Opportunities are there but hard work is needed.

Placements: CGPA plays an important role in the placement criteria. You need to be different from the crowd, as the crowd here is really huge. Opportunities are there for growth, but you need to be aware of things. Startup culture is not very good here as compared to tier 1 colleges.

Every third student you see is a CSE student.

Placements: Most of the students get placed in companies like TCS and other mass recruiters and a small percentage of students get packages above 15 lacs. Competition is very high, but somehow most of the students get placed and CSE and IT students get decent placements.

Are you planning to take admission in VIT? We have something for you.

Placements: As, I am a fresher hence I don't know much about the place but I had asked one of my seniors about it and he told me that the highest placement of this year offered is 50 lac per annum which is quite decent according to me as considering the other private colleges it is 2-3 times more than that.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. Placement is decent.

Placements: The placement is decent. Competition is very high, as student intake is very high. Top recruiters include TATA MOTORS, CATERPILLAR, SCHNEIDER, INFOSYS, etc. The average package is 8 LPA. Roles include electrical engineer, technician, chief electrical engineer, etc.

VIT was not a good campus but the crowd is good.

Placements: A minimum of 60–70 percent of students get placement in our department, course, or branch. The highest package is INR 10–15 lacs, the lowest package is INR 3–8 lacs, and the average package is INR 10–12 lacs, but in the 3rd year, not everyone got an internship through campus; there were only a few top companies.

It is a very good college.

Placements: All students got placed in this course. Almost 4,000 students got placed in our batch. The highest salary package offered was 1.02 crore per annum. The average salary package offered was 9.25 LPA. Top recruiting company is Motorq. Around 300 summer internships are organised in this college. Nearly 3,000 industrial internships are offered.

Review of VIT Vellore.

Placements: About 95% of students get placements. Many top companies, like Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Amazon, etc., come here. The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Technical and consulting roles are offered. The percentage of people getting internships is low because of the large number of students.

VIT VELLORE and its good infra.

Placements: I am not that aware about placements and stuff because in first year but surely they are improving as last year the highest package was 1.05crores and median was 7lpa I have also heard that there are a lot of internship opportunities and the companies that visit are also very good.

I am not satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities, but I am satisfied with placements.

Placements: Placements for IT and CSE students are guaranteed if they have no backlogs during the placement season. Civil and mechanical students might have difficulty getting jobs. There will be many companies coming for ECE and EE. They can get into software development or the ECE side.

Placements wise, the college is good. But the crowd management is bad.

Placements: A good number of placements are offered. The highest according to the previous batch is 75LPA. So, it's a good number. The average is around 8 LPA which is not so bad. We can expect more in the coming years. But as the crowd here is high, a below-average student can't really compete enough without the proper skill.

Our college has good infrastructure and provides good facilities.

Placements: Less than 10% of students are placed since recruiters prefer B.Tech Biotechnology over Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology students. Top recruiters include Dr. Reddy's and other less popular companies. About 40% of our senior batch got internships in various educational institutions.

Review of Vellore Institute of Technology .

Placements: Placement is good, but the student density is so much that it is difficult for everyone to get good offers. Also, you must already know good coding to get a good package. Most of the teachers themselves do not teach coding. They just teach syntaxes. You are expected to do the rest by yourself.

Faculty is not so good at VIT.

Placements: Average placement was almost around 95%. The highest and the lowest packages were 67 LPA and 3 LPA resp. Top recruiters were Microsoft. The people who got internship were 5-10%. Top roles offered are software engineers. I would suggest everyone to work on their skills and study a lot while you're here.
