ACEHACK 3.0: UEM Jaipur Hosts Largest Hackathon with Cybersecurity Experts and Debut CTF Challenge
April 9, 2024: A 24-hour hackathon called ACEHACK 3.0 was conducted at the UEM Jaipur campus on April 6-7, 2024. The hackathon attracted 550 participants in person, demonstrating the high level of engagement this event generated. Notably, the occasion brought Rajasthan's first-ever Catch the Flag (CTF) challenge to life, drawing in sixty-five enthusiastic players.
The distinguished Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr Ravi Prakash Meherda, IPS, DG-Cyber, Rajasthan Police, among an impressive list of attendees. Prominent individuals such as Hargovind Bansal, CEO of Hnnoix India Ltd., Nand Kishore Yadav, Founder of RNS Cyber Solution, Pawan Choudhary, Cyber Expert and Consultant, and Mahendra Lal Kumawat, IPS, EX-DGP, BSF, and CTO of Nordek, Praveen Thakur, joined him.
Over thirty mentors willingly contributed their experience to help the participants develop their talents, which made the event even more successful.

April 8, 2024: Once again, the students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur have placed first runner-up in the 8 kg Robowars competition held at IIT Delhi, third in the Robosoccer competition held at IIT Roorkee, and first in the HoverHurdle competition held at IIT Delhi.
This year, UEM Jaipur students representing their Shunya Student Chapter have taken the world by storm by winning events all across the globe. Previous to this, they had won the Harvard University (USA) Hackathon, placed first in the technical competition Tantra Fiesta at IIT Nagpur, won the technical competition ESYA at IIT Delhi, won the technical competition AVISHKAR at NIT Suratkal, won the Hacking Health event at NIT Jalandhar, placed second in the Arduino Innovation Challenge at Prometeo'24, IIT Jodhpur, placed second in the "Robowars" event at IIT Chennai, placed second in the Biotech Innovation Challenge at IIT Chennai, and won at the Cyborg Trench event at RTU Kota (Rajasthan Technical University).

November 30, 2023: This year, Bihar hosted the return of Connectech, the nation's preeminent national technical bonanza that attracts the greatest number of participants in technical competitions nationwide. UEM Provides Scholarships to Students
November 28, 2023: On November 28, 2023, over three hundred students at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, received scholarships based on their academic merit and need. The IEM and UEM group of institutions and universities are committed to helping students in need realise their educational, personal and future development goals. During the Covid era, thousands of students received free education for one semester and more than hundred students received free education for four years. October 6th, 2023: Mr Rishabh Trivedi, IPS Officer, spoke to students at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR about a career in the Civil Services. The University of Engineering & Management (UEM) in Jaipur conducted a highly instructive session on civil service career options. The occasion was attended by a number of notable individuals, including Chief Guest Mr. Rishabh Trivedi, IPS, and representatives from the famed Allen Ace Institute.
The lecture, held on the expansive campus of UEM Jaipur, intended to guide and motivate students interested in joining India's prestigious public services. IEM, Kolkata Organises "Pre-Industrial Electrical Training" for B.Tech Students
October 6, 2023: The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, recently organised a "6 days Pre-Industrial Electrical Training" for B.Tech second- and third-year students in the EE and ECE departments at IEM, Kolkata. Students learned about the hands-on Training on: Automation (4.0), Renewable Energy Generation (PV plant), and DC protection, AC protection system, Induction motor starter panel DOL and Star Delta.

Students will have the opportunity to complete two years of their programme through on-the-job training (OJT), while also receiving a competitive stipend and performance incentives from the MSIL Dealership Network in Jaipur. April 3, 2023: Today, Prof. Saptarshi Basu gave a lecture on effective teaching and learning styles to the entire staff at UEM Jaipur. The gathering started with Prof. (Dr) Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean of Academics, University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, congratulating the Special Guest, Prof. Saptarshi Basu. Prof. Saptarshi Basu explained various methods that can be applied to improve students' learning. The lecture emphasised that creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills is just as important as imparting information when it comes to successful teaching. The first tactic Prof. Basu covered was how crucial it is to foster a positive learning atmosphere. Then he emphasised that students learn best in environments where they feel secure, at ease, and valued.
