Great infrastructure and other facilities with no placements.

Placements: There is no placements committee. No support from the college and the course coordinator with respect to placements. Each and every student tried themselves from outside for placements. There is no internship period during the entire course of three years. Apart from all this, one best thing was that we students were given opportunities to go to various corporate events which helped us in networking and finally for placements through networking and personal contacts. ...

Average faculty, good facilities and a nice campus.

Placements: Placements in KJSCE are decent, fairly good. Won't say they are too good or too bad. More than 75% students get placed every year, on the basis of past few years knowledge. It is not that the other entire 25 % do not get placed, but among then, some pursue higher education or business. Highest pay package: INR 12 LPA, one student. Average pay package: INR 3.5 LPA Minimum pay package: INR 2.5 LPA The significant recruiters are Infosys (mass recruiter), JP Morgan (10-15 students), Google/Microsof...

Best Investment, totally worth, lush green campus, economic, best ROI in industry.

Placements: Final placements were really good. The highest package was offered by Google of Rs. 24 LPA and the average package was INR 9.60 LPA. Total of 200+ companies visited our campus. Various roles were offered to the students. 99.6% of the students got final placement, rest opted for entrepreneurship. For summer placements, the highest stipend was offered for INR 1.2 Lacs. Again 99% people are placed in the summer internship and rest opted to select it on their own. ...

A prestigious autonomous institution.

Placements: The placement percentage is actually high for both the computer branches i.e. Computer Engineering & IT as well as for EXTC whereas not that high for branches like Electronics and Mechanical as most of the students from these go for post-graduation. The placement season this year have seen companies ranging from Microsoft to Godrej. There are also a couple of mass recruiting companies like Accenture & Infosys. The mechanical branch saw a less number of companies whereas the telecommunications br...

Good placement and a huge campus.

Placements: I think placement is the plus point of KJSCE. I got one company, and almost 90% student(without KT) got placed in the companies. Around 20 to 40 companies visited, and mostly, computer and IT students got their dream company. Still, many companies are coming. At the end of February, the non-criteria companies also visited the Somaiya campus.

Somaiya is the best college with an enormous campus which is very happening.

Placements: Various placement cells come throughout the year. There are many opportunities one can grab. The jobs offered were made most for the finance and marketing field. You need to be best to get selected as the percentage is low of selection. You need to perform well in GD.

It is a good college to pursue an MBA in Mumbai.

Placements: The college holds a record of 100% placements. Placements are awesome for marketing/sales domain. Many companies which visit for summers offer a pre-placement offer. There are many opportunities for a live project, and thanks to the prime location of the college, Mumbai. The average salary package offered is 9 LPA. There is a variety of profiles offered by the companies. The profiles offered are worth looking up. The average salary package offered in our course is 9 LPA.

Good for placements but curriculum needs to be updated.

Placements: Placements were good for IT branch. Around 75% students were placed. The highest package was 9 LPA and the lowest was around 2.5 LPA. Roles were mainly as software developer or systems engineer. No internships were given through the college. Infosys, TCS, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, etc. were some of the companies.

Placements: Our placement was similar to that of the senior batch. Almost 70% of the students were placed. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, JP Morgan, Amdocs, Convonix and many others had visited the campus. A fun place to enjoy 4 years of your life and a definite job offer at the end!

Placements: Placements for the senior batch were comparable to ours. By the end of the course, nearly 100% of the students were placed. The highest offer was from Morgan Stanley while there were a few startups at the lower end. There were no internships from the college during our time.

This is a mediocre college, and you can do better here.

Placements: Decent brands visit the campus for the placements. The problem is with the process, which is not fair. The placement team is comprising of the students having an upper hand in a process. If I talk about packages, they are decent and ranges from 5 LPA to 26 LPA. However, I would suggest the students aiming for MBA to first look for a profile, and if you are not happy with your work, even in a 50 LPA job, you'll be frustrated.

Good placements in the IT and CSE sectors.

Placements: When talking about the placements, I would say the college has a potential of roping in big MNCs as it has happened this year around when Microsoft visited the campus, but for the core students, I would recommend you guys to work really hard to get through the placements. Fewer core companies visit the campus but one thing is for sure that each and every student will get a job at the end of the placement procedure.

Somaiya- Be proud to be called a student of this college.

Placements: Placements were always good at KJ Somaiya, Vidyavihar. The placement cell head has contacts with MNCs, startups and other companies of all domains of engineering. Also, teaching institutes had come for placements at last for hiring. Maximum placement is for IT. In 2015, Morgan Stanley gave the highest package of Rs. 16 lakhs to students. (2 students were selected). Then other companies came like Barclays which offered Rs. 7.2 LPA, Diebold (6 LPA), Indus Valley Partners(6 LPA), Seclore (5.2 LPA)...

It is one of the top colleges of Mumbai but not in league with SP Jain or JBIMS though. The course structure is good with the trimester system. Visiting faculty from the industry coming to the college is generally better. Campus is amazing. Somaiya Wi-Fi is available for all the students.

Infrastructure of the college is good and faculty is average. It is nearby to Vidyavihar railway station. College has world class facility for athletics and football. It boasts of a sprawling campus which is lush green. Canteen is pretty cheap and flooded with students. Labs are well equipped and students get ample opportunities in extra- curricular activities. The bonus is that it has a very good placement cell and placements are decent enough.

An excellent college for engineering with one of the finest campuses in Mumbai. The faculty is cooperative and all of them boost for innovations. With teams like Orion Racing India, Red Shift Baja Racing, Team Onyx for aeromodelling, Robocon etc. students can get live experiences of working in team for projects. The placements are good and the college has a good reputation in the industry. The library is quite well equipped with variety of books and a large reading hall.

SIMSR gave me right amount of balance between curriculum and corporate exposure. Overall, it is a great college and provides value for the money you invest.
