Placements: Roughly 70% of students from this course get placements. On-campus placements are very few, most students secure placements off-campus. M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2020
3
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good knowledge and course plan for economics.
Placements: The placement range for the university suggests that around 75-90% of the students get placements with an average placement of around 25K per month, where companies like GIS remote sensing, Urban Planning Commission, etc., come.
Infrastructure: The classroom is good enough, and it helps if someone comes to conduct a workshop or any presentation that has to take place. The infrastructure is quite supportive of that. There are basic materials that are available to the students, and others are in the library.
Faculty: The curriculum does not match the industry requirements; no updating is happening to make the students more employable. The college faculty members and course plan will help build the core knowledge in economics but not in getting a job. The faculty members are good.

B.A. (Hons.) in History - Batch of 2019

Rabindra Bharati University - History Department.
Placements: The intake capacity of this course was seventy. The fees were minimal, as per government university rates. Since this was not a technical or vocational course, there was no placement system. However, the professors were very cooperative and always motivated the students to prepare for NET, SET, and SLST exams.
Infrastructure: The hostel is near the University, and the electrical facilities are good. There are various classrooms, a library, and a common room. The hostel has two toilets, and the staff is very cooperative and helpful. Scholarship and train ticket concession facilities are also available.
Faculty: The professors were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, and besides lectures, the professors used demonstrations and projects to teach. The pass percentage was 100%. This course curriculum is relevant because a student can become a professor or teacher by studying history. In every government service exam, history plays a major role.
Other: The passing ratio was 100%. Almost 95% Students got first class.

M.A. in Geography - Batch of 2025
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is a great university to pursue an MA in geography in India.
Placements: I am a student at Rabindra Bharati University pursuing MA in Geography. I can state that over 80% of our students get placed with monthly salary offers ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs. 40,000. The average salary offered is about Rs. 28,000 per month. Businesses specialise in rural development commissions, urban planning, and GIS remote sensing regularly visit our campus. Every year, about 25 students land in internships with urban planning departments and GIS remote sensing firms, which significantly improves our research efforts. Physical geography, human geography, cartography, GIS, remote sensing, and environmental studies are just a few of the many topics covered in the geography course. In addition, we research sustainable development, disaster management, and urban and regional planning. Our curriculum strikes a balance between academic understanding and real-world application, guaranteeing that we are ready for it.
Infrastructure: Our department provides GIS software, large computer laboratories, smart classrooms, and free Wi-Fi. Although the canteen cuisine is mediocre and there isn't a designated cafeteria, the hostels are kept up nicely, have high hygiene, and provide wholesome meal alternatives. Sports like football, cricket, athletics, volleyball, badminton, basketball, archery, and handball can be played outside at our first-rate sports facilities. Students can use our multi-gymnasium and participate in indoor sports like gymnastics and carrom. Considering all the things, the infrastructure substantially improves our living and studying environment.
Faculty: I think our professors are very knowledgeable and helpful. A few have earned their PhDs overseas. In the classroom, renowned instructors like Subrata Mondal, Sharat Chandra Misra, and Amar Kumar Chatterjee contribute their knowledge and experience. To get us ready for the industry, the program is relevant and useful. Our tests, which are fair and easy to handle, are conducted every two semesters. The examiners' sympathetic nature and willingness to aid students are evident in the way they construct the question papers, which are not too difficult but rather intended to support our success. The learning experience is genuinely enhanced by this encouraging atmosphere and material that is pertinent to the business.

Placement is average but affordable.
Placements: The overall placement rate is around average, approximately fifty-five percent during our batch. Roles generally offered are in writing, teaching, and translation. Recruiters that visit include NGOs, educational institutions, government agencies, and a few media houses.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well-maintained, providing all basic living facilities. There is a mess where students eat, and limited medical help is available, with arrangements made for emergencies at nearby hospitals. Sports facilities are present at the university, and the classrooms are good.
Faculty: The curriculum is generally designed to cover Sanskrit language, literature, grammar, and some aspects of philosophy. There are a few elective choices given to students. The teachers are good, and the exam passing rate is around seventy percent.