Using active learning strategies was the second tactic. He emphasised that listening to lectures while sitting in a classroom passively does not help students retain or comprehend the information. Instead, teachers should use projects, group talks, and problem-solving exercises to get students involved in the learning process. The significance of offering feedback was the third tactic addressed. In order for students to understand their strengths and flaws and learn how to improve, feedback is an essential part of the learning process. Additionally, he stated that a teacher's primary responsibility is to make learning entertaining, pleasurable, and desirable. He also provided a lot of instances from his own experience. Overall, the lesson was motivating, enlightening, and interesting.
March 23, 2023: Under the RSLDC-Mukhya Mantri Yuva Sambal Yojana (MMYSY) project, SLIEM (Salt Lake Institute of Engineering and Management) and UTSAH (UEM Training and Skill Advancement Help) launched a 120-day training program on solar power plant installation at UEM Jaipur Solar Lab. The Government of Rajasthan has chosen 55 students from different regions of Rajasthan and sent them to the UEM Jaipur Solar Power Lab for training in the installation of solar power plants. Students have mastered the essential civil and electrical installation needed for the solar plant project through this hands-on training. These solar power plant installation abilities would enable students to find employment at various companies across India as solar power plant installers.
UEM Jaipur Organises the Robotics Workshop
March 20, 2023:The ECE Department of UEM Jaipur's students hosted the ROBOTICS WORKSHOP on March 16 and 17, 2023, and it attracted a huge turnout. The event's organisers put a lot of effort into making it a success. Participants were given expert assistance and support by the student teachers during the course as they learned about concepts like as Arduino, Bluetooth modules, Motor Drivers, etc. They also learned how to construct a ROBO-CAR from scratch. UEM Jaipur Organises the Demonstration - Workshop for the Reverse Engineering Event
March 20, 2023: Students of the Mechanical Engineering Department of UEM Jaipur have organized the Demonstration - Workshop for the Reverse Engineering Event with their participants on March 17, 2023. In this workshop, they dismantled a Car Engine and demonstrated its various parts and working. Reverse engineering is the process of taking a product apart to figure out how it functions. Although it is frequently used to improve the functionality of the product, its primary application is to examine and learn more about how something works. It can be utilised to make replicas of parts that are hard to find or no longer produced. Engineers can design new machines or systems that exactly match the form, size, and function of an existing part by examining it. Engineers can also study an existing product using reverse engineering to find areas that could use enhancement or alteration. This can involve looking for ways to boost productivity, cut costs, or improve performance by examining the product's design, materials, and manufacturing procedures.
March 18, 2023: The Department of English at UEM Jaipur today held the Jingle Convention, a poetry recitation event including renowned poets and authors with the topic "Women as Basis of Value-Based Society," as part of a series of celebrations for International Women's Day. Several Award-winning poets and novelists notably Ms Pankhuri Sinha (Bihar), Ms Mili Das (West Bengal), Dr Shalini Yadav (Rajasthan), and Dr Firoz Khan (Rajasthan) were there to honour the event. Prof. (Dr.) Rajul Bhargava, a former professor at the University of Rajasthan, presided over the gathering. The poets and educators from various areas of India launched a harsh attack on society for its deteriorating ethical standards, lashing out at the rise in crime against women, her place in society, and the growing danger posed by AI [artificial intelligence].
Throughout the session, students, participants and listeners together enjoyed powerful, inspirational, and passionate poems on the themes of Women, love, life, death and migration. Many poems reflected the role of women in building a strong foundation of value-based society and women-related issues. It was clear from the session that poetry touches the hearts of everyone, transcending language barriers and bringing us together. The whole event was full of sensibility and sensitivity towards humanity and Poetry, making the event a gala success.
The master of ceremonies, Shreya Pareek (BBA II Year) and Vandana Sharma (BCA I Year) were appreciated for being wonderful anchors. The entire event was together coordinated by the members of the Department of English, Dhanika (Women Cell) and The Speech Society.
March 9, 2023: Corporate Cricket League tournament was organized by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR on the 4th and 5th of March, 2023 at the Cricket Ground of UEM Jaipur. The competing teams were the UEM team, the Rajasthan Police, the Rajasthan Attorneys, the Rajasthan Press Club, the Rajasthan Doctors, the Rajasthan Electricity Division (JVVNL), and the Rajasthan Chartered Accountants. All the teams gave excellent performances. After two days of compelling and compelling matches between eight teams, the tournament came to a close. Re-Life Hospital and the UEM squad competed in the final game.
