Institutional Collaboration Stands as a Cornerstone for Effective Knowledge Sharing and Collective Progress: Prof. T.G. Sitaram Chairman -AICTE
March 05, 2024: Prof. T.G. Sitaram, Chairman of AICTE, emphasized the crucial role of institutional collaboration in effective knowledge sharing and collective progress during his attendance at the Sixth Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Planning Board. Hosted by VIT-AP University and organized by APSCHE, the event focused on nurturing vibrant research and innovation ecosystems in universities. Prof. Sitaram commended the AP Government and APSCHE for their efforts in promoting quality education and appreciated the collaboration among top institutions. He highlighted the benefits of collaboration for students, including access to diverse resources and research opportunities. Prof K. Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman of APSCHE, praised the state government's commitment to providing quality education, with initiatives like the VIT-AP STARs program offering free education to underprivileged students. Despite resource limitations, AP allocated a significant portion of its budget to education, reflecting a strong commitment to educational development.
Vice-Chancellors from 51 universities joined forces to discuss and enhance the educational ecosystem in AP, emphasizing research and innovation culture. Dr G. Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor of VIT - AP University, urged increased government investment in education, echoing the NEP's call for allocating 6% of GDP to education. Prof S.V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, reiterated the institution's commitment to cutting-edge research and innovation. Dr Buddha Chandrasekhar from AICTE praised APSCHE's initiatives and emphasized the importance of collaboration between central and state governments to achieve NEP 2020 goals. Prof P. Uma Maheswari Devi and other dignitaries were also present at the event, symbolizing the collective commitment to advancing education in Andhra Pradesh.
VIT-AP Merit Scholarships For UG, PG Non-Engineering Programmes
July 15, 2022: The GV Merit Scholarship and Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship were announced by Dr. G. Viswanathan, the founder and chancellor of VIT, with the intention of assisting students enrolling in non-engineering programmes like BBA, BCom., law, BSc, and BA as well as postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2022–2023.
Any Board Topper in the nation is eligible for the GV Merit Scholarship, according to Dr S.V. Kota Reddy, vice chancellor of VIT-AP. For the duration of the UG programme, the accepted candidate will get a 100% scholarship under this award. Additionally, he mentioned that in order to be eligible for the Rajeswari Ammal merit scholarship, an applicant must be a District Topper from any state in the nation. For all four years of the degree programme, the accepted candidate is eligible for a 50% scholarship on the tuition. If a girl wins the District Topper award, she will receive a 75 percent scholarship and an additional 25% scholarship.
According to Dr. Jagadish Chandra Muduganti, Registrar, VIT-AP, the PG Merit Scholarship for all PG Programs offers 100% Scholarship to all admitted candidates who received a CGPA of 9.0 or above (whichever is applicable) in the qualifying UG examination and 50% Merit Scholarship to admitted candidates who received a CGPA of 8.0 or above (whichever is applicable) in the qualifying UG examination. VIT-AP Conducts 2-Day International Conference on Climate Crisis and Future Implications
May 9, 2022: An "International Conference on Climate Crisis and Future Implications" is being organised by VIT-AP University in partnership with SICOM (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change) and GCRS (Geo Climate Risk Solutions Private Limited) as knowledge partners. On Saturday, May 7, the two-day virtual conference began and ended on May 8.
In the presence of Dr S. V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, VIT-AP University, the programme was inaugurated by chief guest Sanjai Jalla, Mission Head, SICOM Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Jalla stressed the significance of responsible resource production and usage in reducing climate change impacts during his remarks. The conference was an attempt to continue the conversation about climate adaptation policies, economic and legal methods, and infrastructure supply for society while keeping climate at the forefront. International and national academicians, policymakers, and professionals from various disciplines were among the invited guests and speakers, with the goal of collaborating and expanding the conversation on the climate problem and its repercussions.
Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, Dr S. V. Kota Reddy, greeted and thanked the participants from many prestigious universities who presented research papers on the issue of climate change. He stressed the significance of adopting proactive steps to combat climate change. He claimed that VIT-AP plans to install solar PV panels on campus to cut in-house energy use. International speakers from the United States and the Middle East were invited to present a multi-faceted global viewpoint on climate change challenges. Matteo Boffa of the Swiss Business Council, Abu Dhabi, provided a highly entertaining discussion on the intriguing possibilities of conducting successful, sustainable business initiatives. Debjani Ghatak of Texas A&M University shared her research on the difficulties of heatwaves and the Indian climate.
