question paper.

After analysing all these factors and ensuring a fair and equitable selection process, the final cutoff for each category is determined by SVNIT Surat, which is the governing body for CCMT admissions. The cutoff marks are published after the declaration of results.

The lowest salary package offered is 3.3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 13.36 LPA. The median salary package offered is 10.50 LPA. The highest salary package is offered by VISA in software domain. Decent internship opportunities are provided too if we study well.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is decent. Some buildings are old while some are new. All classrooms are fully air-conditioned with digital board in new lecture hall complex. Projectors are available in all classrooms. Hostel rooms for 1st-year are 2 seaters with decent size provided with 2 beds, 2 tables, and 1 chair so one can imagine the size. Mess is good in comparison with other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Knowledge is a different thing and teaching skill is a different thing, so sometimes lectures can be boring. Course curriculum in 1st year is almost the same for every branch and then core subjects come into the picture. Semester exams are considered the most difficult one among all colleges in India.

NITian story from distance.
Placements: Almost all students were placed. The highest package is around 1.82 crore from the Electronics and Instrumentation Department. The average is almost 14 lac, and the median is also around 14 lac. In my department, 100 percent of students got placed. All types of companies come for placement, and almost half of the companies are open for all branches.
Infrastructure: All the hostels have LAN connections, so you just have to install a router and get free internet. The hostel has a study room, gym, badminton court, basketball court, etc. The hostel food is the worst, but initially, the food was the best; the taste degraded over time.
Faculty: The academic curriculum is highly tough, as they follow 85 percent attendance. The teachers are helpful and also provide class presentations. Exams are conducted as follows: for one semester, there are 30 marks for the mid-semester, 50 marks for the end-semester, and the remaining 20 marks are given by the professor depending on attendance and class tests.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty ! And placements are average, you'll only get a degree !
Placements: Well, placements of this college was very average only few of the batchmates will secure placements and the minimum salary of 3lpa which is like 25k per month this is not expected from a top tier NIT ! For mechanical students here in NIT Rourkela the average is around 6-8 LPA and the highest goes around 15lpa in the core jobs. The highest package mentioned in website are somewhat fake because it? S the package of a mechanical student who attended no core placements and coming to internship out 115-120 students only 1-2 will be selected for internship!
Infrastructure: For first years, the infrastructure of the hostel was way too bad It? S not even painted for 4-5 years ! Very small rooms are allocated to 2 people the rooms actually made for only one however they gave to two people and the Wi-Fi they don? T provide any outer we have to buy they just give a LAN port and drinking water facility in hostel only one purifier in block which is no good And the infrastructure of college and academic area was good no complain ! Library is well-equipped no issues.
Faculty: There are mixed up reviews on faculty ! Some are good some are literally not eligible even for teaching in the first semester we ended up wafting YouTube to study that? S how bad the faculty was ! The semester exams were a little tough and majority of the class passes except 5-10% of people !
Other: Well, here in Rourkela many of the faculty are based! They show partiality to Odisha students, they give more marks to them ! The events are very good in the college by the way ! The campus is very close to city which helps us a lot.

Review of National Institute of Technology
Placements: Yes, the percentage of placements provided in my course was so good that it was more than 75%. The highest and the lowest packages offered to this course are 12 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. The percentage of students getting internships in this course is 70% in companies like Anthey Web Technology and Axis Bank.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my course were so super—Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms—everything is available for all students in the college. The quality and facilities in my hostel and canteen were very good. Medical services are available, and sports and games are present in my course.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. The teachers in my college were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with great teaching qualities. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are industry-ready. The semester exams in my course are so easy, so the pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose this course to get the best knowledge about ceramics. There is no wish to improve in this course. The events are very good, and scholarships are available in my course. Extracurricular activities always happen.

It is a very good college.
Placements: More than 80% of students got placed in our branch this year. In our department, the highest salary package offered as per the latest information is 31 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 11-12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Reliance, ONGC, and some other core companies visit the college to hire students. This year very few students were able to get an internship.
Infrastructure: Our department is very well-equipped with lab instruments. It even provides a good area to perform our academic-related stuff. I am allotted at Vikram Sarabhai Hall of Residence, which is the only hostel for first-year students. The first-year students live with PhD scholars. In my opinion, rooms are not at all sufficient for two people to live in.
Faculty: Faculty members whom I have come across are decently good. First-year students are taught by assistant professors or associate professors. All the professors are from Odisha itself. They are well-qualified in their respective sectors, but there is an issue with English here. They do speak in English but it is hard for us to decode what they are telling.
Other: I personally chose this course because I found chemical engineering to be an interesting course. I also wanted to explore my area of interest in this particular course.

Best facilities are in our college.
Placements: 80% of students are placed every year in our college. The highest packages is 44 LPA and the lowest packages are 3.2 to 5 LPA, with an average package of 7 to 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, IBM, Google, Meta, Genpact, etc. More than 500 students are placed in good companies for internships as well as jobs guarantees.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and newly painted. Most of the area is green, both inside and outside the college. Our department is the best because we get all the facilities from them, like exam books, internet connections, Wi-Fi and clean classrooms. Hostel food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are well trained and have more years of experience in teaching. They are well qualified from top-reputed colleges. The teaching facilities in our college, especially in our courses, are very good. The course curriculum is relevant to new trends and students learn practically, which makes them ready for the industry. For the semester exams like 7th and 8th, the passing percentage is 67%.