The Cricket League's champion was Re-Life Hospital. The winning team earned trophies as well as a cash prize of Rs 25,000, while the runner-up team also received trophies and a cash prize of Rs 15,000. UEM Jaipur Celebrates International Women’s Day
March 3, 2023: UEM Jaipur celebrates International Women’s Day with Mili Das, a renowned poet of West Bengal. Mili Das, a renowned poet from West Bengal, served as the "Guest of Honor" at the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, today, capping up a weeklong series of activities leading up to the upcoming International Women's Day. The crowd was enthralled by her captivating poems. Her poems were sagas of love and death, full of vibrant recollections and vivid imagery. She wrote numerous poems about the exquisite details of nature.
The faculty, students, and participants loved her poems. The speech competition and poetry recital that followed the ceremony featured more than 50 kids who participated with great excitement and gave remarks on topics including women's empowerment, patriotism, nature, peace, and harmony. The kids' rhythmic clapping filled the auditorium. Prizes were awarded to the winners. The event was coordinated together by the Department of English in association with NSS Unit, Dhanika ( Women Cell) and The Speech Society.
February 23, 2023: On Feb 22, the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter and the School of Computer Science and Engineering hosted a tech talk by Ishan Sharma, Co-Founder MarkitUp Content Creator and Youtuber with 720K+ Subscribers.
Prof. (Dr) Aniruddha Mukherjee, Director of Academics at UEM Jaipur, and Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Sharma, Registrar at UEM Jaipur, presented awards to Ishan Sharma, the keynote speaker and guest of honour. The welcome address by the dignitaries came after the performance.
In his keynote speech, Ishan Sharma covered a range of subjects that the students found interesting. He gave students advice on how to get started in technology and discussed the potential applications of AI in business, which is now essential in our technologically advanced society. He also emphasised the value of developing one's self-confidence and time management skills while in education. In this context, he also assisted students in learning how to find the best business and start-up concept by sharing his experiences and journey in founding MarkitUp. Ishan Sharma's entire speech was centred on discovering one's individuality in a world full of imitators.
The session benefited about 300 pupils, and they were thrilled to meet their role models in person. The pupils also asked the distinguished speaker a number of questions and had their doubts clarified. Ultimately, Prof. (Dr) Mrinal Kanti Sarkar, Head of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, gave Ishan Sharma a souvenir. February 11, 2023: The University of Engineering & Management in Jaipur held its 8th Convocation for the class of 2022 graduates of its undergraduate and graduate programmes in engineering, management, physiotherapy, and computer applications on Feb 11, 2023.
The top students in each course received 18 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze medals. In all, 303 graduates of the 2022 graduating class received undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of engineering, management, physiotherapy, and computer applications.

Students from Sikar Govt Polytechnic Institute Visit UEM Jaipur for an Industrial-Oriented Lab
December 06, 2022: On November 9, 87 students and 8 lecturers from the Sikar Govt Polytechnic Institute came to the campus of UEM Jaipur for a lab visit focused on the industry.
After seeing our (industrial setup) labs, such as the 11kv/433v live GSS, Solar power lab, and preindustrial training centre lab, all of the professors and students expressed their awe and asked UEM Jaipur to conduct pre-industrial training for their students during the summer and winter breaks to help them gain the self-assurance to land a job in the core sector.

UEM Jaipur Hosts On Campus Digital Adda-Decoding Data Analytics and Cloud Careers
November 28, 2022: UEM Jaipur recently hosted an on campus event named Digital Adda- Decoding Data Analytics and Cloud Careers. About 300 students participated in the event.
The Sector Skills SSC organises Digital Adda, a series of virtual round tables for knowledge sharing on specific skilling, once a month to highlight upcoming opportunities and current trends and to give academia, CEOs, HR heads, recruitment heads, and EdTech business leaders a forum for discussion.
The goal is to develop India into the world's Digital Talent Hub and a preferred location for tech talent by understanding how tech trends are changing across multiple sectors and their effects on talent and skilling.
UEM Jaipur Organises Industrial Visit to Material Research Centre, MNIT Jaipur
November 28, 2022: University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur students from the Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments visited the Materials Research Center at MNIT for educational purposes.
Dr Anurag Hamilton and Prof. Vinod Yadav did a terrific job of organising the industrial visit, which the students found to be an excellent learning opportunity.
A centre of excellence, the Materials Research Centre, has been established with the capable assistance and direction of the GoI in order to improve the infrastructure for advanced research and to achieve excellence in creative research in materials technology. By utilising MNIT's talent pool, the Materials Research Centre (MRC) hopes to further interdisciplinary research in pertinent materials technologies. The Materials Research Centre's cutting-edge research facilities are made available to scientists and faculty from other institutions in addition to meeting the research demands of the institution's faculty and students.
