Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) - Batch of 2025
Offered by Madurai Medical College, College of Pharmacy

My experience in this college.
Placements: The college name is well known so it is also proud to be a MMC student. There will be special care in the government hospital for students. Students have to learn on their own for the jobs. Sometimes Pharmafabrikon visits our college to hire students for placements.
Infrastructure: It consists of four major labs pharmaceutics, chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmacology. Other labs are situated in the respective departments. A hostel is also provided. Volleyball and basketball courts are also available. Students can even play badminton in the indoor stadium.
Faculty: Exams are conducted every six months. Classes are mainly based on practical knowledge so they make students well when they are out of the course. The teaching methods are good but it depends on students to understand the subjects. Teachers are also very skillful and knowledgeable. They are eager to help students.
Other: I chose it because it is better than the other allied health science courses. Independence is the main key for this field.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) - Batch of 2025
Offered by Thanthai Roever College of Pharmacy

A good college to consider.
Placements: For my course, there are no placements as we are the first batch in my college. For B. Pharma, there are companies like Apollo, Omega, and Raman, and Raman comes to recruit students for their companies. For my course, there is a compulsory one-year internship that is arranged by our college in the nearby government hospital.
Infrastructure: There are good laboratory facilities available to ensure our practical knowledge. Also, there are computer lab facilities with a proper internet connection to browse. Classrooms were quite comfortable, and there is a facility for PowerPoint presentations. The hostel was good and nice. The food was average. Sports are available in which we can participate based on our interests.
Faculty: The teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable. Also friendly in manner. Teaching skills were good to understand, as were the lab practices. This course is demanding and has a lot of opportunities abroad and few in India. It is a job-ready course. Examinations were quite easy that we can have one university exam per year and three internal exams thrice a month. Pass percentage was 50%.
Other: The reason I chose this course is that it was a demanding one right now. And also, the course was deepened in medicine. So we can easily understand the diseases and related conditions. Improvement in this course is the internship. For all the students, there is a compulsory one-year internship in the hospital. It should be made to get an internship in the students' preferred field.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma.) - Batch of 2024
Offered by PCPS - Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The faculty are not good. But this course has emerging opportunity in many companies.
Placements: There is training and placement team which offers placement for Diploma in pharmacy and offers industrial visit in pharmaceutical companies. They are conducting programmes which offer a study abroad and complete information are given. Training and placement team guide you for the job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is better. There is specialized library and laboratory. The facilities in college is normal and quality of food is not as much good and canteen too. Sports events are conducted inter college sports meet etc. There is no Wi-Fi facility in this college.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified enough and they helps to prepare for university examination. Students have to obtain more knowledge by themselves. The teaching quality is normal. This course is not as much easy and semester exams pass percentage is 50percent. The pass percentage can be obtained easily.
Other: B.Pharma is the leading course which have better opportunity in future as we know to formulate and check the quality of the medicine which is the essential work in pharmaceutical companies. But updating our knowledge towards this course is essential.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2028
Offered by Tirunelveli Medical College

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Overview of Tirunelveli Medical College.
Placements: Almost 90 percent will get their jobs as medical officers in primary health care centers and area hospitals, and in private hospitals they will get their jobs as duty doctors, hospital managers, and also some will seek their own private practice. It differs based on their decision for future management; some will go for PG preparation and some will find jobs that range from 30,000 Rs to 80000 Rs. Top private hospitals and rural public health departments are recruiting. All the MBBS students, almost 100 percent, will get their internship, which is mandatory too.
Infrastructure: * Well-infrastructured and air-conditioned lecture halls. * Air-conditioned examination centre. * Well-facilitated laboratory facilities. * Typical well-new building with proper ventilation and water facilities. * Hostel food is outstanding with good taste. * Emergency medical facilities are available. * Sports and games are arranged for the student's physical and mental relations.
Faculty: * Lectures are doctors too, so they are well talented with in-depth subject knowledge. They teach all clinically relevant cases with personally experienced scenarios. * Completely relevant CBME curriculum. * It is easy to moderate in difficult for passing exams, but a proper subject will make you pass in exams.
Other: * MBBS is a top-notch medical course amongst all other medicine-related courses. * It will teach you health facilities in all manners, like community-based knowledge and individual & social knowledge. * Things to improve with my course are that priority should be given to more practical when compared to theory. * Ecstasy, Tamponade, and department-wise individual cultural events are being held every year. * Green campus available for us with sports activities; well-versed large ground available for sports activities.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2022
Offered by KSR Educational Institutions
4.6

Absolutely disappointed with the placement during my batch 2022.
Placements: Many of us are placed, but only a few are being called by the company. The remaining are not even called by the selected company. The top LPA placed is 7 LPA and around 70 to 80 are placed among 120 students. More disappointment regarding the placement of the college. Placement would have been somewhat better.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, but the hostel will be average, and food will be okay only. Not much good. The facility in the hostel is also not much good, and the faculty and the way they treat us is also not good. Coming to food, is one of the worst experiences; otherwise, infrastructure, labs, and other things are really good.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well-trained and have good knowledge. The way they teach, also, it's really good. Love the steps for their friendly manner. They are also well-trained and have good knowledge. They are still in touch with us and are really good. I literally like all the staff working over there.
Other: All the festival events will be excellently conducted by our college, and the celebrations will be really very nice.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2025
Offered by C.S.I. College of Nursing, Marthandam
2.8
4Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Review of C.S.I. College of Nursing, Marthandam.
Placements: Our college looks small, and there are 180 students studying in it. Our principal is very strict. Every class has cameras. In our college, there is no ragging. If caught ragging, there is a fine of 25,000 rupees. For all small mistakes, fines are imposed. The college is very boring, but festival celebrations are beautiful because they are conducted by students using their own cash. Mainly, the college is not easily accessible because it is situated inside a forest area.
Infrastructure: Our college has free Wi-Fi, but students are not allowed to use mobile phones in college or hostel. The college hostel (80s clinic) is in bad condition. The hostel food is average. Some days, the food is so bad. Every day, they give a limited amount of food, and if we need more, they don't provide it.
Faculty: This course is so difficult to learn, but some teachers in our college are good. They help to learn the subject easily and they help to score high marks in exams. If the teacher does not come to the college earlier, the college is closed. A student has a chance to pass in exams, but in this case, we didn't pass in periodic exams. They didn't give marks.
Other: I didn't have any ideas to select a course. But my life pushed me to choose this course. We pay Lacs and Lacs for 4 years of studies, but our salary in our country is only 10-15 LPA. So every nursing student has an idea to study and fly to. Events in our college are boring.
