CPGET Application Form 2025: Osmania University will tentatively release the CPGET 2025 application form in June 2025. Subsequently, CPGET is predicted to be conducted in July 2025. Once live, the link to the CPGET 2025 application will be provided on this page. To fill out the application form, students must ensure that they fulfil the CPGET eligibility criteria. The application form for CPGET includes mentioning personal details, educational details and uploading documents. Students are also required to pay the application fee while filling out the application form. Only successful applicants will be issued CPGET admit cards that are necessary to appear in the exam. For the year 2024, the CPGET application process started on May 18, 2024, and concluded on June 17, 2024. Osmania University also extends the last date of the application process. However, students have to pay a late fee along with the application fee to avail of this extension. 

Q:   When will CPGET 2025 application form release?

A:

CPGET 2025 registration form is likely to be released in June 2025. Aspirants will have to apply online on Osmania University's official website. While filling the form, they will be required to provide personal details, contact details and academic details. The application fee is also to be paid online after filling the form.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the CPGET exam?

A:

In order to be eligible for admission into a course, the candidate 

  1. Must have passed the Qualifying Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the subject (s) /course (s) concerned as mentioned in the Information Brochure, and
  2. Must have qualified in Common P G Entrance Test conducted in the concerned subject in which admission is sought.
    For administrative reasons, the Convenor may, conduct the entrance test before the publication of the results of the
    qualifying examination concerned. But qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer any right of admission into
    a course. In addition to being qualified at the Common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if
    he/she passes the qualifying examination before the commencement of admissions process and secure the prescribed
    minimum marks in the subject (s) / course (s) concerned. He / She must submit the necessary documents listed under
    item VII of these instructions at the time of counseling.

Q:   When is CPGET hall ticket released?

A:

The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions are released on CPGET official websites ahead of the entrance tests. The candidates are supposed to download the Hall Tickets and affix a the latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get itself attested. Without the Hall Ticket (with self attested photograph), the candidate are not allowed to appear for entrance test.

How to apply for CPGET 2025?

There are four steps to the CPGET application process - 

  • Registration
  • Fee payment
  • Uploading of documents
  • Filling out the application form

Stage 1: Registration

To apply for CPGET 2025, students must log in to the CPGET website. After logging in, students must click on the ‘apply online’ tab. Students must fill the registration form with correct information and not leave any field marked mandatory vacant. 

A candidate can apply for up to four subjects through one form but they will have to pay fees for each additional subject.

Stage 2: Payment of Registration Fee

A registration ID will be created and shared with the students upon successful registration. Using that login ID the students can pay the fee, upload relevant documents and fill out the application form. The students can submit the registration fee to any TS/ AP online centres or make online payments via credit cards/ debit cards or net banking. The category-wise CPGET application fee is mentioned below:

The students must check all the information before hitting the save/ submit key. Students are advised to not miss uploading the relevant documents in their specific fields. Incomplete forms will be rejected. A copy of the duly filled form must be saved for future reference.

  • Scanned passport-size photograph, no older than three months.
  • Scanned copy of the signature. 
  • Copy of cast certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of PH certificate (if applicable)

Q:   What is the admission process of CPGET?

A:

Admissions are conducted through a process of web based counseling. The schedule for certificate verification has been announced at the official website of the exam. Before allotment of admissions, the qualified and eligible candidates have to exercise options through web in the order of their preference. If the admitted candidates in each course should be found less than 10 after the second web options than that course will be cancelled for that academic year.

Q:   Can I get my CPGET admission fee reimbursed?

A:

The reimbursement of fee/scholarship is allowed only for those who pursue a PG Programme for the 1st time. For those who have already pursued any PG Courses (Professional or Non-Professional) will not be provided hostel accommodation in the University/College hostels and will not be considered for any type of scholarship whatsoever, as per GOs in force. As per Govt. of T.S. Social Welfare (Edn) Dpartment Memo the fee/scholarship reimbursement is not allowed to such candidates. Further, the maximum age for the candidates to become eligible for fee/scholarship reimbursement is as per the Government of Telangana rules in force.

Q:   When will CPGET exam be held?

A:

Osmania University has not annnounced the CPGET 2025 schedule yet. However, based on the past dates, it can be guessed that the exam will be conducted in the first two weeks of July 2025.

The reservation policy for SC, ST and BC candidates in CPGET exam are as follows: 
Of the total number of seats available in each subject/course, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories.

Checking the CPGET 2025 Application Fee Payment Status

Once applicants have filled the CPGET application form and paid the application fee, they can check the payment status online. Once the payment is done, students will receive a reference ID. The steps to check the payment status are mentioned below. 