UEM Jaipur Hosts Three-Day Workshop on Web Development
September 30 , 2022: The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur and Shunya Club collaborated to host a workshop on web development. This three-day course took place from September 20 to 22.
A job in web design can be far more enjoyable and fulfilling.
The workshop's instructor, Divyansh Sachdev, led the students by providing them live demonstrations of web design techniques from Basic HTML to Advanced HTML, CSS, and also showed them how to use javaScript to add functionality to websites.
Students from all sections of the school showed there in such large numbers over the course of the three days.
UEM Jaipur Organises Two-Day Yoga And Meditation Camp
September 23, 2022: A fantastic approach to revitalise and unwind the body and mind is through yoga and meditation. On September 22–23, a two-day yoga camp is planned for the University of Engineering & Management's faculty and students with this goal in mind (UEM). Dr BS Yadav, the director of physical education, participated fully in the yoga practise. More than 200 students took part, showing great attention, zeal, and eagerness.
The Gayatri Mantra was chanted to invoke the blessings of the All-Powerful to start the session. Warming up and stretching exercises were followed by a sequence of asanas, including Padmasana, Sukhasan, Tadasana, BhujangAsana, and Shavasana. For the benefit of the teachers and students, stress-relieving, joint-pain-reducing, and back-flexibility-improving exercises were also performed.
By taking yoga off the mat, Dr BS Yadav also made a point about how crucial it is to incorporate it into our daily lives. The lesson came to an end with an interactive session between the students and the instructor (Dr BS Yadav), during which the students' questions were satisfactorily answered. The first session day was incredibly energising, revitalising, and soothing. Tomorrow's second day of the session will begin.
Department of Mathematics Organises Seven-Day International FDP
September 22, 2022: On September 18, 2022, the Department of Mathematics at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM) Jaipur successfully concluded its seven-day International FDP on Advanced Tools and Techniques for Scientific Research Writing and Publication.
More than 240 individuals from all over the world registered for this Faculty Development Program. The participants were really engaged and asked numerous questions throughout all of the sessions. The skills we acquired in this programme included "How to write a scientific research paper for publication in SCI journals, How to write and file a patent, How to write and file a project, Brief introduction to tools: MATLAB, LATEX, MENDLEY and PANEL DATA."
Students and Teachers of BPT Programme Becomes Physiotherapy Trainers & Sports Recovers Coaches
September 13, 2022: For the Inter-state competition of the National Yuva Kabaddi Series being hosted in Jharkhand this quarter, physiotherapy trainers and sports recovery coaches from the BPT (Physiotherapy) Program at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur have been chosen.
Players from several state-based Kabaddi teams are in attendance, along with DR Imran Khan and students from the physiotherapy departments.
The competition will go on until October 21. A cash prize of Rs. 30 lakh will be awarded to the victorious team in this interstate competition.
The month-long competition offers BPT students at UEM Jaipur a wonderful chance to engage in live practise and communication with players at the state level.
Distinguished Speaker Programme of ISLE Student Chapter

"Contemporary Lighting: Light is Life" is the topic.
Speaker: Dr Rajat Mandal, President of the Society of Integrated Technology School & Promotion and General Secretary of the Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) (SITSP)
He has 37 years of expertise in the lighting sector across all divisions. Dr Mandal is the National Lighting Code (NLC)-Bureau of India Standards' Project Leader for Research and Development. Dr Mandal holds the positions of Director at EON Electrical, Vice President and Business Unit Head for the Osram Asiana and MEA counties, Regional Manager at Bajaj Electrical, and Manager at Lighting Design-Philips. Additionally, he has so far mentored a number of PhD candidates.
Through a season of "Contemporary Lighting," this programme aimed to generate interest in and understanding of the lighting industry. By adding fundamental information on "NOW & FUTURE" lighting in terms of technology transformation and transition, concept, product, standard, testing, and new developing fields, this builds upon the lighting foundation. This time of year is meant to broaden and open up one's search for light for all types of people, including specialists, professionals, and even the ordinary public.
Students and academics in particular are present here since they will lead Indian lighting into the modern era and serve as its future ambassadors.
BTech Mechanical Engineering students Visit CIPET
September 12, 2022: Today, the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) in Jaipur hosted a visit from BTech Mechanical Engineering students from the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR. Research and development in the specialised fields of polymer science, plastics, and petrochemicals could be introduced to the students. For the advantage of industry-sponsored employees and entrepreneurs, the sector has placed a strong emphasis on automation in mould design, CAD, tooling, processing, and testing of plastics. Prof. Iqbal Ahmad, Prof. Sasthi Charan Hens, and Ved Prakash provided competent supervision of the visit.
