Tezpur University conducts Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE) for admission to various courses. The exam is generally conducted in the month of May, and classes begin in July. Admission based on online University Entrance Examination is granted to the following courses:

MTech applicants holding a valid GATE score do not need to appear for the entrance examination. 

Candidates applying to BTech courses will be granted admission on the basis of their performance in JEE (Main)

Candidates applying to MBA need to have valid CAT/MAT/ XATATMA/GMAT/CMAT scores.

Candidates need to check the eligibility before applying. Applications that do not comply by the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials.

Information Technology

BE / BTech degree in any discipline or MCA or its equivalent or MSc in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Electronics Design and Technology

BE/BTech/AMIE/AMIETE in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering or MSc in Electronics/Instrumentation/Physics (Electronics as specialization)/ AMIETE with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Bioelectronics

BE/BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering/Neuro Engineering/ Genetic Engineering/ Biotechnology or MSc in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry /Chemistry/Polymer Science/Physics/ Electronics/ Nano Science and Technology/ Instrumentation or MBBS with at least 50% marks in aggregate

Energy Technology

BE/ BTech / AMIE in Mechanical /Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Chemical /Agricultural Engineering / Energy Engineering or MSc in Physics/ Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Food Engineering and Technology

i) BE /BTech degree in Food Engg/ Food Process Engg/ Food Technology/ Agricultural Engg/ Mechanical Engg/ Chemical Engg/ Biotechnology or related fields with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. (The BTech/ BE programme completed by the candidate should satisfy the AICTE requirements). ii) 2 years MSc in Food Technology/Food Processing Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (50% in Mathematics in 10+2 level is compulsory. However, it is exempted if the candidate has passed mathematics in programme(s) prescribed as qualification.)

Mechanical Engineering

BE/BTech or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Metallurgy, Civil, or in any other relevant Engineering discipline

The seats in MTech will be filled based on TUEE 2017 merit list only after accommodating candidates with valid GATE score. To claim admission through GATE scores, the University will use the following criteria: 

i) For GATE holder with food technology as one of the optional subjects: 100% weightage for GATE Score

ii) For GATE holder without food technology as one of the optional subject: GATE Score (70% weightage) + TUEE marks (30% weightage)

MTech Polymer Science and Technology

Candidates willing to apply to MTech Polymer Science and Technology must fill in the application form only after going through the eligibility criteria. The candidate should have cleared BTech/BE in Polymer Science and Technology/ Fiber Science and Technology/ Textile Technology/ Plastic Technology/ Chemical Engineering; Master of Science in any discipline from a recognized Institutions with 50% marks or equivalent grade or having Chemistry as one of the subject in the Bachelor Degree.

 

Step 1: Fill in the Application form

Aspirants willing to appear for TUEE 2019 need to fill the application form, and submit the same before the deadline. The application fee for candidates belonging to General category is Rs 700 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories is Rs 350. The application fee can be paid online using credit card/debit card/net-banking. 

Step 2: Download TUEE 2019 Admit Card

Admit cards will be allotted only to those candidates who register successfully for the exam. The hall ticket will be made available online and test-takers can download the same from the official website of Tezpur University. 

Step 3: Appear for TUEE 2019

TUEE 2019 will be conducted for 2 hours and candidates will be required to answer multiple choice questions. Questions will differ according to the subjects. The number of questions will also differ according to the subjects. Candidates are advised to answer the questions carefully, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

While filling the application form, candidates can select 3 preferred exam centres. However, the final allotment of exam centre will be done by the University. Candidates can check their allotted exam centre on the admit card. It must be noted that the University has the right to change the exam centre according to availability of seats.

Candidates must make sure that they reach their respective exam centres at least an hour before the reporting time. Candidates who are new to the place are advised to visit the venue at least a day before the day of examination. 

Aspirants must make sure that they carry their admit cards to the exam hall. Candidates found without the same will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
