UNIRAJ Highlights 2024
University of Rajasthan (Also known as UNIRAJ or UNIRAJ Jaipur) was established in 1947 as University of Rajputana and is approved by UGC. UNIRAJ Jaipur is accredited by NAAC with the grade A. The UNIRAJ University of Rajasthan offers UG, PG, Certificate, and various other courses to students. RU Jaipur offers courses in fields such as Arts, Science, Management, Law, Education, Humanities, Social Science etc. through various departments and constituent colleges. The Uni of Rajasthan is famous for its flagship courses which are MBA and BTech.
University of Rajasthan course admissions is based on both merit and entrance exams. Some of the entrance exams accepted by Uniraj include URATPG, NEET PG, NEET SS and PIM-MAT, among others. Uniraj also offers scholarships to meritorious students through the Government of Rajasthan schemes. History of UNIRAJ University of Rajasthan:
- After the Act for the Allahabad University was passed, the efforts for an individual University for the Rajputana State was initiated in early 1921.
- The University of Rajputana came into existence on January 8, 1947.
- RU Jaipur had Dr. G.S. Mahajani (Principal of Ferguson College, Poona), as the first Vice-Chancellor of the University
- The first foundation stone of Rajasthan University of Rajasthan campus was laid by Shri C. Rajagopalachari on February 20, 1949