VIT-AP University Inks MoU With ANGRAU
April 28, 2022: On Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at ANGRAU Administrative Office, Lam, Guntur, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Acharya N G Ranga University (ANGRAU) and the VIT-AP University was signed. The goal of this memorandum of understanding is to bring smart agricultural research to the forefront.
The research problems of smart farming, the use of drones, and the use of robotics in diverse agricultural applications, according to Dr A Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Vice Chancellor, ANGRAU. This may result in an increase in the farmers' society's income.
After signing the MoU with ANGRAU, Dr S V Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, VIT–AP University, complimented the ANGRAU team on their services to farmers. He also demonstrated his accomplishments in research at VIT-AP. Apart from that, he stressed the importance of conducting research in a way that serves societal requirements.
Dr Sumathi gave a presentation on the many articles and patents that have been published in the agricultural field. She also talked about TARS and VISU, two autonomous ROBOTs developed by VIT-AP students and teachers. She highlighted agricultural research difficulties that may be handled by using cutting-edge technologies such as Deep Learning, IoT, and drones. Dr S.V. Sudha, Dean, School of Computer Science Engineering, and Dr Ajith Jubilson spoke to the team about potential future research collaborations.
The MoU ceremony was also witnessed by ANGRAU Professors, Dr T. Giridhara Krishna, Registrar, Dr K. Yella Reddy, Dean of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Dr A. VIT AP Reports Highest International Offer of INR 63 Lakh
March 25, 2022: Sudhanshu Doddi, a BTech, CSE student from the 2022 graduating class, received a fantastic foreign campus placement offer from a world-class analytics firm situated in the United States.
Sudhanshu was congratulated on his International Offer achievement by Dr SV Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor. Sudhanshu congratulated the VIT-AP University's Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Deputy Director Career Development Centre, and his instructors on this occasion for their unwavering support, persistent efforts, and guidance in achieving this international offer. He also wishes all of his juniors the best of luck with their placement endeavours.
"We are thrilled that once again the top corporations in the country and MNCs have placed their trust in our students," said Dr SV Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor. “We will continue to strengthen our involvement with the sector in the coming years to guarantee that we continue to build socially conscious, responsible leaders who contribute to making the world a better place." As of March 24, 2022, a total of 627 students had been placed against 1175 total offers, which included 246 super dream offers and 354 dream offers. The biggest package offered at VIT-AP jumped to INR 63 LPA from INR 20 LPA last year, and the average income of the batch increased to INR 7.3 LPA from 6.77 LPA (Lakhs per Annum).
Dr V Samuel Raj Kumar, Director, Career Development Centre, stated that over 805 recruiters, including key companies, participated in the VIT Placements 2021-22. Intel, Xilinx, Robert Bosch, and ALSTOM are a few examples. VISA, Microsoft, Walmart, Adobe, Amazon, JP Morgan Chase& Co, SAP Labs, Goldman Sachs, Phillips, IBM, Commvault, DELOITTE, Pharmeasy, PEPSI CO Global Business Services, VM ware, and others are among the IT firms.
VIT-AP University Celebrates International Women's Day
March 8, 2022: VIT-AP University commemorated International Women's Day online and encouraged everyone to challenge gender stereotypes.
During her speech, chief guest Padmaja Chunduru, Managing Director and CEO, National Securities Depository Limited, Mumbai, stated that women should have financial stakes in their lives in order to achieve social, economic, and professional equality. Even in the learned society, there is a lot of unconscious bias. We may all break the bias by demonstrating empathy, compassion, concentration, care, and concern. Women have the potential to be powerful; instead of seeking patronage, seek equality. She counselled young women to manage their expectations, including their own and others' expectations, perception management, time management, decision making, and doing the things that are necessary for advancement toward goals.
Believe in yourself and strive for equality, said G Muthazhagi, Chairman, VITAA (VIT Alumni Association). "No one can make you inferior without your consent," she said, adding, "We are all set to commemorate the 111th International Women's Day with the theme "Break the Bias." We can overcome the bias if we work together. Let us challenge the bias that exists in our environment. The secret to success is finding a work-life balance. Encourage and inspire the women in your life. I am pleased to inform you that VIT-AP operates in a gender-balanced atmosphere”, she continued.
Dr G Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT, in his speech, asked all-party males to work hard to ensure that women receive 1/3rd representation in parliament and the panchayat. The Vellore-based Universal Higher Study Trust is now awarding 7,000 scholarships to female students for higher education. This will aid in the prevention of teen pregnancy and early marriage. He also thanked the winners of the many events held on this occasion, which were open to students, professors, and staff.

