The college campus is very friendly.
Placements: But the placements in my college are really good. All students who get a CGPA of seven or above can sit for Amazon and Microsoft placements, and for Google, it is 8 CGPA, and they check your projects and works and everything. This year, the average package went about 18 LPA for computer science, and many of the students got placed. The highest was 1.2 crores this year.
Infrastructure: The annual tech first is called Innovation, where a lot of celebrities also come and give TED Talks. There is a large accessibility of books and journals available in the library, everything between from finance to quantum physics. Sports are heavily pushed here, from badminton grounds to cricket stadiums and volleyball courts, and there are many social groups and clubs and a student portal as well as even counseling support clubs.
Faculty: Faculty in all colleges are somewhat the same; some are good, and some are a pain for students, but it's best to just keep doing your business and study properly. The exams aren't too difficult, but I would recommend starting to study at least 2 weeks prior to your exams. The correction again depends from subject to subject and upon the teachers as well. There are mid-sems and end-sems, and some teachers take class tests to grade your internals or give assignments to grade them.

Faculty: Supportive professors and administrative staff.
Placements: Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, etc. and all service-based companies are our regular recruiters. Microsoft and Google have visited the campus and gave the highest package of 2500000. Tata Ceramics, Cera, and Vedanta recruit ceramic engineers. All of us are placed in my batch from Ceramic Engineering. Alumni is very strong for our NIT; this is more than 60-year-old college. I have no idea on startups from my batch.
Infrastructure: We have dual sharing rooms and single sharing rooms divided across 11 different hostels. Meal quality is quiet horrible but edible. Registration for the hostel and its affordability are quite stringent. But there is a provision for pure vegetarian eaters among all hostilities.
Faculty: The M.Tech program at NIT Rourkela features a well-structured curriculum with a mix of core and elective courses. The faculty members are experienced and well-qualified. I selected this program for its Ph.D. or equivalent degrees and its academic reputation, industry connections, and research opportunities. NIT Rourkela maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring individualized attention and guidance. The faculty holds employs a practical, application-oriented teaching approach. Term exams are typically conducted on schedule, and pass difficulty varies by course, with ample support provided for success.

    M.Tech life in NIT Rourkela.
Placements: I am pursuing my masters in software engineering, and there are 22 students, out of which 14 are placed with the highest package of 38 LPA and the lowest package of 4 LPA. Companies like Qualcomm, Micron, Tata, Disney, Jio, and many others came with placement opportunities, but with few openings. The top roles offered were SDE, software engineer, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good; we have classes and labs with Wi-Fi and AC. Hostels are just fine, but my hostel (SD Hall) has very good infrastructure, with water heaters in bathrooms, Wi-Fi, AC study rooms, a sports room, and a gym. The mess food is not that good.
Faculty: The teaching of a few faculty members is not that good; they just come and show PPT presentations. The course curriculum is very good, totally according to our specialization. There are two exams throughout every semester, and the difficulty level is pretty moderate.

Wonderful and Beautiful Campus and infrastructure.
Placements: The average placement here is decent, but the highest package always amazes us. This time it was 21 LPA, which is pretty good. Students are eligible for campus placements starting in the 7th semester. Talking about the companies, you won't get to see companies like Google and Microsoft, but companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini do visit the campus and offer pretty good packages.
Infrastructure: Hostel Facilities: In the hostel room, there is a LAN connection with a 3 mbps speed and unlimited data. No AC is divided in the hostel room. The hostel's food menu and food quality are very good. Once you are admitted to NITR, the hostel will automatically be allocated. 100% residence; in some special/medical cases, some may stay outside the campus.
Faculty: I think MTech in the electronics field is a good option. It has huge research and application potential. The faculty-student ratio is good, almost 10:1. The faculty members are all Ph.D.s from IITs. They are well-experienced. There are two- semesters in a year. There is one midterm and one end-term exam in a semester. All question papers are prepared based on the topics covered. The weekly quizzes are tough. Other exams are moderately difficult to pass.

