COVID-19 impact: Delhi University semester exams postponed
On April 9, DU published a press release on its official website declaring the postponement of its May/June semester examination considering the safety and health of its students and staff members.
In the midst of suspended classes and closed campus, Delhi University postponed its semester examination following the norms related to the nationwide lockdown imposed due to the outbreak of coronavirus. With regular colleges, the university also postponed the exams for the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). Students who were supposed to appear for the examination can visit ‘visit du.ac.in’ and check the official notice regarding the postponement of the semester exams. According to the reports, the exams will be rescheduled after the lockdown gets over. The University of Delhi will declare the fresh dates through an official notice after reviewing the severity of the situation.
Earlier, DU released two notices, one to inform students that its registration process for admissions is on hold and another one informing the further extension of its closure. In order to practice social distancing as advised by the Prime Minister, the University decided to put its admission process on hold. National Testing Agency (NTA), the authority responsible for organizing and conducting DU Entrance Test (DUET), for entrance-based UG courses and PG courses offered by the University, also postponed the application process for the Entrance exam.