VIT-AP University Conducts Two-day National Level Annual Business Plan Competition
March 5, 2022: On the 4th and 5th of March 2022, the VIT-AP School of Business (VSB) and Technology Business Incubator-Innovation Incubation Center (TBI-IIC) successfully completed the two-day National Level Annual Business Plan competition in virtual mode. Ramesh Kaza, Senior Managing Director, State Street Bank & Trust, Boston, USA, was the Chief Guest at the valedictory session in virtual mode. He urged the students to think beyond the work, saying, "It's OK to fail, because if you can't risk now, you can't risk afterwards." Corporate plans are essential for executing business strategy and ensuring profitability and long-term viability.
A business plan, according to Dr. Raghavendra, Associate Dean-VSB, "may bring clarity to the decision-making process about essential components of the business such as capital investments, leases, resourcing, and so on. A business strategy Aids in the development of a marketing strategy, the recruitment of talent, and the acquisition of funds provide a framework for the company.”
The winner of the first prize: Team A squared of Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad members Anirudh Gupta and Anusha Priyadarshi received a cash prize of one lakh rupees.
The winner of the second prize, Searchyourspace from VIT-AP University in Andhrapradesh, received a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Shaik Sameeruddin and MD Abdul Razzaq are part of the team.

VIT-AP Hosts IEEE International Conference On AI And Signal Processing
February 12, 2022: AISP'22 – Second International Conference is being organised by the School of Electronics Engineering, VIT-AP University in collaboration with IEEE Guntur Subsection and Technical Co-sponsored by IEEE Hyderabad section, and will be inaugurated by Chief Guest Srinivas Lingam, Vice President, Data Center and AI Group, Intel Corporation in the presence of Guest of Honour Prof. Tokunbo Ogunfunmi from Santa Clara University, USA on Saturday, February 12, 2022 during the morning hours.
The focus of this forum, according to Srinivas Lingam, Vice President, Data Center and AI Group, Intel Corporation, is to present the latest developments in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Signal Processing and to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry.
During his talk, Prof. Tokunbo Ogunfunmi of Santa Clara University in the United States stated that the conference is also designed to publish visionary papers with unique and new ideas in order to stimulate innovation in this area. Advances in the theory, design, implementation, analysis, and verification, as well as empirical evaluation, of AI and Signal Processing applications in the creation and development of State-of-the-Art technology, are the focus of the papers.
VIT-AP Conducts Three-Day International Conference ICAMEMS
January 24, 2022: From January 22nd to the 24th, 2022, the first International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering & Material Science (ICAMEMS) was held virtually at VIT-AP University, Amaravati.
The relevance of Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering in the development of current technologies was highlighted by chief guest S Balchandran, Executive Chairman and CEO, Buimerc Corporation Ltd., Dubai, UAE. The current epidemic has ushered in a new period of reflection, and colleges are playing an increasingly important role in inventing technology to meet society's demands. Dr Mohammad Younis, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Binghamton University, State University of New York, USA, encouraged students to use the conference to develop solutions in response to societal concerns.
Dr G Viswanathan, VIT's Founder and Chancellor, emphasised the VIT group's contribution to research and the success of its alumni in diverse sectors throughout the world.

