AMU has announced the fresh dates for the pending examination. Exams to begin from January 27. The examination was postponed after a student protest allegedly turned violent and the university had to shut down in between abruptly.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has announced fresh dates for rescheduled leftover semester examinations. According to a notification released by Mujib Ullah Zuberi, Controller of Examination, the leftover examinations in Faculty of Unani Medicine and Z H College of Engineering and Technology, barring B.Tech and B.E final year will commence from January 27, while examinations of the Faculty of Medicine will start from February 1. The B.Tech and B.E final year examination will start from February 10.
The notice released by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) officials also states that the examinations for faculty of Commerce, Law, Science, Management Studies, Life Science, and Agricultural Sciences are scheduled to commence from January 30. However, the examinations for Faculties of Social Sciences, International Studies and Theology, Arts, Polytechnics ad the Community College will start from February 3.
The examinations were scheduled after the reopening of the university following the winter vacation. The winter break of the Aligarh Muslim University was extended till January 12.
The examinations that had begun before the commencement of winter vacation, were rescheduled and postponed after a student protest allegedly turned violent and the university had to shut down in between abruptly. According to the reports, the students were holding a march in support of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). The students of AMU came out in support after JMI faced a police crackdown and their protest against the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC), National Population Register (NPR) ended in a battle with the Delhi Police.
