ICAI CA Final November 2024 registration window is closed. Candidates had to register for the CA Final exam at the ICAI webite by using their login credentials by paying the requisite fee. Applications of only those students were accepted to met the eligibilty criteria for CA Final November 2024 session. Registration for CA Final May 2025 exam may begin in February 2025.
Q: What is the fees for CA Final exam?
The fees for CA Final course (New and Old Schemes) is INR 1,800 for single group and INR 3,300 for both groups. Candidates have to pay the fee at the time of online form submission. Candidates must submit the fee and application form before the deadline otherwise they will have to pay an additional amount of INR 600 as late fee. The fee is non-refundable. The fee payment is to be done through credit card, debit card or net banking. Unless the fee is paid, the course or exam application form will not be submitted. Candidate will receive acknowledgement in mail upon successful transaction.
Q: What is the mode of application submission for CA exams?
The application form submission mode for CA exams is online. Candidates have to fill and submit ICAI CA exam forms on the official website of the exam agency only. The ICAI does not host the exam form at any other website. Candidates must avoid filling the exam form through any other means or platform to prevent fraud. The CA exam forms are available only at icai.org or icaiexam.icai.org websites. There is no provision to submit the forms online either. Candidates have to fill the form by creation a login ID. The login ID created for first time registration can be used for all further activities related to the CA course.
Q: I had created a ICAI CA login ID earlier. Can I use the same to fill the form again?
Yes, in case you have created login from November / December 2016 CA exam onwards, you don’t need to recreate the login even if you have converted to New Course. You can log in with your credentials and avail the services offered by the ICAI.
In fact, once you have created a login ID for the CA course, be it at the time of registering for the CA Foundation course after Class 10 or 12, or at the time of registering for CA Intermediate after graduation, you will not have to create a login ID again for rest of the course levels and activities.

ICAI CA Exam Registration Process 2024 Highlights
To fill the CA Final exam form, students need to have a valid login credentials on Self Service Portal (SSP) of the ICAI and a valid course registration and the fee is INR 500. CA Final course validation is 5 years. If the validity of the registration has lapsed, they can re-validate or convert on SSP at https://eservices.icai.org/.
Conversion: It is mandatory for candidates registered under Old Scheme to convert on SSP from CA Final Old Course to CA Final New Course by paying INR 1,000.

Q: Can I change my test city after submitting the CA exam form?
Yes, candidates can change their test city preference after submitting the CA exam form but they can do so only when the examination authority opens the form correction window. The form correction facility is opened for 2-3 days in every exam phase. The form correction window usually opens a day after the last date of CA exam form submission. During the form correction window, candidates can change image, signature, test cities and exam medium.
CA form correction is a one-time activity and of you don’t make the changes in the form while the window is open, you will not be allowed to make any changes in the form later.
Q: Can I fill in the CA form partly and complete it later?
Yes, candidates can fill the CA form partly before and complete it later but they must ensure to complete the form filling and submission process before the last date so that their application is accepted. The ICAI provides late fee submission facility to candidates for a week, however candidates should submit the form at the earliest, to avoid paying the late fee. Until the ICAI CA exam form is submitted and fee amount is paid, the form will remain incomplete. Thus, candidates must comply by the registration deadline to be eligible to appear for the exam.

CA Final Form Correction 2024
To edit the CA Final exam form for change of medium, exam group or test city, candidates have to follow the steps given below:
- Go to https://eservices.icai.org
- Login with your ID and password
- Click on CA application form 2024
- Check relevant fields for editing
- Makes changes by selecting ‘changes required’ option
- If no editing is required, select ‘No change required’
- Review changes and verify with the OTP received in mobile and email
- Upload a scanned handwritten application, signed by you (in relevant format)
- After submission, print the acknowledgement form

Q: How can I choose my test city for CA exam?
The option to select test city for CA exam is given in the application form. The ICAI CA exam is held in over 180 cities across India. Candidates can select up to 3 cities as their preferred location. They have to select the city/cities of their choice in the form in order of 1-3. The test centre will be allotted to candidates as per their first preference and availability of seat. If the seat is already filled in the test centre of the city of first preference, the candidate will be allotted a test centre in the second city of preference.
Q: In which foreign cities CA exams are conducted?
ICAI certification for CA professionals has a lot of credibility across the world which is why many candidates living abroad pursue this course. Members of Indian communities who live abroad also pursue the CA course by ICAI. The exam is conducted in eight cities for all course levels. They are:

ICAI CA Final Application Form Filling 2024: Photo and Signature
When uploading the scanned photo and signature for CA Final form, candidates must keep in mind the following:
- The photo should recent and clicked against white background
- The photo must have a clear contrast of the image
- Photo wearing goggles and caps will not be accepted
- Religious headgears are allowed but should not cover the face.
- Photo with spectacles will be accepted.
- If flash is used while taking the picture then make sure that there is no “red-eye”.
- The format and dimension should bejpg/jpeg format and of 20-50 KB.
Given below are the requirements for uploading candidate signature in the ICAI CA Final exam form:
- Signature should on a white sheet with a black pen.
- The format should be jpg/jpeg and the file size must be between 10-20 KB.
- The scanned signature should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces

Instruction to Fill CA Final Application Form 2024
- The candidate is required to furnish valid details and fill every mandatory field. Incomplete forms will be rejected.
- Payment of fee is to be done through Visa/Master/Maestro Credit/Debit Card.
- After fee payment, candidate must download the duly filled form and take a print out of the same.
- If the uploaded image does not appear on the printout of the application form, candidates can attach twolatest photographs (passport size – 3.5X4.5 cm)– One attested and one non-attested.
- If the signature does not appear on the CA Final exam application form, then the candidate must sign at specified places and get it countersigned by parent/guardian at the specified place (in any case).
- The ICAI CA Final application form has to be attested by a Chartered Accountant or a Gazetted Officer or Principal of School/College.
- Candidates can change or upload their photograph and signature on the SSP before submitting the exam form or during the form correction window.
- Candidates whose CA Final articleship status is in pending mode due to documentation must update the status on SSP before filling the exam form.

Q: What is the passing marks in CA Final?
The passing marks for CA Final is minimum of 40 per cent aggregate in each individual subject and 50 per cent aggregate of all the subjects at one sitting in either both the groups or a single group. Candidates who do not score the minimum percentage, have to take the exam again in the next cycle.
Students can make as many attempts as they can because, to complete the Chartered Accountancy course, one needs to clear all the course levels with passing marks. The CA course is of a very high difficulty level and even the toppers manage to score not more than 70-75 per cent. A large number of students cannot clear a course level in one go. The pass percentage hovers around 25 to 30 percentile.
Q: What if I don't clear the CA Final course? Can I reappear for the exam?
If a candidate is unable to clear the CA Final course exam in the first attempt, they can reappear. The initial registration for Final Course is valid for five years, which means each candidate gets 10 attempts. After five years, they can register again for the next five years. The certificate to practice Chartered Accountancy as a profession is given to any student by the ICAI only after they clear the final level. Irrespective of the number of attempts they have made to clear it. Until they clear the CA Final level and get the certificate, they cannot practice as a professional.

After completing CA Final course, students can start independent practice or join an auditing firm as chartered accountant or analyst. If they join an auditing firm or a company, then they can seek full-time employment. They can also go for other professional courses such as MBA/PGDM to make a career in corporate finance.