VIT- AP University Felicitates 25 Unsung Heroes
January 26, 2022: On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations on Wednesday, VIT-AP University honoured APSRTC driver O. Madhu, APSP Police Constable K Srinivasa Rao, 10 fire service personnel, two RTC drivers and conductors, and 12 policemen for saving people's lives through their diligent performance of their duties.
The national tricolour was unfurled and the award recipients were presented with certificates of recognition and awards for their contributions by AS Dinesh Kumar, Joint Collector & Addl. District Magistrate, Guntur Dist. On this occasion, he also handed out free laptops to students in the Support ‘The Advancement of Rural Students (STARS) program's 2021’ class.
During his speech, he reminded the audience that service to people is service to God. Praised university administrators for honouring Unsung Heroes on Republic Day and Independence Day in memory of their selfless devotion to humanity as part of university social responsibility. He also educates the public on constitutional and moral ideals. These prizes and a reward of INR 20,000 were given to all 23 members. VIT – AP Concludes Three-Day workshop On AAMCM
January 10, 2022: From the 7th to the 9th of January, the Department of Mathematics at VIT-AP University hosted a three-day online workshop on Advances in Applied Mathematics and Computational Methods at VIT AP University, Amaravati.
Prof. S Srinivas, Department of Mathematics, stressed the importance of computational methods in solving real-world problems during his speech. Speakers from reputable institutes and industries were invited to give 13 presentations. Their valuable views and suggestions enlivened the workshop. This session drew 260 people from all throughout the country, with a few from abroad.
This workshop provided a prominent forum for scholars interested in researching challenges in Applied Mathematics and assisting in the solution of real-world problems. This programme also focused on and introduced modern Mathematical software packages such as MATLAB, MATHEMATICA, and PYTHON, which are critical in dealing with the computational issues that arise while solving Mathematical models.
VIT-AP University Inks MoU With ISDC, UK
December 22, 2021: VIT-AP University recently entered into an agreement with ISDC UK.
After signing the MoU with ICDS, UK, Dr S V Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, VIT–AP University, stated that the purpose of the agreement is to impart skill and capabilities to the students. ISDC, a Skill Development Company with expertise in Professional and Vocational Education, is collaborating with VIT-AP School of Business to promote and deliver Business Analytics to all BBA students, which is endorsed by IoA (Institute of Analytics), the UK professional body for Data Science and Students will also receive an ISDC Diploma in Business Analytics in addition to their BBA from VIT - AP University. He also mentioned that VIT-AP School of Business had signed MoUs with Alphabet, USA, Digital Scholar, and MasterMinds CA Academy.

VIT – AP School Of Business (VSB) Hosts Three-Day International Conference
December 16, 2021: Ganesh Ram, CEO & MD, MF Utilities, and Dr SV Kotareddy, Vice-Chancellor, VIT-AP University kicked-off a three-day international conference on Business Transformation and Senior Director Economic Youth and Sustainable Development Directorate, The Commonwealth Secretariat, United Kingdom, in the presence of Ganesh Ram, CEO & MD, MF Utilities, and Dr SV Kotareddy, on the 17th and 18th of December 2021, the conference sessions will resume.
Dr Ruth Kattamuri is the special guest of honour. During her speech, she discussed the advantages of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Expresses the importance of yoouth readiness in capturing opportunities for the country's growth. She wished that VIT will always be a pioneer in upskilling youth through multidisciplinary courses and preparing future leaders for the global economy.
VIT-AP Vice-Chancellor Dr SV Kota reddy stated that while VIT is known for engineering, the university has begun to offer non-engineering courses. School of Advanced Sciences, VIT-AP School of Business, VIT-AP School of Law, VIT-AP School of Social Sciences and Humanities are a few departments running under VIT AP. At VSB, the institute offers BBA and BCom (Finance) CA foundation and Inter programmes, which can be combined with their BCom Finance degree through a partnership with Master Minds CA Academy. The BBA programmes have a 2+2 agreement with the University of Michigan, Dearborne, and Arizona State University in the United States. Industrial Collaborations with Digital Scholar for Digital Marketing Certification and a Memorandum of Understanding with Alpha Beta for Fintech Certifications exist at VSB. On March 4, 2022, the school is planning to hold a nationwide business plan competition. Providing a venue for research experts, students, and faculty members to share their discoveries. Dr Lajwanti Naidu, Assistant Director-Strategy, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority, Government of Andhra pradesh, served as the conference's Chief Guest on December 11, 2021, in the presence of Dr G Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of VIT. During her speech, the chief guest stated that the necessity to restructure people's lives and professions after Covid is a challenge for any organisation of any size. She applauded VIT-AP for taking a positive step forward in the future by launching a BA-M programme in humanities (Public Services). The gap will be bridged by teaching sociology, anthropology, geography, psychology, international relations, history, and economics. These studies will help students become better people.
According to Vice-Chancellor Dr SV Kota Reddy, research papers on the theme ‘Reimagining the Paradigm of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Post-Covid World’ will be presented by academics and faculty members from several reputable universities.

