Placements: As far as the placements are concerned, a majority of students were unplaced from my batch. Maximum students who got placements were from computer science or electrical and electronics branches while the rest 8-9 branches were vacant in case of placements. No core company visited our campus for placements and TCS even blacklisted our college. Companies like Infosys, IBM, Accenture and CTS never visited our college.

Placements: It has great placements. The first batch is not combined with seniors. Seniors are also very good. When you are about to complete your studies, many companies come and offer you a job according to your marks percentage, interview, attitude, etc. They also provide good salaries to students who are interested.

Placements: The placements of our senior batch were pretty good and almost certain for people who got a minimum of 7.5 CGPA. People got placed in Dell, Bosch, TCS, Sony Ericsson, etc. Overall, the placements were good with decent packages offered by the company.

Placements: Placements are good. A lot of good companies visited the campus like TCS, Ericsson and Wipro. Companies like TCS take students in bulk. But since it is an IT company, the roles it offers are more relevant to IT students. On an average, 70-80% students are able to bag a job from campus placements. The average package is around 3.5 - 4 LPA.

Placements: The placement is pretty decent. Almost 70-75% of students get placed on the campus. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Ericsson etc visited the campus. The placements opportunities are better for IT and CS students. I got placed in TCS as an Assistant System Engineer. Roles are mostly IT-based and the average package is 3.5 LPA.

Placements: Here only IT companies visit for campus selection. Top most MNCs like Dell, TCS, etc. recruit the students. There are no core companies for mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.

Placements: Various companies like Dell, Wells Fargo, Sprinklr, Intel, Wipro, Just Dial, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Byju's Think and Learn, Amazon, etc. come here for recruitment from different fields. The average package is 3.5 lpa. Lowest is 2.8 lpa. Maximum package offered is 12 lpa. Last year's placement percentage is 97%.

Placements: For mechanical, placements is a bit of a worry here. Only 20-30% of the eligible candidates got a job. Last year only 30 students of 105 eligible candidates got a job, of which very few got the opportunity to join the core sectors. Companies like Tata Cumming, Daikin TCS, Cognizant etc. mainly recruit the students.

Placements: The placements were quite good for the senior batches but it has been on a constant decline in the past few years and for my batch, it wasn't up to the expectations. Around 30% students were placed during the current year. The average salary is around 3.3 lakhs per annum.

Placements: Quite good placements are offered. Companies like Bosch, Wells Fargo, Ericsson, Wipro, etc. visited for campus recruitment. The highest package went up to 7L per annum. The lowest would be around 3.8L per annum. Senior batch placements were quite pleasing despite the recession. Almost 75% students were placed, those with no backlogs or disciplinary action cases.

Placements: The institute has a geographical disadvantage in terms of placement drives. Lack of train routes or airstrips in Sikkim proves out to be a disadvantageous affair for the companies to come in for placements. However, there are companies like Wipro, Ericsson, and others which drop in and offer jobs to 30% of the total eligible strength. The packages are moderate and for this, the training and placement cell is to be blamed which does not make proper efforts and provide funds for the arrangements....

Placements: In regards to placement in SMIT (Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology), many companies visit SMIT every year and this count is continuously increasing in the successive years. Major placed students are from the ECE and CSE departments (approx 98% placement from these two branches). The highest package offered to a student in this college is 8 LPA by Dell and the average package offered is about 3.8 lakh. Below are the names of some companies that visit SMIT for placements. Placements: The placement of CSE is good in our college. The major companies of recruitment are IXIA, HP, TCS, DELL, and many more. The highest salary was 12 LPA and the lowest came down to 3.5 LPA. The college helped in offering many internships to the students in various companies according to the field of their interest for better job life ahead.

Placements: The placement of my batch was very poor as only 10-12 students out of 120 students got placed, which was in IT companies, whose salaries were around less than 3.2 lakhs per annum. This situation was not only my batch but every batch of the mechanical department. The highest salary was 3.2 lakhs and the lowest was 2.4 lakhs per annum. Placements: The placements of SMIT is fantastic. Most renowned companies like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, etc. come to pick up the talented candidates. Nearly 80% of the students got placed in 2015. But if one wants to sit for the placements then about 60% overall is needed with no backlogs. Developers, testers, software engineers are some of the honorable roles which are offered to BCA students. If one wants good placements, I recommend to my friends to go to SMIT. ...

Placements: The placement rate was approximately 80% for my batch. The CTC ranged from 3.05 to 8 LPA with 3 lakhs on an average. Companies like Cape Gemini, Tech Mahindra, Ericcson, Think & Learn, Dell, Wipro, Wells Fargo etc. visited the campus providing the roles of an associate software engineer, system engineer etc. Also, companies like Ixia, Wipro, Dell, Ericcson provided internships with a stipend ranging from 10k to 15k INR.

Placements: There aren't any guaranteed placements provided by the college. And since it is distance university course, some companies do not find it worth value. Although, one can get jobs on the basis of degree. Sometimes the college does provide some assistance for jobs.

Placements: Placements for computer science, IT and electronics are good. Almost all the students of these branches got placed. Placements for core branches like mechanical and civil aren't that good. Most of the students are offered with IT jobs. A few of them got placed in core companies.

Companies like Dell came to our college, and the roles of Software Engineer, Associate Software Developer and Embedded Engineer were offered. The highest package that was offered was 8 lakhs by Dell, the lowest package was 3.5 lakhs and the average package was up to 4.5 lakhs.

Placements: Sikkim Manipal despite being in a very remote location, has a good placement record with industry leaders such as Dell, Wells Fargo, Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, Capgemini, Think & Learn, Wipro being the top recruiters on-campus and companies like Zomato, Amazon, Thoughtworks and Zoojoo recruiting through the pool-campus with an average package of 4 LPA. Dell was the highest paying company with 8 LPA during the training period.
