Horrible placement, great campus. Go, decide!

Placements: Honestly, no company visited our department during my final year. I, along with other classmates from my department, sat for two interviews that had nothing to do with my department, as there was no specific criteria. All the responsibility for placement is given to the students. The teachers should try to invite companies instead of relying on students. One company, CG foods, hired a few people, but the pay was only Rs. 11000 per month, and the work was exhausting. Not suitable for an educated ...

Good infrastructure and cooperative faculty.

Placements: The placements were fine of our batch. It was really good for Computer science and Electronic engineering. It was fine for mechanical and other branches. Companies like Tech Mahindra and Dalmia cements came for the placements for mechanical branch. The package was around 3 lakhs per annum.

Elegant infrastructure with strict rules.

Placements: Placement is still a concealed occasion for the Department of Food Engineering and Technology. During my tenure as a student, an approximate of 20 percent B.Tech graduates were placed. The recruiting companies are under-deserving. Coming to remuneration. It is like they compensate the students unfairly. Internships and stipend are two sides of a river which can never meet. The students have to spend a lot of money which burns a hole in one's pocket.

Great infrastructure and faculty, but the course is not that good.

Placements: The placements are very low, and the MSc degree holders almost never get placed anyway. Most of the students opt for PhD which is the subject of another review. The campus placement drives for School of Sciences is discouraged by the current VC here. 80-90% students get good internships in the top institutes of India and abroad mostly due to the connections of our extremely helpful professors. I have heard that some get stipends as high as INR 30000 and at least 5000-10000, but I do not have en...

It is a good college but needs its T&P cell to be more active about placements and rules and regulations need to be more liberal for the students. Faculty recruitment in the college should not be only based on his or her qualification, but more importantly on his or her teaching and communication skills.

Received visitor’s best university award in 2016 and will be conferred soon. Tezpur University has a good infrastructure in a campus full of green. Although placement scenario for B. Tech was not good in my time it's improving now. The academics here are worth praise. MBBT Dept. of Tezpur University is one of the best in the country. It's a growing university in the field of academics, research and extracurricular and one should opt if got a chance to pursue different courses here. B. Tech, MSc,...

It is one of the most beautiful university in India. It has the amazing crowd and campus life. Though when I studied the placement was average but now its placements are good in B-TECH. Most of the faculties are good. Has good campus facilities, has free Wi-Fi in each of the hostel room.

Great campus with some great facilities. Got my best life experience. The college schedule is very different than with other college’s schedule. Typically, there is a lot more flexibility with our college classes. It gives you more opportunities to explore your interest and passion.

The teachers are supportive in nature.

Placements: The college has a dedicated department for student placements, assisting them throughout the placement process. Additionally, internships with a minimum stipend of Rs 10,000 per month are provided. The highest package offered by companies is around 7 LPA.

I recommend joining this college for students who want to do higher studies.

Placements: Only a few companies visit our college and provide jobs for core departments. You have to put effort to get jobs. Only 3 out of 60-70 students got placed on campus. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are NRL and L&T. The placement scenario for core departments is very poor.

Top recruiters are TCS, ITC, Wipro, etc. Jobs are provided in various industries such as automotive, telecommunication and IT, mobile communication, etc. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA to 40 LPA and the average salary package is 8 LPA to 18 LPA.

Good university with otherwise bad placements.

Placements: The placements are very poor, especially for the M.Tech courses. Although a few companies come for placements in CSE, other departments are not having sufficient placements. During my time or stay in the M reach course there was no placement in my department. Not a single company came for placements.

If you are not interested in campus job, do some course in addition to ECE.

Placements: Only IT companies come here. Based on electronic companies are very rare. Average package is 3.6 lac. The students do internship under IIT Guwahati, NIT Silchar, and other IIT and NITs too and also innternsala, My captain workshop, and in many more websites.

Review about Tezpur University.

Placements: Mechanical engineering is a professional programme which helps students to understand the working mechanism of heavy tools and machinery. A course mechanical engineering makes students gain knowledge and experience in the designing of electric motors, automobile, aircraft and other heavy vehicles. We have 70 students in our class, and everyone gets offered from different companies. Some boys accepted the internship proposal for the salary of Rs. 18,000 per month in the Honda company.