VIT-AP Inks MoUs With Intel & Boston IT Solutions
November 18, 2021: VIT-AP University has signed two virtual memorandums of understanding (MoUs), one each with Intel and Boston IT Solutions.
The MoU with Intel was signed between Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University Dr S V Kota Reddy and Jitendra Chaddah, Country Manager, Intel Supply Chain, India. The goal of this MoU, according to Dr Reddy, is to establish a Centre of Excellence (COE) for the Internet of Things (IoT) at VIT-AP University. The COE was established to help students improve their technical abilities and bridge the gap between industry and academia.
IOT, according to Intel India Programming Head Girish, is a cutting-edge technology that builds a global network of machines and gadgets that can connect and exchange data over the Internet. This Center allows academics, students, and researchers to conduct research and develop novel methods and algorithms for specific IoT-related problems, as well as to use IoT to tackle societal issues.
On the other hand, the MoU with Bengaluru-based Boston IT Solutions was inked between Dr Reddy and Laxmi Nageswari, Global Head of AI Education and Solutions.
According to Dr Reddy, the goal of this MoU is to collaborate on real-time applications and to do cooperative research and consulting on cutting-edge AI and robotics technology. It also gives students the opportunity to gain experience working in an engineering environment while still meeting their academic requirements, adds Nageswari.
VIT-AP School of Law Inaugurates Legal Aid Clinics
November 12, 2021: The AP High Court Legal Services Committee has launched the Mission Legal Service Programme in honour of Legal Services Day. The AP High Court picked VIT-AP School of Law (VSL) to join the mission legal services and give their services to develop legal awareness in the villages Velagapudi, Sakamuru, and Inavolu recognised and adopted by the VIT-AP University as part of this programme.
The programme began in two of VIT-AP University's three adopted villages, Sakamuru and Velagapudi, and the legal aid clinics were inaugurated by B Seshaiah, Senior Civil Judge, Mangalagiri, and Chairperson Mandal Legal Services Authority, with Dr Chakka Benarji, Dean VIT-AP School of Law, Prof. M. Mahathi, Faculty Coordinator of the VIT-AP School of Law Legal Aid Centre, and students in attendance.
The Mission Legal Service Secretary, who opened the event, spoke to the participants about the necessity of raising legal awareness in order to offer access to justice to those who are in need. She also emphasised the importance of students, lawyers, judges, social workers, and district and mandal authorities in transforming villages into model villages free of disputes and litigation. He directed and encouraged the students to take an active role in raising legal awareness among the country's residents.
Local residents, mandal authorities, police officers, and other village revenue officials, as well as students from VIT-AP School of Law, attended the event.

August 13, 2021: The two-day International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Data Engineering (ICCIDE-2021), hosted by the School of Computer Science and Engineering, will begin in virtual form on August 13, 2021 at VIT-AP University in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. VIT-AP Offers Rs 62 Lakh As Scholarships To Covid-Affected 25 Students
August 4, 2021: For the current Academic Year 2021-22, Dr G. Viswanathan, Founder Chancellor, VIT-AP University, offered Rs 62 lakh as scholarships in the form of 100 per cent fee waivers for 25 VIT-AP University students who had lost a parent who was the family's breadwinner owing to Covid-19. These 25 students are enrolled in a variety of engineering and non-engineering programmes. During the initial wave of Covid, VIT-AP offered a building for a quarantine center and donated Rs 75 lakh to the AP CM Relief Fund in two installments (Rs 25 lakh + Rs 50 lakh) to support the government's efforts to combat the disease.

VIT – AP Donates Rs 50 Lakh To AP CM Relief Fund
July 28, 2021: Dr G. Viswanathan, Founder Chancellor of VIT-AP University, met with Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and handed over a Demand Draft for Rs 50 lakh to the ‘AP Chief Minister's Relief Fund’ in order to help the Andhrapradesh Government's efforts in the fight against Covid. On March 30, 2020, VIT-AP donated Rs 25 lakh to the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic in Andhrapradesh.

July 22, 2021: VIT-AP School of Law (VSL), VIT-AP University recently entered into an agreement with Wordict-IP. The idea is to establish Centres of Excellence in Intellectual Property, New Emerging Technologies and Law and other centres of excellence to encourage the clinical, research and practical application of law to the future legal professionals.