UEM Jaipur Inaugurates The Dalta Marketing Club
September 8, 2022: The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur's School of Management hosted the Dalta Marketing Club's official opening ceremony on August 26, starting at 11:00 AM.
More than 100 students took part in the business model canvas exercise and talked about their business concepts.
The event's principal guest was Prof. Dr Anil Mehta, Director (Retd.) of the University of Rajasthan.
Along with Prof. Dr Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, and Prof. Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Registrar, they visited the business ideas exhibition, interacted with the students, and praised the department's initiative. They also gave the students advice on how to organise more events, including a signature event that will be held on a large scale in the university and events that will connect them with local Jaipur entrepreneurs.
First-year MBA, BBA, and BBA second-year students presented their business ideas and received a lot of encouragement and admiration from all the guests and faculty members.
Three-Day Hands On Workshop On Flutter Development
August 12, 2022: In order to prepare students for the workforce, the University of Engineering & Management ACM students branch organised a 3-day hands-on workshop on Flutter Development from August 1–3, 2022, in collaboration with GYTWorkz Technologies Pvt Ltd. A single codebase may be used to create cross-platform applications for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, Google Fuchsia, and the web using Flutter, a new open-source UI software development tool.
More than 180 students from the second, third, and fourth years of B.Tech, BCA, and MCA attended the programme. On August 4, 2022, the last day of the workshop programme, a competition titled "Design with flutter" was held.
From GYTWorkz Technologies, two runners-up groups and one champion group each received alluring rewards.
UEM Jaipur Receives Extra Mile Award
August 8, 2022: In New Delhi, at the Camridge Annual Coordinators Conference 2022, UEM Jaipur received the Extra Mile Award.
One of the approved testing locations for the Cambridge Linguaskill Program (Business) for English language competency is UEM Jaipur.
More than 40 institutions were invited to the meeting, and UEM Jaipur was one of six that received awards for their support of higher education throughout the pandemic.
Kalpesh Amin, a master trainer with Cambridge Assessment English, conducted the course on "Assessing the four language skills" in a highly professional manner. The Annual Coordinators Workshop's main goal was to increase teachers' understanding of how the four language skills are evaluated using both the CEFR and the Cambridge English Assessment Scales.

UEM Jaipur Hosts Entrepreneurship Promotion Conference
August 2, 2022: "Entrepreneurship Promotion Conference" was held today on the campus of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, under the auspices of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch Self-Reliant India Campaign.
The campaign's primary goal was to demonstrate how young people are thinking about entrepreneurship and self-employment. To ingrain this notion firmly in students' minds and foster a respectful climate for entrepreneurship in society, an entrepreneurship promotion conference was held.

July 25, 2022: A Covid warrior, Sandeep Agarwal is the Deputy Director of Projects at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. During the epidemic, he helped countless people by providing them with food, medicine, and masks in large quantities.

UEM Jaipur Organises Inaugural Session
July 21, 2022: Once again, according to the Academic Calendar, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, is the first university in the State of Rajasthan and most likely the first in all of India to begin classes for the entry batch 2022–23 in all departments (BTech, BCA, BBA, BPT, MTech, MCA, MBA, MPT).
Classes began according to schedule for first-year students in all courses. The first day of class was met with great enthusiasm by the students, who also took pleasure in the opening lecture.
In accordance with the Students' Induction Programme, a number of events and orientation sessions have been scheduled for the upcoming 15 days.
UEM Jaipur Secures 3rd Position in Rajasthan in NPTEL Exam
July 19, 2022: NPTEL is a platform used by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with the IITs and IISc, to administer exams for all technical students and assess their performance in national comparison.

UEM Jaipur As Sports Recovery Partner For Inter Tsate Tournament At Jaipur
June 03, 2022: The department of Physiotherapy of University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, Jaipur has partnered with ELEV8 Sports India for Interstate Kabaddi Tournament YUVA Kabaddi Series matches in jaipur from May 28 to July 3.
Players from kabaddi teams from other states are being attended by Dr Imran Khan, Dr Madhu, and Dr Aasifa Rashid Khan, as well as students from the physiotherapy department.
The tour began today and will last through July 3rd, 2022. It is an interstate tournament with a cash prize of Rs 30 lakh for the winning team.
