Review of Sunandan Divatia School of Science, NMIMS, Mumbai.

Placements: Placements are decent in our college. The previous year, the average salary package offered was 9 LPA. A lot of companies visit our college. Overall, placements are adequate but I believe you can get better pay if you find your own job.

Infrastructure: The course is excellent and has a lot of possibilities to give returns in the future. It has good value for money. Our college hostels are terrible.

Faculty: The course curriculum is the same as at Columbia and Harvard. Teachers try their best to explain but at times, they fail to explain the concepts with clarity. But still, teachers are open to helping in the case of any problem. The examination department is strict.

Other: In our college, no events take place on campus and clubs are dead.

Facilities in the college can be improved a little.

Placements: Around 60% of the students got placed. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 1.5 LPA. Asian Paints, Nivea, Cactus Communication, etc., companies visited the campus. Companies like IPCA, Lupin, BARC, etc., also visit the college. Research associates, QA, QC and scientific writer roles are offered to the students.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our college are very good, but the labs are a bit small. Wi-Fi facility, library and classrooms are excellent. I don't know about the hostel, but the mess and canteen offer very good food, and the quality is great. Sports events are organised in our college, and also games facilities are available.

Faculty: The teachers are very good and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is designed for students to be industry-ready. Overall, it is a great experience here, and I learned many things about the industry, CV building, and we also had soft skill development sessions to face the interview.

I am quite satisfied with the overall facilities provided.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered currently is 5.5 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. Cactus Communications is one of the top recruiters. Biocon, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, etc., are the recent recruiters.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is a bit congested, but they provide quite a fair amount of facilities. Free Wi-Fi is provided in certain areas. Library facilities are excellent, and it is quite big. Strict silence is maintained for fruitful study time.

Faculty: Almost all teachers have PhDs. The curriculum is well-suited for equipping students for the skills and knowledge required in current science. Teachers' method of teaching is mostly via PowerPoint presentations, but some of them resort to new innovative ways which make learning productive.

Good placements. Canteen, sport lounge is superb. Crowd is good, faculty and infrastructure is good.

Placements: 100% placements, Highest, lowest & average salary are 16.8 LPA, 5 LPA & 8 LPA respectively. HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Accenture, Course 5i etc are the top companies. Top roles offered by the companies are data scientist, Data analyst & Cloud Infrastructure Service. 100% students get internships.

Infrastructure: The facilities that college provides us are Wi-Fi, computer labs, sports lounge, library, discussion area etc. Food quality is very good. The taste is very good. They always try to keep the canteen hygienic as much as possible. Good medical facilities are available 24*7 of the week.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable and always enthusiast to share their knowledge and experience with the students. Their teaching is superb. About the course curriculum, it is relevant to those who want to make their career in the industries, or who wants to go for a business.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn about the hot tools of analytics company and simultaneously I wanted to have theory knowledge of statistics so that I should have theory as well as practical knowledge of whatever the projects I will do in my future. I think the timing of the college is a bit difficult to manage for the students. Soo it should get reduce and they should allow a little bit free time for the students. There are many events which held in SDSOS such as Sankhiki of MSc statistics and MSc applied statistics. As I don't have any interest in such events so I am not familiar with all the events. Fest name is Ex Calibur, Campus crowd is superb. College do provide scholarship and one of them is cytel. Extracurricular activities are journal club (presentations), symbol making competition, quiz contest etc

Learning the application of statistics in corporate world.

Placements: 1. 100 percent placement. 2. The lowest package was 5 Lacs. the highest was 10.25 Lacs. 3. Yes, there were top recruiting firms. 4. Mid level roles were offered. 6. 90 percent of the students got internship. The college tries to push most of the students to the companies but if there are any students left, the college provides the students with data to prepare their projects.

Infrastructure: The college has got all the facilities that should be present in an ideal college. There was Wi-Fi available with fee restrictions. The labs are really good. The classrooms are well maintained. Library is really a knowledgeable place that supplies us with good amount of books.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and they encourage us to engage in different analytics competition. This helps us to get a real hands on with the data thing. Most of them were either Ph.D. holders or were experienced in corporate world for a really long time.

Other: This course helps to reduce the gap between the education that we are pursuing and the corporate world.