VIT-AP School of Law Celebrates World Refugee Day
June 21, 2021: VIT-AP School of Law commemorates World Refugee Day. The event was jointly hosted by the VIT-AP School of Law, VIT-AP University, Andhra Pradesh, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, India on Monday, June 21, 2021.
The event is being held to raise awareness about refugee protection and statelessness. Globally, the refugee crisis is on the rise as a result of long-running conflicts and human rights violations, resulting in massive displacement and forced migration.
The Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) has four broad objectives: I reduce host country pressures; (ii) increase refugee self-sufficiency; (iii) improve access to third-country solutions; and (iv) promote conditions in countries of origin for safe and dignified repatriation, including corresponding metrics. Are the goals outlined in GCR recasts of previous long-term solutions? The proposed National Webinar on June 21, 2021, as part of World Refugee Day events, would debate if they have new meaning in text and context. How India has incorporated GCR into its laws and policies in relation to ideals of protection, inclusion, and care, as well as how it approaches the WRD topic 'Together We Heal, Learn and Shine'.
The daylong national webinar discussed the relevance of the Global Compact on Refugees and reminded state parties that they are obliged by their sovereign states' responsibilities. The programme included experts from academia, civil society, practitioners, refugee organisations, and students.
Yukiko Koyama, UNHCR India's Senior Protection Officer, emphasised the importance of the Global Compact on Refugees for the protection of refugees and stateless people around the world. The presidential speech was given by Dr. Arvind Tiwari, Dean of the School of Law at TISS in Mumbai, while the keynote talk was given by Professor Samir Kumar Das, Former Vice-Chancellor of the University of North Bengal. The relevance of World Refugee Day was discussed by Dr Parivelan KM, Chairperson of TISS Mumbai's Centre for Statelessness and Refugee Studies.

June 7, 2021: On Sunday, July 6, VIT-AP University commemorated its fourth University Day with a colourful virtual celebration. The Chief Guest was Adityanath Das, Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhrapradesh. In his remarks to the audience, he stated that VIT is known for its high-quality teaching and innovative methodologies that prepare future generations to compete in the global marketplace. VIT-AP School of Law (VSL) Calls For A Board of Advisors Meeting
May 31, 2021: The Board of Advisors of the VIT-AP School of Law (VSL) met to discuss VSL's participation in the current situation. The meeting was set for Thursday, May 27, 2021, late in the evening. A galaxy of legal luminaries from India and outside attended the meeting.

Signing an MoU with VIT-AP, according to Dr S Chandrasekhar, Director CSIR-IICT, would inspire more young men and women to participate in research through guiding/co-guiding MSc and Ph.D. students on their projects, dissertations, internships, CO-OPs, Senior Design Projects, and the like. This agreement will allow us to collaborate on societally important science programs. IICT will share information by giving guest lectures on curriculum courses, as well as cooperate on areas such as sharing of scientists, professors, and students, initiatives, and applying for bilateral programmes on the above-mentioned areas of expertise, as long as the norms of the respective institutes are followed.
VIT-AP School of Law to Host a One-Day National E-Conference on Public Health: Policy, Law and Rights perspective
March 17, 2021: Owing to the imposed lockdowns in the new Covid-19 situation, human rights debates are once again front and centre. During the lockdown, events such as migrant marches in India and their circumstances posed a threat to the human rights regime. The treatment of the poor people by the federal and state governments raised concerns about their right to subsistence as well as public health. The steps taken to combat the pandemic, such as producing and providing vaccinations to the world's poorest nations and most disabled people, have raised concerns of inequality, which may jeopardize the idea of social justice.
In light of the above, the Electronic Journal of Social and Strategic Studies (EJSSS) is teaming up with VIT-AP School of Law to host a webinar aimed at delving deeper into the idea of public health as a human rights precept.

