The Council of Architecture (CoA) has announced the NATA 2024 result for Jul 6 and 7 papers online at nata.in. Candidates can now access the result in the form of NATA 2024 scorecard by logging in using the required details  NATA 2024 is being conducted every weekend from April 6, 2024, as a computer-based and pen-and-paper-based test. Candidates will be eligible for a maximum of three attempts and the best score will be considered for admission. NATA 2024 will be divided into two sections - Part A (Drawing and Composition) and Part B (Multiple-Choice Questions). Candidates were able to access the NATA 2024 application form online from March 1, 2024 at nata.in. To participate in the entrance exam, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the NATA application form 2024 until the final date, which will be announced soon. The authorities are expected to announce the other important NATA 2024 dates soon. NATA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the revised NATA eligibility criteria 2024 before applying for the entrance exam. Only those candidates who meet the specified criteria will be eligible for NATA 2024.

Q:   How long is NATA score valid for?

A:

NATA score is valid for two academic years. With their obtained scores, the candidates will only be able to apply for colleges in that admission year and the following year. The score will be invalid if the candidates use it for admissions after two years. If the candidates wish to apply for admissions after two years, then they will be required to retake the entrance examination. Requests for extension of the score validity will not be entertained by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to immediately apply for admissions after they receive their scores. 

Q:   I have not studied Mathematics in my 12th standard qualifying examination. Am I eligible for NATA?

A:

According to the eligibility criteria of NATA, it is essential for all candidates to have studied and passed Mathematics as a compulsory subject in the 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination. If the candidates have not studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject, then they will not be considered eligible for NATA. Therefore, the candidates are advised to carefully check the official NATA eligibility criteria before applying for NATA. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to participate in the examination process.

Q:   What is the minimum qualifying marks in NATA?

A:

The minimum qualifying marks for the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) are set by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and vary slightly from year to year. However, the general guidelines for qualifying in NATA are as follows:

  1. Qualifying Marks (Overall Score):

    • Candidates must score a minimum of 70 out of 200 marks in the NATA exam to qualify, regardless of category. This is the standard passing mark for each attempt of the exam.
  2. Separate Sectional Cut-offs:

    • In addition to the overall score, the CoA may prescribe separate minimum qualifying marks for each section of the exam, such as mathematics, general aptitude, and drawing. This can vary from one year to another, but in most cases, the overall qualifying score is the key requirement.
  • Age Limit: NATA 2024 has no age limit.
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have qualified 10+2th standard (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board.
  • Required Subjects: Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies.
  • Required Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in aggregate. 

Candidates who have passed the 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate will also be eligible for NATA 2024.

NATA 2024 Application Form

CoA has commenced the NATA 2024 application form process on March 1, 2024. To be registered for the entrance exam, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the NATA application form 2024. The authorities will not accept incomplete and invalid applications.

Steps to fill NATA application form 2024

  • Registration: In the first step, the candidates will have to visit the official website and click on the registration link. For registration, the candidates will have to provide details such as their name, date of birth, email ID and more.
  • Fill out the Application Form: Next, the candidates will have to fill out the NATA application form with the required personal, academic and contact details. While filling out the form, the candidates also have to select their preferred exam cities.
  • Uploading Scanned Documents: After filling out the form, the candidates will have to upload scanned documents as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
  • Payment of Fee: Finally, the candidates will have to pay the application fee through net banking/credit card/debit card/ICICI Isure Bank Challan.

NATA 2024 Exam Pattern

The revised NATA exam pattern 2024 has been released. NATA 2024 will now be held in both computer-based and pen-and-paper-based mode. The question paper will consist of two sections - Part A (Drawing and Composition) and Part B ( Multiple Choice Questions). By knowing the NATA 2024 exam pattern beforehand, the candidates will be able to understand how the question paper will be constructed for the entrance examination. Details such as the exam mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more have been released through the exam pattern of NATA 2024. Candidates are advised to check the exam pattern carefully before starting their preparation process for NATA 2024.

NATA 2024 Syllabus

CoA has announced the revised NATA syllabus 2024 online. The list of topics that have to be studied for the exam is available in the NATA 2024 syllabus. Candidates should check and know the syllabus well to have a higher chance of scoring well in the examination. NATA syllabus consists of topics from drawing, composition, visual reasoning, logical derivation, GK Architecture and Design, Language Interpretation, Design Sensitivity, Design Thinking and Numerical Ability.

Q:   How many attempts are allowed in NATA exam?

A:

Candidates can attempt the NATA exam up to three times in a single academic session. The best score from these attempts will be considered for admissions.NATA is generally conducted in multiple phases each year, often in April, May, and July.

Q:   What is the process to apply for NATA exam?

A:

Candidates will be able to access the NATA application form online at nata.in. To fill out the application form, the candidates have to click on the registration tab and register using basic details such as their name, mobile number, email address and more. Next, the candidates have to log in and fill out their personal, academic and contact details. Candidates also have to select their preferred exam centres. The application fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Finally, the application form has to be submitted before the final date.

Q:   Which NATA score will be considered for B.Arch admission if I have appeared for all the sessions?

A:

Candidates will be eligible to apply and attempt one or more sessions of NATA. In case a candidate appears for 2 tests, the best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of more than 2 attempts, the valid score shall be the average of the best scores. All candidates will be required to mandatory qualify at least one session of NATA to be eligible for B.Arch admissions into the respective Architecture colleges and institutes. Candidates are advised to attempt as many sessions as they can to have a higher chance of securing good scores.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to give NATA exam?

A:

CoA has revised the NATA eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to check the official NATA eligibility criteria before starting the registration process. The revised eligibility criteria of NATA is given below.

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate or passed the 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

How to Prepare for NATA 2024?

Candidates can follow the given preparation tips for NATA 2024 to have a higher chance of securing good marks in the entrance examination.

  • Check Exam Pattern and Syllabus – Before starting the preparation process, the candidates are advised to check the official NATA exam pattern and syllabus. This will allow the candidates to understand how the entrance examination will be conducted.

NATA 2024 Admit Card

Registered candidates will be able to access and download the NATA admit card 2024 online. Through the NATA 2024 admit card, the candidates will be able to check important details such as the allotted centre address, date, timings, guidelines and more. Candidates will have to download and print out the admit card since it will be required at the exam centres.
