Work hard and smart for four years and enjoy for 40 years.

Placements: The college took time to gain name and fame by its good faculty members, strict curriculum, good performance, and more than 90% placement by mass recruiters. But suddenly in 2k17, it came into controversy and news for fake campus recruitment. But now everything is going right after all the faculty members and management are putting effort for better conditions and also there is an improvement in the quality of education because now they are focusing more on practical knowledge, which is most imp...

The infrastructure is nice. The faculty are good, but I am dissatisfied with the placement cell.

Placements: The placement for our batch was not much good as very less good companies came and took very few students. Many students got placed but not in the core. Delliote, Infosys, Wipro, Appeal Groups, Byju's, MindTree and more companies came to the college. The highest package offered was 14 lakhs per annum. The lowest package was 1.6 lakhs per annum. There is a placement cell. According to me, I don't like my college placement cell. They are not at all friendly, and they have ego very much.

Absolutely great about my college life.

Placements: After the 4th year, B.Tech placements are necessary. But, in SOA University that image is different for different departments. As for the CS and IT, we get the job easily. But, for the core branch, it is hard to get a job in the core companies as they do not come to our campus. And if they come, they hired a very few students, which is not even 20% of our batch.

The college has a very good infrastructure, faculty are well qualified for teaching the students.

Placements: Many companies have visited the college for recruitment, but the company are recruiting very less number of students, and a maximum of IT companies is visiting the college. Till now 40% to 50% students of the college have been selected. The college has a very well organised placement cell for the students.

There is a scope for extracurricular activities and humble guidance from faculty.

Placements: The placements are not up to the expectations of a student. In 2017, the case of fraud placements was probed and be assured that nothing of that sort will happen ever again. My seniors got placed, but the annual salaries are not very good, so I suggest going for other competitive exams like GRE and TOEFL.

It is good enough for a student.

Placements: The placement is good, but the education patterns are not. And also, some teachers are not up to the quality. But the placement is nice. Good companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc., are coming to the college and selecting many students. I think this problem should be fixed in the coming years. I am studying in 2nd year. So, I am looking forward for the new coming companies in which I can prove myself.

Good infrastructure, mediocre curriculum. Come to enjoy the graduation life.

Placements: The placements are quite good. Nearly 80-85 students got placed. The companies like TCS, Infosys, L&T, Syntel, Mindtree etc. have come to the college for campus placements. The authorities try hard for maximum placements. The package is around 5-7 lacs per annum, which is quite good for a fresher.

The details of the Institute of Technical Education and Research.

Placements: The average package received by the students is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annum. CSE, CSIT and ECE students are getting good placement every year. Last year, 1 CSE student got selected by Adobe with 20 LPA package. This year, Amazon selected 5 students with 2 of them getting 20 LPA, and Adobe selected 2 students with 24 LPA. The internship opportunities are given to all the students. In core branches, placement is an issue in our college. SOA is the 20th best university in India.

There are mixed feelings after passing out of the college, only I can say is it is a good college.

Placements: The placements were good for our senior batch, but not good enough or up to the mark for our batch. A lot is promised while joining but in reality, it is not what was promised to us, but a very less percentage of my friends are placed in good companies, rest are either unplaced or placed off-campus.

It is the best university in the state of Orissa in my opinion.

Placements: The placement is quite good in our university comparing to any other government or Pvt. engineering college. More than 80 companies came to our college for hiring the students from our college, and the placements are still going on. Till now, about 400 students among the 700 qualified students have got their placements in many reputed companies like Dell, Infosys, Zycus, Capgemini, Texas instruments, etc.

The faculty is good and the placement is great. If you are good in your field you will get good job.

Placements: The placement for my batch is great. The highest salary paid is Rs. 21 lacs per annum and the average package offered is Rs. 6 lacs per annum to Rs. 7 lacs per annum. 70 to 80 companies have visited the college this year, and almost everyone gets a job. If you are getting 8 CGPA, then you will get a good job. And, if you are good in your field then you can easily get a job.

Good academics but co-curricular activities need improvement.

Placements: The placement is average. Most of the companies that visit the college are of the IT-category. Core companies are scarce. Ample amount of preparation is given to the students before the placement in terms of aptitude classes and online tests like Amcat, CoCubes, etc.

Academics is a thumbs-up, rest all needs improvement

Placements: Average placements. Mostly IT companies visit the campus. Core companies which visit the campus offer salaries which are below expectations. The average salary package offered by companies is around 3.5 LPA though some companies offer 6+ LPA. College gives training before the placement season in terms of online tests like AMCAT and Cocubes free of cost.

Placements: Placements of the batch 2013 were good. 90% of students were placed. The average package was 3.5 lacs per anum and the highest package was 7.5 lacs per anum. The companies which visited the campus were Mahindra & Mahindra, TCS and Infosys. For software companies, students were offered the role of software developer or tester.

Somewhat satisfied with the college.

Placements: Placements are good for CS students but less to nil for core branch students like mechanical, civil etc. All the companies ask for at least 6.5 aggregate. Most of the companies hire us as a mass so the package is low and the call letter comes very late as said by our seniors. 70 to 80 percent student gets placed but the average package comes around 2.3 lakhs. The main recruiters are Wipro, TCS, etc. Some startups also visit like Aptus but they hire very few students. ...

Good college for a bright future.

Placements: Placements are very positive in our batch. TCS has hired more than 700 students as ASE. Also, many more companies like Rightwave, Amazon, FCS etc visited and offered a salary up to 12 lakhs. There will be almost more than 90% placement. Our senior batch also had a similar type of placement.

Placements: The placements went well, as I enquired the same from my seniors. Everyone seems to be happy. Around 80% of the students were placed this year. The highest package was around 7 lakhs and the lowest was 3.5 lakhs. Many companies like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Deloitte etc. visited this year. 95% of the students go an internship. The highest stipend was around Rs. 20,000 and lowest was Rs. 3500.

The college is good with new infrastructure. I did my B.Tech in EC. The faculty and the placements are average. The surroundings are neat and clean. There are many eateries like coke stall present in the campus. The campus has large number of hostels which can accommodate 3000 students. The food served is hygienic. It has Wi-Fi connectivity around the campus. The college has number of busses for city. The college offers a good deal for money and can be recommended to friends and relatives.

The roads are unmaintained and get worse during monsoon. The college is subjected to students’ unrest and in disciplinary hooliganism quite frequently (everyday).
