Peaceful and stress free college for students.
Placements: In Vels University, 80% of the students are placed in companies. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Zoho, CapitaLand, TCS, Hexaware, and Shell. The highest package is about 15 LPA, and the lowest for the UG program is 3 LPA. For the PG program, it is 5 LPA. The top roles offered in our course are senior analyst, database manager, and software developer.
Infrastructure: In VELS University, all classrooms have smart class facilities with TVs and projectors. For each department, we have vending machines for snacks. For all departments, we have Wi-Fi connections, and there will be one common library, but a large one. All the quality was good except for the rooms of the hostels.
Faculty: All the faculty of Vels University are well-qualified, and all the faculty have doctorates for the particular degree. The course curriculum will be more helpful for the students in the aspect of future development. The semester exams are for 100 marks. For UG, the pass mark is 35%, and for PG, 50% is the pass mark.
Other: I chose this course because I want to gain knowledge in the computer section. There is an annual event in VELS called Nakshatra.

Good college for better future.
Placements: Eighty percent of students in my course were placed with companies such as Amazon and Wipro. The average package offered was 65,000 rupees. Ninety percent of students got internships, with the top roles being in sales and marketing management.
Infrastructure: Vels University has a unique style of infrastructure that attracts new students. The campus is well-maintained, and the buildings for different departments are separate, which makes it easy to navigate. However, the quality of some of the departments is a bit low.
Faculty: Some teachers are helping-minded, and some are too lazy and rude. They are not even thinking of the students futures. They will not be attentive, and they don't even know how to control students.

Good for aviation - overall average.
Placements: Our program has a good record of placing students in companies like Indigo, Air India, etc. Many students from our senior batch have secured full-time positions, while even second-year students have obtained part-time jobs on campus. While the number of companies visiting our college is limited, those that do tend to be high-quality employers, offering opportunities to a select group of students.
Infrastructure: Our college's outdated infrastructure and poor maintenance make for an unpleasant experience. The bathrooms, in particular, are unsanitary and emit strong odors that can be suffocating. This, combined with other shortcomings, creates a less-than-ideal living environment for students residing in the hostel.
Faculty: The accelerated pace of the course may hinder students' ability to fully grasp the material, especially in the final stages. However, the curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills for success.

Best university life is in VELS University.
Placements: The percentage of students who were placed in the course is 42 students out of 93 attendees. 3.7 LPA. Indigo Airlines and Airport Authority of India have given internships to most of the students who have applied: Officer in AOCS, Executive in Ramp, Officer in Security, and Officer in Catering.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, gyms, cafeteria, library, auditorium: we have all the facilities with good amenities. The medical facilities are spot on and very immediate in action. The sports clubs are one of the best. It has both indoor and outdoor activities. The quality of food is very easily adaptable.
Faculty: The teaching quality was top-notch. All our instructors were very qualified and experienced. Our curriculum was totally in-depth to the practical level of the work field. The semester exams were very difficult, and moreover, the monthly assessments were equally difficult as the semester exams. The pass percentage of the semesters is 45%.
Other: I chose this course because it is totally about aviation. We had one college fest every year. The crowd was full all the time.

Placement training is good, and the infrastructure and facilities are very good.
Placements: 75% percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.2 LPA in my course. Cognizant, Wipro, IBM, Hexaware, Fusion, TCS, etc. companies are recruiting in my course. 70% percent of students got internships from my course, and the companies are Sanmina, etc. Software development, web development.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Evening - Batch of 2024

A college that boasts name and fame but is no bite.
Placements: About 70% of the students were placed in my course. The highest package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest package offered was 2-2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Wipro, TCL, and Accenture. I would say only about 50% got their internships in some small newly set up companies that didn't have a lot of reputation. The positions offered were Business Associate, Assistant Store Manager, Management Trainee.
Infrastructure: There aren't a lot of facilities for the commerce department, which is quite frustrating. The classrooms are small for a class of 60 students, the building is too old; a renovation would do. The hostelers are provided with A/C, beds, washrooms, and the mess's food is okayish but not good. The canteen is a bit on the expensive side. There's only one clinic, common for both the school and collegiate students. There is no club for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but aren't knowledgeable; the teaching quality is average, with teachers using the local language. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready practically (only theoretical knowledge). The semester exams are pretty easy to crack, and the passing percentage is, I would say, about 75%.
Other: I felt this course was more competitive compared to Science and Arts courses. The best thing is it helps grasp how the economy works in a country. There is a scholarship examination for students seeking it before joining. The college hosts a ton of events throughout the 3 years of this course, and the crowd and connectivity are average, to say the least.