The event was attended by Suhail Chandok, Co-Founder of Elev8 Sports India, Ashok Chandna, Rajasthan State Sports Minister, and members of the Rajasthan State Kabaddi Association.

The session drew over 100 students and faculty members from the institute, who learned about patents and trademarks.
The workshop has a long-term impact on intellectual property rights and startup management. BPT (Physiotherapy) Pre-Final Year And Final Year Students Are Going For Hospital Postings In 8 Different Hospitals Of Jaipur
April 15, 2022: Pre-final year and final year BPT (Physiotherapy) students are going on hospital placements at eight different hospitals in Jaipur.
BPT pre-final year students work in hospital outpatient departments (OPDs), whereas BPT final year students work in hospital IPDs and ICUs.
It is proving to be a terrific learning experience for all of them because they are receiving hands-on experience with patients and learning to treat various medical conditions such as Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Neonatal, and so on.

March 22, 2021: University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur is inviting all job aspirants to one of the biggest placement opportunities in the country on March 23, 2021. UEM Jaipur Organises Industry Connect Programme
March 11, 2021: University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur recently organised an Industry Connect Programme in joint efforts with the Government of Rajasthan, Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship. The aim of the event was to discuss all upcoming possibilities and plans of industry-institute partnership in the coming days. The programme was held at RSLDC Stadium, Jaipur on March 9, 2021.
A dialogue was conducted for mutual advantage, with the aim of achieving a win-win situation for both industry and UEM Jaipur. A variety of events were addressed, including collaborative ventures, sponsored projects, and internships.

UEM Jaipur Organises Press Conference to Depict the Achievements of the Institute
February 10, 2021: Today, a press conference was organised by the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur Vice-Chancellor Dr Biswajoy Chatterjee, said that the key purpose of the press conference was to demonstrate the Institute's milestones, including one of the best placements during the pandemic relative to the last five years.
UEM Jaipur students have consistently secured placement offers from all over the country and even from abroad even during the difficult times of worldwide pandemic. The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, reported 116.73 per cent placement in the 2020 pass out class (ratio of the number of jobs offer to the number of opting students). Giga Data Center based out of Atlanta, USA offered the highest salary package of Rs 72 Lakhs per annum which was the highest pay bid achieved by UEM Jaipur students and is also higher compared to the last five years. One student has nine job offers, one student has five job offers, one student has four job offers, 10 students have three job offers, and all students have one or two job offers.
Registrar of the University, Dr Pradeep Kumar Sharma, announced that the Institution Innovation Council of UEM Jaipur has been ranked in the third position in Rajasthan by MHRD, Government of India in 2020 ahead of BITS Pilani and University of Rajasthan. The University is also the recipient of the most coveted honour on Globe, QS Awards in Gold Category overall and in Diamond category in ‘Placement of Students’ in 2019 and 2020.
During the difficult times of the Covid pandemic, the following were the initiatives taken by the University:
- The University also offered the medical reimbursement of Rs. 1 lakh for any attending staff member/family falling victim to Covid-19, over and above Rs 50,000 medical reimbursement of staff members/family under regular MoU with the University.
- One time allowance of Rs 1 lakh is being paid to alumni member losing their job during the pandemic.
- Special Covid-19 Scholarships equivalent to one semester fees is being paid to students (up to 20 applicants), whose parents lost their job during the pandemic.
- There was no reduction in staff strength and salary. Special allowance was paid to staff who had to attend the University after the lockdown was released and till November, 2020.
- More than 10,000 paid online courses from top foreign Universities like Harvard, MIT etc. were made available free to all teachers and students by UEM Management.
IEM Toastmasters Club Recognised for its Dedication Amid Nationwide Lockdown
June 28, 2020: Division K and DTM Brati Sankar Ghosh presented the award to IEM Toastmasters Club for being the most active and dedicated club amid the nationwide lockdown. The club has organsied over 35 meetings with institutes such as IIM Calcutta on various topics such as Post-Covid Impact on Education; and Cinema: The Most Beautiful Art in the World. The platform also gave an opportunity to many individuals to share their journey towards the achievement of their dream so far. The idea was to motivate other students and audience. Out of many students who participated, Seema talked about self-love in leadership, Rohini talked about the importance of sex education, Hriday narrated the story of a boy who aspires to achieve dreams.
With all these regular meetings that were held on every Friday, IEM Toastmaster Club tried to create awareness among all to have a positive outlook towards life.