  • Visit CPGET's official website.
  • Click on the ‘Check Application Fee Payment Status’ option.
  • Enter the ‘Qualifying Examination’ hall ticket number and mobile number.
  • The payment status will reflect beside the ‘Payment Reference ID’.

How to Edit CPGET Application Form 2025?

Once the last date to fill the CPGET application form has passed, the exam body will provide students with an application correction. Applicants can follow the steps provided below to edit their applications - 

Step 1. Visit the official website, cpget.tsche.ac.in.

Step 2. Click on the “CPGET Application Correction” link on the page.

Step 3. Enter login credentials.

Step 4. Click on the edit window and make changes.

Step 5. Go through the details once again. 

Step 6. Click on the “Submit” button.

Step 7. In the next step, download the confirmation page for future reference.

CPGET Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria (Arts)

For all the courses under the Faculty of Arts, the students must have secured the following percentage of marks or CGPA in their Qualifying Examination:

  • Students should have passed the Qualifying Examination with not less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • A pass in the Qualifying Examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.
  • The candidates passing the examination compartmentally and securing the required percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible.
  • All the courses have a duration of two years.

M.A. Arabic i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Arabic as one of the languages.

 ii) Any Graduate with a Diploma in Functional Arabic offered by NCPUL, New Delhi/ a Diploma in Arabic offered by Jamia Nizamia, Hyderabad.
or
iii) Must have studied the Arabic language in a Bachelor’s Degree, either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks.
M.A. English Any Graduate
M.A. Hindi i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the languages.
or
ii) Must have studied the Hindi language in a Bachelor’s Degree, either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks
M.A. Kannada i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Kannada as one of the languages.
or
ii) Must have studied the Kannada language in a Bachelor’s Degree, either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks. 
M.A. Marathi i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Marathi as one of the languages.
or
 ii) Must have studied the Marathi language in a Bachelor’s Degree, either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks..
or
 iii) Any Graduate who studied in Marathi medium in 10th or 12th standard.
or
 iv) Any Graduate who studied Marathi, Hindi & Sanskrit as a second language for a Bachelor’s Degree. 
M.A. Persian i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Persian/ Arabic/ Urdu as one of the languages.
or
ii) Must have studied the Persian/ Arabic/ Urdu language in a Bachelor’s Degree, either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks. 
M.A. Sanskrit i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the languages.
or
ii) Must have studied the Sanskrit language in a Bachelor’s Degree either in Part I or in Part II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks.

Candidates who are dumb, deaf or blind or stammer or physically handicapped are not eligible. Candidates qualified at the entrance test have to appear for an aptitude test. 



 

CPGET Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria (Social Science)

For all the Courses under the Faculty of Social Sciences, the students must have secured the following percentage of marks or CGPA in their Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates should have passed the Qualifying Examination with no less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  •  A pass in the Qualifying Examination is sufficient for SC/ ST candidates.
  • The candidates passing the examination compartmentally and securing the required percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible.
  • All the courses, except M.Li.Sc., are a year long.

CPGET 2025 Admit Card

Osmania University releases the CPGET admit card at least a week before exam dates. The CPGET 2025 admit card is expected to be released in July 2025. For CPGET 2024 it was released on July 3, 2024, 3 days prior to the commencement of the exam. The CPGET Admit Card or CPGET acknowledgement card download link is released on the official website of the exam. Once the CPGET Acknowledgement Card Download Link is released, registered candidates can download it by entering their login credentials - registration number and date of birth.

Q:   What is the registration fee payment process for CPGET?

A:

For registration, the candidates have to visit the websites Website. The registration is complete only when the candidates enter the required primary information including the number of entrance tests to be taken and the requisite registration fee is paid. The registration fee may be paid at any T.S./A.P. online centres or by using Credit / Debit Cards or by Net Banking. Once the registration is completed successfully, the candidate will receive a Registration ID, which should be preserved by the candidate for logging in to fill the online application and for future use, if any.

Q:   What is the reservation policy for women candidates in CPGET exam?

A:

Wherever applicable, a minimum of 33.33% of the available seats in each course will be allotted to women candidates from each category, i.e. Open, S.C., S.T. and in all the groups in BC category taking a subject in each college as a unit. This rule is not applicable (i) if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33.33 % or more of the seats therein; and (ii) for seats under various special categories. In the absence of suitable women candidates in the respective categories, these seats shall be filled in with men candidates of the same category.

A:

The reservation policy for local and non-local candidates in CPGET are as follows:
i) Admission to 85% of the available seats in every course shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area in respect of Telangana. subject to community and other reservations in force.
ii) The remaining 15% of the seats which are open to local and non -locals shall be filled up subject to similar reservation as applicable to 85% local candidates