Good placement, infrastructure, amazing festivals, require improvement in accommodation facilities.
Placements: The placement percentage of our course is almost 98%. The highest/lowest/average package - According to the latest data, the highest package is 19 LPA, the lowest package is 3.6 LPA, the average package is 11.61 LPA, and the median package is 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies - Aditya Birla Group, JSW, JSL, Reliance Industries Limited, Vedanta, etc. Internship - It is difficult to find on-campus internships because there are very limited opportunities, but you can easily get off-campus internships through references.
Infrastructure: All faculty members of NITR are very knowledgeable. Most of them are from IITs and NITs. Almost all of them are involved in some research activities. Classrooms - Classrooms are air-conditioned, spacious, and equipped with smart boards, etc. Library - NITR has a three-storey library, which is fully air-conditioned and contains a vast number of books on whatever you want to study. Accommodation - Accommodation is just okay. In NITR, it is very difficult to get a single occupancy room if you are an undergrad. There are only double occupancy rooms. Mess/Canteen - The mess at NITR is very good compared to other NITs. You can also find videos related to the mess on YouTube. Each hostel has at least two canteens: a day canteen and a night canteen. The night canteen is open till 1 AM, which is good for those who love night study. Medical facilities - 24*7 medical services are available inside the campus. Sports and Games - At NITR, you can participate in all types of sports. There is even a swimming pool on our campus.
Faculty: As mentioned earlier, professors at NITR are very knowledgeable and well-qualified. Most of them are from IITs and NITs. Everyone is involved in some research activities and has many patents in their name. Curriculum - In the first two semesters, all branches have common subjects, and from the third semester, there are branch-specific subjects. Exams - There are two exams in each semester: one mid-semester and the other end-semester. The mid-semester is worth 30 marks for each subject, and the end-semester is worth 50 marks per subject. If you simply concentrate in class, scoring marks is very easy.
Other: Placement is so good in our course. If you love metallurgy, choosing this course is a very good option. Festivals - There are four festivals each year organized by our college: Innovision, Nitrutsav, Osmopolition, and Vriddhi. You can get more details about these on YouTube. Campus - The campus is so big that the distance between the hostel and the academic area is about 1.5 km. Campus life - Joining NITR is the best decision of my life. NITR has a ragging-free campus. The festivals are just amazing. Last year, Admit Trivedi sir came to our college. Connectivity - Rourkela railway station is only 9 km away from NITR. You can easily find public transport anytime you want.

This is the best Choice of my life.
Placements: As a current M.Tech student in Electronics and Communication at NIT Rourkela, I've had the opportunity to experience the institute's myriad facts, from academics to extracurriculars. There's an insider's look at what makes NIT Rourkela a unique and dynamic environment for higher education. One of the highlights of NIT Rourkela is its impressive placement record. For the Electronics and Communication department, the placement percentage consistently hovers around 85-90%. Top recruiters include prominent companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft, offering roles that range from research and development to system design and software engineering. The placement scenario at NIT Rourkela remains robust, with a strong network of alumni and industry connections. Apart from the core companies like Intel and Qualcomm, other top recruiters include IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, Samsung, and L&T. The institute's dedicated placement cell works tirelessly to ensure that students have access to the best opportunities in their respective fields.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at NIT Rourkela are commendable. There are separate hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students, each equipped with the necessary amenities. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with 24/7 electricity and water supply. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the hostels, ensuring that students have access to the internet for academic and personal use. NIT Rourkela places a strong emphasis on holistic development. The institute has excellent sports facilities, including a well-equipped gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, cricket and football fields, and a swimming pool. Students are encouraged to participate in various sports, and there are numerous clubs and societies for those interested in cultural activities, technical pursuits, and social cases. The mess and canteen are super amazing. Every day nonveg will be there, so Non veg eaters be ready this is your Dream adda.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but some Odia teachers are very old-fashioned, They give undue advantage to their Favourites. Especially Odia guys. The course curriculum is relevant and makes you industry-ready. Here you need not worry about the course curriculum, the environment and friend circle will teach you a lot. Semester exams are quite difficult. Some professors do experiments with question papers so you have to study, no option left.
Other: NIT Rourkela is renowned for its vibrant campus life. The annual techno-management fest, Innovision, and the cultural fest, Nitrutsav, are major highlights. I choose this course because NIT Rourkela is one of the top institute of the country and After cracking GATE I was getting a seat here in the above mentioned branch so analysing the career opportunities I thought this course would be a gamechanger for me.