University Celebrates International Yoga Day Amid Nationwide Lockdown
June 24, 2020: To fight the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, all healthcare professionals are educating the citizens to eat well and maintain a healthy lifestyle by exercising every day. During these tough times, University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur has been taking care of all the students who could not travel back to their homes. The University celebrated this International Yoga Day along with all the students in the hostel, faculty members and other staff members in staff quarters by performing yoga at the University campus. Yoga not just makes one looks good from outside but also strengthens the immune system of the human body. It is an ancient physical and spiritual discipline and a branch of philosophy that originated in India. It is part of our culture and heritage.
University Reports Record-Breaking Placement Statistics; Highest Package Recorded at Rs 72 LPA
June 5, 2020: This year the UEM Jaipur has witnessed excellent placements with percentage reaching over 116.73 per cent (ratio of the number of job offers to the number of opting students). The placement season is still on with four more months to go. All students have a minimum one offer with few of them are having more than four offers. In 2019, UEM Jaipur reported 123.22 per cent of placements ratio. All big brands and top recruiters such as Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, LG Electronics, Kreeti Technologies, Harman International (Samsung unit), Sansui Electronics, C-DAC, TCG, Amara Raja (Amaron), cvDragon India, Devoy Softech, Skytech Solutions, Infoobjects Software, Appventurez Mobitech, iBirds Software, Aimil Ltd, Okaya Infocomm, Shree Associates, ICICI Bank, Ksolves India, Schoollog, Hightech Next Engineering & Telecommunication and Extramarks have shown active participation in the placement season.
UEM Jaipur Assures No Loss of Academic Time; Conducts Examination Online
April 16, 2020: Amid the pandemic situation of COVID-19, UEM Jaipur has assured students of no loss of academic time. The University is conducting the classes of ongoing batches online through various video conferencing tools such as Zoom and YouTube live as per routine. The lab sessions are also being successfully conducted through Virtual Labs (vlab), Matlab and Hacker Rank (online coding platform).
The biggest challenge was to conduct the examinations online to which UEM has found a solution. Mid-semester examination has been held through IEMCRP (University’s e-governance software) and invigilation through Zoom. The exam papers (with descriptive type questions) were uploaded by teachers into IEMCRP and were available at exam time from the students' profiles. The scanned copies of answer sheets were uploaded by students and made available to teachers. Similarly, the final examinations will also be conducted.
Not just the curriculum, the University is also inviting applications for 2020 admissions and is also holding the placements sessions online.
UEM is developing affordable Ventilators to aid COVID-19 patients
April 15, 2020: Shopan Dey, a Research associate and a mentor at the UEM Jaipur is working towards development of basic and affordable ventilators that can be assembled at a mass scale and used for treatment of COVID-19 patients. Air pressure and breathing rate can be programmed in this system. Here, a 3-D printed blower is turned into a non-invasive pressure relief device to assist in respiratory distress. It is an evolving project but is most closely associated with the concept of a non-invasive pressure support BiPAP ventilator in its present shape.
The primary architecture can have a programmable breathing rate (e.g. from 10-16/min). The Positive End-Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) may also be programmed. The blower is mechanically capable of reaching 45cmh2o under extreme airway pressure. It is not recommended therefore to go past 20cmh2o
Once the system is in place, it will be able to help people fight various respiratory diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema and asthma.
January 25, 2020: Taking into consideration both physical and mental health, UEM Jaipur conducted a guest lecture on “Implementing Indoor, Environment Quality Standards in Buildings and Workplaces” under India Green Building Council (IGBC). Students and faculty members of civil engineering and electrical engineering department were invited to attend this lecture. There were discussion related to Indoor Environment Quality which is correlated to indoor lifestyle. They both serve as important factors to ensure physical and mental fitness. This lecture was followed by IGBC achievements and also initiatives taken to make all buildings green.
University Organises Connectech-UEM Technical Bonaza
January 23, 2020: In association with Jharkhand state government, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Jharkhand Council on Science and Technology and Innovation (JCSTI), UEM Jaipur and Kolkata oganised Connectech-UEM technical Bonaza at Ranchi Science Centre, Jharkhand. It is an Inter-School Technical Competition that invites students of top schools of Jharkhand to participate. The event comprised of four competitions:
- NIRMANA: A Science model competition for Class 9-12
- TECHART: A drawing competition for Class 8-12
- PYTHAGORAS STAR: A Maths and Physics test for Class 9-10
- PYTHAGORAS PRO: Maths and Physics test for Class 11-12
Students from different schools such as Oxford Public School, Cambrian Public School, Sarla Birla Public School, St.Xaviers College Intermediate Section, Jawahar Vidya Mandir, DAV Public School Bariatu, Vidya Vikas Public School Ranchi, among others, showed active participation in the event.