VIT-AP Conducts National Workshop on Data Science and Advanced Computing
March 13, 2021: Dr Audimulapu Suresh, Minister of Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, virtually inaugurates a five-day national workshop on data science and advanced computing organized by VIT-AP University's of Advanced Sciences, and lauded the university's efforts in hosting national and international level workshops and conferences by inviting professionals from both industry and academia, which will be broadcast live on television. Students will work as computer scientists, machine learning engineers, machine learning scientists, application architects, enterprise architects, data architects, infrastructure architects, data analysts, and business intelligence (BI) developers after learning data science. He claimed that this government is focused on delivering education that is based on value, ability, and technology. He also welcomed 2,493 students from 26 Indian states and seven foreign countries.
Dr G Viswanathan, VIT's Founder and Chancellor, claimed that in today's data-driven environment, embracing emerging technology and computational methods is a must for 21st-century employment. This workshop will not only motivate participants to explore new research paths, but it will also provide them with ample chances to connect with experts from around the world. VIT-AP Inks MoU with Alphabeta Inc. and Topxight Research Labs
March 3, 2021: VIT-AP University recently entered into an agreement with Alphabeta and Topxight Research Labs with an aim to combine academic rigour with hands-on training.
Alphabeta is a US-based firm providing goods and services to banks and financial services organisations. When addressing the crowd, Vice-Chancellor of VIT AP University Dr SV Kota said, "FinTech is transforming business structures and financial models in a way that has never been seen before. There is a tremendous appetite around the globe for trained FinTech practitioners. VIT-AP University meets this demand with a BBA curriculum specialising in FinTech. Our emphasis is on balancing intellectual rigour with practical teaching. Students will collaborate on real-life projects using the new technology on the Alphabeta tool. At the conclusion of the programme, students will also be able to study current topics, construct innovative business/financial models and create patents. Students completing BBA Fintech will work in banks and financial services such as Blockchain Expert, Blockchain App Developer, Financial Analyst, Data Scientist-Finance, Business Analyst, Process Analyst, Compliance Manager, Product Manager and Business Development Manager.”
VIT AP Announces Merit Scholarships for Non-Engineering Undergraduate Course Students
February 17, 2021: Vice President, VIT University Dr Sekar Viswanathan has recently declared a GV Merit Scholarship and a Tmt Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship to non-Engineering undergraduate students. The goal of the scholarship is to assist candidates participating in BBA, Law, BCom, BSc and BA programmes, in addition to the flagship USR activity and STARS programme.
The GV Merit Scholarship is for any board topper across the country. Under this scholarship, the recipient will earn a 100 per cent scholarship for all years of the undergraduate degree.
The eligibility criterion for the Tmt Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship is that the candidate must be a district topper from any state across the country. The recipient is eligible for a 50 per cent tuition fee waiver for all years of the degree programme. If the district topper is a girl, she will earn an extra 25 per cent scholarship (making it a 75 per cent scholarship).
These two merit scholarships will be used for all the eligible students who have been accepted to undergraduate non-engineering programmes in the academic year 2021. The application process will commence on February 17 and the last date to apply for the admission is May 31.
VIT-AP School of Law Inks MoU with Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS)
February 9, 2021: VIT University, AP School of Law recently entered into an agreement with the Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS) with an aim to work committedly for the cause national security.
Chief Guest Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that both organisations must share principles and proposals to protect nations from different security threats. Threats ranging from cyber security, wellness, coastal security, and mainly internal security, to address specific policy and legal problems. Without consistent policies and legal guidance, it is impossible for the powers to communicate with and defend the citizens of this region. The VIT-AP University and the CHSS should bear in mind that these issues need to be discussed in a simple and centred manner.
In his speech, Dr SV Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, highlighted the commitment of the university to the development and advancement of education and urged law students and faculty to work for the progress of society. He emphasised that the University is committed to the creation of the Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security and Law. This centre will operate holistically to offer better alternatives to society, and it has informed the value of the centre and its reach.
VIT Opens Admin Office at Hyderabad
February 5, 2021: VIT University, AP recently announced the launch of its new admin office in Hyderabad. The goal of the Center is to promote prospective applicants, parents as a knowledge centre and to cooperate, establish corporate ties with IT, tech and core companies. For the first class of BTech candidates, VIT-AP had stellar placements with several offers for many applicants. Also worth noting are more than 76 companies offered 440 placements this year, as reported by Dr Sekar Viswanathan, Vice President, VIT.
The University invited Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary to the Government Industries, Commerce and IT, Telangana State as the Chief Guest of the event. In his speech, the Chief Guest praised VIT's attempts to reach out to prospective students and parents and to cultivate close corporate ties with IT, tech and core state-owned firms.

February 4, 2021: On Tuesday, VIT University, AP congratulated APSRTC drivers B Krishna Rao and D Hanumantha Rao on 72nd Republic Day Celebrations along with six fire services personnel and three police personnel for saving people's lives by faithfully discharging their duties. Vice-Chancellor Dr A Vishnu Vardhan Reddy of Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University, Government of Andhra Pradesh unfurled the 100ft national tricolour and awarded 47 academic excellence awards to students for the academic year 2019-20 and 15 awards to faculty and staff winners of cultural competitions.
Chief Guest commended the university authorities for preferring the Republic Day to congratulate Unsung Heroes for their selfless contribution to mankind under the responsibility of the University of Social Responsibility. Engineering and agriculture should work together to reach optimum output, thereby doubling farmers' incomes. He also shared his desire to work together in the agri-engineering field for the good of the farming community.

