Established in the year 1948 by the State of Karnataka (erstwhile Government of Mysore), University Law College (ULC), Bangalore was previously known as Bangalore Government Law College. It came under the Faculty of Law of Bangalore University in the year 1964 and much later initiated a postgraduate LLB programme in 1986. Currently, it offers three programmes including an integrated course in BA and LLB and LLM covering specialisations like Criminal Law, Business Law, Labour, Capital and Law, Environment and Legal Order, and Constitution and Legal Order.

ULC Bangalore admission 2020 is open for courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This college has set diversified admission process for different courses, as explained below:
- Admissions to BA LLB course are granted basis the previous qualifying exam (i.e. Class 12)
- LLM admissions are offered basis candidate’s scores in Common Entrance Test conducted by the college
Note: SC/ST students are given a relaxation of 5% on the basic eligibility of previous qualifying exam.

The basic eligibility to apply for Bangalore University MCA programme is to pass graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognised university.