Winners were awarded with trophy, certificates and cash prizes.
January 17, 2020: Looking at the need of industry and to achieve economies of scale, students of University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur developed a mini CNC machine for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) fabrications and CNC milling. This technology costs Rs 25,000-30,000, which is 1/10th of cost of CNC machines, is available in market. PCB fabrication is the process of assembling circuit boards used in electronic and computer devices. The board layers are arranged along with the common surface pattern so it can be used in the manufacturing of electronics. The machine has now been handed over to Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology, formerly WBUT, the state University of West Bengal.
UEM Hosts “The Jaipur Mega Job Mela’20”
January 16, 2020: University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur is organising “The Jaipur Mega Job Mela’20” on January 31 in association with Department of Skill, Employability and Entrepreneurship. Over 50 top companies, excellent in their domains are participating to recruit more than 500 candidates suitable for different job profiles. These companies include Squareyards, Imagine XP, Syscom Softech, Cinepolis, Tech Mahindra, Gxpress, Livewire and Design I Robo.
December 8, 2019: Master Trainer of Entrepreneurship, Wadhwani Foundation, Raghunandan visited University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur campus to deliver session on Direct to Customers (D2C) Foundation courses. D2C is a purchase process concept developed in China in which people of country buys goods and products from overseas. The main motivation of the foundation course was to improve the communication skills and smartness among students and to develop an overview of the business scenario. This also encourages entrepreneurial skills in students. The process of indulging the youth into the practice of doing something of their own is a way of creating a self-made environment.
UEM Jaipur offers placements in core development profile
Final year students Mohit Agarwal and Lalthanpari Khawlhring of University of Engineering & Management (UEM) have successfully secured placements in development profile at iBirds Software Services. UEM has been well-known for placements opportunities that it brings to students of the university. Companies such as TCS Digital, Infosys, LG Electronics, ICICI Bank actively participated in placements season for batch 2020. UEM has also adopted the “Flipped classroom” methodology to make the learning more effective for the students. Also, to prepare students well for placements, university focuses on scheduling mock interviews at regular intervals to prepare students.
UEM Student Develops AI-based Virtual Assistant
November 13, 2019: Sreyaskam Ghoshal, a second year student at the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur has designed an Artificial Intelligence-based voice-controlled virtual assistant for computer. By giving voice orders, the users can instruct it to perform different functions. Artificial intelligence or AI is an emulation by computers of human intellect. By making the new software which reduces human effort, the future has emerged and Aritificial Intelligence will demonstrate a way forward that decreases mistakes by the accuracy and quality of the work. Railways, telecoms, airports, businesses, and so on have started to accommodate this transition with software upgrading.

Placements: As per this year, 1 student got 7 job offers, 2 students got 3 job offers, and many others got many other offers. In case of placement, our college brings many sales companies, but I think we can get better opportunities like TCS, Wipro, Infosys. The main reason behind it is our area is a bit village-type, so recruiters don't visit often.
Placements: Roles like tech and non-tech are available on campus. Some companies conduct 3-4 rounds of interviews for tech profiles, which also include coding rounds. Many students opt for studies abroad after passing out. The average package is 5 LPA, with the top being 7 LPA.
Placements: The college claims 100% placements; however, quality matters. The packages are very low, with only small startup companies visiting for drives. The average package offered in my course is 500000. For management courses, mostly sales and marketing roles are offered. However, various internship opportunities are available.
Placements: Average package is 3-4 LPA, people will tell in double digits and all, but in campus is between 3-4 LPA. , also few offers goes till 6.5-7 LPA, many students opt for higher studies like MBA, or goes to foreign as well. Companies like kreeti, aaklan visit campus.
Placements: The percentage of students placed varies between 60-70 percent. Most companies recruit for tech profiles like ASE, SDE, and cloud, but there are non-tech profiles as well. However, to crack dream packages, you will have to put in your own effort. The highest on-campus package varies between 6-7 LPA, with the average being 3-4 LPA.
Placements: Placement scenario is very poor, only 1-2 tech companies give actual joining after selecting. Major companies are from sales, many of the placements are off-campus, which are shared by the college. The average package is 3 LPA, that too in sales, so not recommended.
