NMIMS Mumbai Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Vile Parle West

Placements: The quality of placements was increasing year by year. Nearly 60-70% of the students were placed and other 30-40% of students were going for further studies. The highest salary offered was about 13 LPA, lowest was about 3 LPA and the average was 6-7 LPA. Companies visited were top MNCs such as Barclays, Dell, Delloite, HP, etc. and many banks were also there. Roles offered were both management as well as technology. Internships were also provided to the students by the college.

Placements: 100% placement record. At least 6 top companies came for placements including Accenture, Zycus, L&T Infotech and Tech Mahindra. Packages varied from 3 LPA to 7 LPA. Positions offered were software engineer, HR, recruitment. Internship was compulsory at the end of the 3rd year. Minimal help was given for that.

Placements: The placements were very good as 100% placements are there in the college. The senior and the junior batches also had 100% placements here and the average salary offered for our senior batch was 14 LPA. The average salary offered for my batch was 15LPA. Overall, I would say that the placements of the students were pretty good.

Placements: Placements of 2015 batch were above average with a mean salary of Rs. 8 LPA. The highest package was offered by ICICI & CITI bank (Rs. 12 lakhs pa) which took in total 5 students. Roles were offered in fields of analytics, marketing (analyst, marketing manager, associate manager) and finance. Few big companies which visited were Infosys, Wipro, ICICI, CITI Bank, Manipal, TNS, LG etc. 100% people got internship and were placed by the college in final placements. Placements: They have decent placements and offers ranging from 3 to 18 LPA. Core companies for mechanical and civil are difficult to find. About 40 to 50% of the students got placed. Companies like TCS and L and T are the major recruiters.

NMIMS, has been a Key to my overall development. NMIMS, is almost 10 minutes away from the Railway Station. NMIMS uses leading technology like Projectors and Audio Visual Facility, Centralized AC in every Classroom. The College is in the UPG campus. NMIMS admission process is based on their own test called NPAT. They have qualified Ph.D.’s, CA's and CFA's as Faculty Members whereby providing the students with quality education. Classes at NMIMS, are based on case study methodology and are highly interactive in nature. Classes involve a high blend of case studies, presentations and formal lectures. Quizzes are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Students are not given any handouts as such but most of the teachers share their presentations with them which are either uploaded or sent via emails. Overall exposure is pretty good. Infrastructure wise it has left no stone unturned with best state of the art technologies. Some faculty members are really well trained and have a specialized understanding of the subject. The biggest disadvantage is that there is no provision for hostel from college side. NMIMS, as the name suggests is the Premium Institute in Mumbai for both Under graduate and Post-graduate courses. The college has a very good infrastructure for students, every year they improve on their labs and get new visiting faculty for teaching. The permanent faculty is very helpful but only a few of them are really interested in making you learn the subject. The integrated course is the best reason to opt for this college.
