B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
4Placements2Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Everything about the College of Agricultural Engineering and PAU is positive.
Placements: Placements are really good here. If you have scored a good CGPA or even less, they will provide you placements if you don't want to continue your studies further. About 35 students get placed every year among 80 because others continue their studies in M.Tech.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really not good, but the mess food is awesome. Classes are good, but in summer they are exhausting because they don’t have AC in the classrooms. Otherwise, there is a problem of leakage in some classes. Some creativity is also shown in the classrooms as the infrastructure is unique.
Faculty: Exams are taken three times in a semester: hourly, mid, and final. The final exams are the toughest; the others are easy to pass. Teachers are good and helpful; they have a lot of experience, and their way of teaching is good. The seniors are also very helpful, and there is no ragging in the whole PAU.
Other: You will get a lot of opportunities here in every field. In whichever area you are good, you can participate very easily. It is a very open environment here, and every five students are provided with one advisor to help with any problems they may have.

BTech in Food technology at Punjab agricultural University Ludhiana.
Placements: Most of the students from our college get placements in their final year or even after that. The average package offered is about 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. Major companies like Nestle, Verka, and Amul recruit students from PAU for internship opportunities as well as job offers. The workplace quality of the internship and job is very good and promises a good salary as well.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are clean and well maintained. Most rooms on the premises are air-conditioned and well furnished. We are provided with a 24-hour library facility. We can study for the whole night as well in time of exams. The library is air conditioned as well. We have various departments for each subject for the practical knowledge about the particular subject. Our hostels are clean and fully furnished. We are provided a bed, an almirah, a study table and a chair. Washrooms are common on each floor. They are regularly cleaned and are in good condition.
Faculty: Our teachers are friendly, motivating, and very helpful in our studies. They regularly motivate us to study and remain focused in our college life. Most of our teachers are Msc. graduates or are Phd holders. Their method of teaching is very good and they make concepts easy to grasp. The exams are of moderate to hard level. Questions are of good quality and test students knowledge about the subject.
Other: We have regular events and various festivals at our college to help students engage in social activities.

PAU- one of the best state agriculture university.
Placements: Only 20% of the of the students placed in our batch had an average package of 3 lacs. The top recruiting companies include Bayer and Syngenta. But most of the students prefer Masters and government job preparation, as there are many jobs for agriculture graduates. Internships were available last year on campus as well as at companies like Crop Chemical.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The university has play grounds, library, cafe, hotel, etc. Hostels have wi-fi and the rooms are also clean. university has its own hospital, where treatment is free for students. Classrooms have projectors and lawns have all the required equipments.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified, having Ph.D. They are very cooperative with students. The method of teaching is also good. The course curriculum is completely relevant and makes the students ready to work in agriculture department. Semester exams are not very difficult to qualify for, and passing percentage is 55%.

B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
One of the best agriculture engineering colleges in India with really good placements.
Placements: 20–25 students out of 70 were placed and the rest of them wanted to go for further studies at IIT Kharagpur, a few wanted to do an MBA; and some of the students in our batch wanted to go to America on scholarships to do a Masters. The top recuring companies are John Deere, Mahindra, Tafe, and Amul .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is satisfactory and hostels are also okay, as all the hostels in government universities are same but mess is really good; non-vegetarians are served 3 days in mess and the average mess bill is around 4-5k per person if he eats regularly. Classrooms are not provided with ACs.
Faculty: Exams are a little bit difficult and 75% attendance is compulsory. And the minimum passing mark required is 50% for every exam. If we fail in any subject, then next year we have to pick that subject again. And there are certain restrictions on picking up the subjects again .
Other: In B.Tech. Agri., we study subjects like civil, mechanical, computer, farm power and machinery, post-harvest food engineering, and soil and water engineering. It is a really good degree for someone who has a keen interest in agriculture.

It is Asia's top-ranked university in the field of agriculture.
Placements: Students can write exams like horticulture development officer, agriculture development officer, and junior research fellowship. Our batchmates have become ADOs and HDOs with a salary of 1 LPM. Students can apply for assistant professors at PAU and get placed. Placement cell solves the queries of students. Students can become plant breeders, agronomists, fruit research scientists, floriculturists, and olerists. Many students got placed at Mcgill, Verka, Coca-Cola, Bonn, Markfed, Punjab Agro Juices, and Cremica.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are well-equipped with projectors, podiums, mikes, and water coolers. It has the best labs in India. PCR machines, water baths, refractometers, photometers, and many more are available in our college. Library has every book and students can access them. Free Wi-Fi is provided after filling out the Wi-Fi form. Hostels are in very good condition and the food served is very good as our college takes strict action against a healthy diet. Many canteens are available. They serve Maggi, shakes, chappati, curry, pizza, and pasta. Nescafe and LPM are my favorites. Hostel wardens are friendly. Students interested in physical activities can join hockey, badminton, cricket, swimming, cycling, gym, shooting, tennis, and basketball. There is a separate area for every sport. Students can join NSO which is related to sports. Our college has a special hospital for treating the PAU staff. Students can check their weight, take any medicine, and can get an X-ray. The environment of our college is pleasant.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified with Ph.D. They have a minimum of 15 years of experience. They are friendly and helpful. They help students with research papers and presentations. They clear doubts related to the subject. The semester system is friendly. Students have to write three exams such as internal for 20 marks, mid-term for 70 marks, final exams for 70 marks, and practical exams for 30 marks. Marks are allotted out of 10 CGPA. If students work hard, they can score well. Every student will be passed out.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in nature. Students learn many things in this course about tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate fruits and vegetables. It has broadened my knowledge about ornamental plants and forestry. I served as a national service scheme volunteer for two years and helped farmers and villagers with rural agricultural work experience. Many scholarships are provided to needy students. Students can work part-time and earn money for their education. They can participate in youth fest and Kisan mela which are the main events organised in our college every year. Students can take part in mimicry, mono-act play, bhangra, giddha, clay modeling, dance, and singing and can get certificates to enhance their CV. Students can take training in any other departments for 1 to 6 months to learn more. It is four years course. There are 52 students in our batch. All the seats are filled in the 1st counseling.

Good infrastructure , good mess food , good sports facilities, reasonable hostels
Placements: Placements are good and generally all students land a job in some company. Avg package is of 8 lakhs. The lowest salary paclage goes to 1- 2 lpa and it is not easy to land a job in this field . Everyone needs to land an internship on the basis of their own efforts and connections.
Infrastructure: Hostels are available at very reasonable rates and living conditions are pretty good to the hostel charges . The food in the mess/cafeteria is very good . All types of sports and games are avaliable and encouraged by the college. Wifi is not avilab and washrooms are ok mediocre cleanliness level.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and good but if you get on their bad side they won't let you catch a breath for your whole course. Exams are of moderate difficulty .If you study from the start and are upto date with your curiculumn you can do pretty good .
Other: Theor are many mela held throughout the tenure but not much of a fest or party culture.