Placements Update: University Reports 7,403 Job Offers in Total for all Four Campuses
December 22, 2020: Despite the difficult times due to the global pandemic situations, all four campuses of VIT University – Amravati, Vellore, Chennai and Bhopal together reported more than 7,403 job offers rolled out by 382 companies through virtual campus recruitments. Basis the reports released by the Founder and Chancellor of VIT University G Viswanathan, as many as 4,503 students have received multiple job offers.
VIT-AP University’s first batch will be graduating in May 2021. The placements season this year started in July 2020 and will last till May 2021. As on today, the campus has reported 419 job offers made by over 73 renowned companies. All of these, right at the beginning of the season, have secured Super Dream offers (CTC of Rs 10 lakh and above per annum). Harsh Vardhan Kushwaha, BTech CSE Student specialising in Networking and Security has got the highest offer of Rs 20 lakh per annum from CommVault.
Some of the top recruiters include Amazon, Philips, Volvo, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Citi Bank, Barclays, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Honeywell, Robert Bosch, Shell, Tekion, Sabre, Akamai, Societe General, Nutanix, CommVault, Health Rx, ARM, Amadeus, Oyo, VMWare, Optum, Pharmeasy, Tata CliQ, Axis Bank, etc.

VIT-AP University Conducts International Conference on Applications of Fluid Dynamics (ICAFD)
December 15, 2020: The Amaravati-based VIT University, AP recently held a three-day online International Conference on Applications of Fluid Dynamics. This ICAFD-2020 meeting was the fifth in a series of International Conferences that aimed to establish a leading international forum that brings together Scientist, Engineers and Industrial experts to present the latest advances and inventions in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics and explore path-breaking advancements and problems in order to choose alternative paths.
ICAFD 2020 invited resource persons from countries such as USA, Australia, UAE, Singapore and South Africa and from reputed Universities such as IIT, NIT, VIT and Central University from India. The conference was the result of a long collaborative effort between the School of Mechanical Engineering, VIT-AP University and the Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Out of the total 175 participants, 100 presented their research papers among which 25 were from the USA, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Malaysia, UAE, Singapore, West Indies, Australia and the rest of the papers were from different states of India which included IIT’s, NIT’s, Central Universities, etc.
Founder VIT University Inaugurates the Academic Staff College
November 20, 2020: Early today, Dr G Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of VIT University, AP, virtually inaugurated the Academic Staff Campus. He said during his address that VIT-AP University had launched the Academic Staff College (ASC) to understand the connection between the commitment of teachers and the quality of education. Via comprehensive orientation of particular topics, strategies and methodologies, ASC would improve faculty motivating skills and expertise and thereby instil in them the principles that will, in turn, enable them to take ambitious and imaginative job initiatives.

VIT-AP University Appoints Dr SV Kota Reddy as Vice-Chancellor
November 16, 2020: VIT University, AP recently appointed Dr SV Kota Reddy as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Dr D Subhakar handed over the charge to the new incumbent at a basic function. When speaking at the meeting of faculty and staff members of VIT-AP University, he encouraged faculty members to concentrate on research studies and demanded staff to provide full assistance to students in order to achieve better facilities.
Dr S V Kota Reddy holds a PhD from IIT Bombay in Mechanical Engineering. Before this, he was the President of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai Campus. He leads a variety of disciplines in the path of excellence to ensure continuous delivery of quality education with more than 30 years of teaching, study and managerial experience in India and abroad. He has been responsible for defining and developing student exchange programmes through partnerships with different universities across the globe.
On this occasion, he met with the heads of the university departments and provided instructions for the smooth provision of services to the students especially in the conduct of classes and examinations in the prevailing circumstances. He told the university to follow the government's instructions specifically from time to time.
VIT AP University Launches VIT-AP School of Law
September 10, 2020: VIT University, AP invited Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheswari over a virtual session to inaugurate the VIT-AP School of Law. The school would operate on the same campus as that of VIT AP.
During his speech, Chief Justice Maheswari expressed his views on the emerging need for new Law Schools to ensure the holistic development of the students and to ensure enough supply of global legal professionals.
University also invited Justice C Praveen Kumar and Justice T Rajani, Judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh to participate in the inaugural session of Legal Aid Clinic and Moot Court Hall. At the opening ceremony, the judges stressed the importance of clinical law training to law students. They also stressed that students should plan to take the legal profession seriously and begin litigating with the other possibilities for students today.

Around 50% of students got internships from our course in companies like Caterpillar, Verizon, Blackrock, and Accenture. Top roles offered are Java developer and data scientist.
