Allahabad University LAT Exam 2025: Registration Date, Notification, Eligibility, Pattern

Law Admission Test (LAT) is an entrance exam conducted by Allahabad University for admissions to three-year LLB courses. Through LAT exam, candidates are offered admission to more than 1100 seats of the 3-year LLB courses offered at the Faculty of Allahabad -AU, and its constituent colleges, Chowdhary Mahadev Prasad Degree College and Allahabad Degree College. The entrance exam is conducted in pen-paper-based test and computer-based test mode. The final admissions are based on entrance test scores, eligibility criteria and seat reservation criteria.

Allahabad University LAT Exam Pattern 2024 carries a single paper of 150 multiple choice questions of two hours duration divided into three parts. Each question carries 2 marks. 

Note: For admissions to the five-year integrated law course, the university conducts a separate admission process through- Law Faculty Admission Test CUET.

Candidates seeking admission through the LAT exam should fulfill the eligibility criteria: 

• Candidates should have completed their graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university
• They should have obtained at least 45 per cent marks in the qualifying degree if belonging to the general category, 42 per cent marks if belonging to the OBC category and 40 per cent marks if belonging to SC/ ST category
• Candidates appearing in the final year examination of their graduation degree can also apply for LAT, however, their eligibility will be considered only if they submit proof of qualifying for the degree at the time of final admissions

On the exam day, candidates should follow a few instructions as under: 

• They should reach their allotted test centre at least an hour before the exam schedule for document verification and seat arrangement purpose.
• They should carry LAT 2025 admit card and one valid photo ID proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN card etc. with them.
• The candidates should also carry two pens (black or blue colour) and an HB pencil to mark answers on the OMR sheet. 
• In any case, candidates should avoid carrying mobile phones, earphones, watches, or even study material to the examination centre. Such items will not be allowed inside the examination, and, there may also not be any facility to keep them outside the test centre. 

Allahabad University will declare the AU LAT 2025 Result at least 15 days after the exam. The Allahabad University LLB (LAT) 2025 result contains information about the individual, including name, roll number, rank, and marks received in the exam, along with other pertinent details. Those who meet the requirements for the Allahabad State University LLB result 2025 will receive an invitation to take part in the seat-allocation and counselling procedures. Candidates would be admitted into the university's three-year LLB curriculum through AU LAT 2025.

The Allahabad University will release the AU LAT Counselling Schedule 2025 along with the official notification. Candidates whose names will be mentioned on the AU LAT merit list can attend LAT counselling 2025, which Allahabad University will hold on its campus.
