What is TUEE?

The Tezpur University conducts Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE) for admission to various courses. The TUEE 2021 is conducted in offline mode which is pen and paper test. The duration of the entrance exam is 90 minutes and the total marks of the exam is 100. Through the Tezpur University Entrance Exam (TUEE), candidates can get admission to various programmes and courses which are offered at the varsity. Candidates are required to first meet the eligibility criteria set by Tezpur University before applying for admission. The official dates of TUEE 2021 will be announced soon.

TUEE Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to check the eligibility before applying. Applications that do not comply by the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials.

Specialisation	Eligibility Criteria
Environmental Science	BSc in Physical/Biological/ Earth and Environmental Sciences as major/ honours with minimum of 50% marks. Candidates not having major/honours must have at least 55% marks in aggregate. Or, BSc (Agriculture) with at least 6.0 CGPA in 10 point scale or equivalent. Or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Medicine with 55% marks or equivalent grade points
Chemistry	Bachelor’s degree with major/ honours in Chemistry subject with a minimum of 45% marks and having Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects
Mathematics	Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks in major/honours, either Mathematics or Statistics. Candidates with Statistics major/honours must have Mathematics as subsidiary course with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates not having major/honours must have 50% marks in aggregate as well as in Mathematics
Physics	BSc with minimum of 50% marks in major/honours in Physics having Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects. Candidate not having major/honours must have 55% marks in aggregate and in Physics
Molecular Biology and Biotechnology	Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/ Technology, four years BS programme (Physician Assistant course) or Medicine, MBBS or BDS with a minimum 55% marks in major/honours or aggregate. Those who have passed the qualifying examination before 2 years from the date of announcement of admission are not eligible
Nanoscience and Technology	(i) Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in Physics as major/honours subjects and Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as allied subjects Or, (ii) Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in Chemistry as major/honours subject with Physics, Biology/ Mathematics as allied subjects or, (iii) Bachelor’s with 50% marks in Biology as major/honours subject with Physics, Chemistry/ Mathematics as allied subjects. Candidates having no major/honours must have minimum 55% marks in aggregate

The official dates for TUEE 2021 have not yet been released, however, candidates can go through the following tentative dates as mentioned below.

TUEE Admission Process

Candidates need to go through the following admission process for TUEE.

Step 1: Fill in the Application form

Aspirants willing to appear for TUEE 2021 need to fill the application form and submit the same before the deadline. The application fee for candidates belonging to General category is Rs 700 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories are Rs 350. The application fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net-banking.

Step 2: Download TUEE 2021 Admit Card

Admit cards will be allotted only to those candidates who register successfully for the exam. The hall ticket will be made available online and test-takers can download the same from the official website of Tezpur University.

Step 3: Appear for TUEE 2021

TUEE 2021 will be conducted for 2 hours and candidates will be required to answer multiple-choice questions. Questions will differ according to the subjects. The number of questions will also differ according to the subjects. Candidates are advised to answer the questions carefully, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

Step 4: Results:

The TUEE 2021 Results will be declared online on the official website of Tezpur University. A merit list will be released and candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores and ranks secured.

Step 5: Counselling

Qualified candidates will be invited to the university to appear fo the counselling session. Students will have to carry their documents as required and will have to complete the counselling process on the scheduled date and time.

MTech applicants holding a valid GATE score do not need to appear for the entrance examination.

Candidates applying to BTech courses will be granted admission on the basis of their performance in JEE (Main).

Candidates applying to MBA need to have valid CAT/MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/GMAT/CMAT scores.

TUEE Exam Centres

While filling the application form, candidates can select 3 preferred exam centres. However, the final allotment of exam centre will be done by the University. Candidates can check their allotted exam centre on the admit card. It must be noted that the University has the right to change the exam centre according to the availability of seats.

Candidates must make sure that they reach their respective exam centres at least an hour before the reporting time. Candidates who are new to the place are advised to visit the venue at least a day before the day of examination.

Aspirants must make sure that they carry their admit cards to the exam hall. Candidates found without the same will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
