The CUET PG results will be used to determine DU PG admission for 2023. Prior to this time, DUET oversaw PG admissions.

Admissions to the University of Delhi's UG programs will be conducted using the CSAS, or common seat allocation system. However, applicants must first select Delhi University while completing their CUET forms and then submit their applications via the CSAS portal in order to be considered for admission.

How is DU admission 2023 different?

From now on, only CUET UG will serve as a point of entry for Delhi University admissions. Students will be admitted to the institution based on their performance in the Common University Entrance Examination (CUET). The CUET PG results will be used to determine DU PG admission for this year. Prior to this time, DUET oversaw PG admissions.

What has changed since the CUET was put into place for DU CSAS 2023 admissions?

  • All students who intend to apply for admission to colleges affiliated with Delhi University will have a chance to do so.
  • Those with higher CUET scores may have a better chance of being admitted to DU in 2023.
  • The class 12th marks will be used for DU admission in the event that two students receive similar scores on the CUET DU admission test.
  • Candidates from SC and ST groups would receive 30% more admissions at Delhi University.

Important information you need to be informed of in order to apply to Delhi University's CSAS in 2023:

  • The DU CSAS application form 2023 will be made available by the University of Delhi in June.
  • The Delhi University admissions office will hold three sessions of counselling for DU college admission.
  • 50% of the available PG seats are filled through the DUET, while the remaining 50% are filled through the UG course completion scores and grades of currently enrolled Delhi University students.
  • If applicants achieve a particular percentage on the qualifying exam, several DU colleges will reduce the cut-off mark by up to 3%. For instance, candidates who scored 60% or higher on the math portion of the qualifying exam are awarded a 3% cut-off mark relaxation.

Q:   Does DU offer 1 year LLM?

A:

No, Delhi University offers a full-time LLM programme of two to three years duration at the PG level. This course is offered by Faculty of Law under DU. University of Delhi LLM admission is conducted in online mode and for final selection, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the university. CUET PG exam is conducted by NTA and considered by DU for admission to LLM course. Candidates after completing graduation can apply for DU LLM programme.

Q:   Can I get into DU with 500 score in CUET UG?

A:

Delhi University offers UG courses based on CUET UG exam. Based on the DU B.Com Hons. cutoff 2024, It is not possible to get into DU with 500 score as the cutoffs for all the affiliated colleges under Delhi University were comparatively above than the score of 500. Further, DU CUET UG cutoff 2024 ranged from 608 to 758 for the General AI category candidates for B.Com Hons. However, cutoffs can vary as per the courses, for some courses, it is below and for other, it is above. Candidates can check the CUET last round scores for various courses to have an idea of the colleges and their respective results from the DU page:

Q:   Who is eligible for Delhi University MSc admission?

A:

Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University for the two-year MSc programme must have completed a BSc (Hons)/ BSc degree or any other relevant undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. In addition to this, eligible candidates are required to have a valid score in CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA to secure admission to university. Final selection will, however, be subject to the final seat allotment done by the university on the basis of the course/college selection of the students and their scores in the CUET PG exam. The University of Delhi's current "DU Best of Four" grades have been replaced for DU admissions with the CUET 2023 results. In particular, 70,000 undergraduate seats would be open for enrolment at Delhi University in 2023. However, modifications are made to the seats each year. It's possible that this number will change a little. Additionally, candidates from all the DU colleges who have a solid record in extracurricular activities and sports will be offered 3291 places in the ECA Sports category.

Q:   Can I take admission in DU MBA without CAT?

A:

No, aspirants wishing to apply for any of the MBA colleges under DU must pass CAT. DU colleges offering MBA provide maximum weightage to the CAT percentile. Check below the CAT weighate for admission at DU:

Apart from CAT, the performance of the candidates in Class 10, Class 12, graduation will also be considered for MBA admission.

Q:   What is the criteria for admission to MCom at DU?

A:

Delhi University MCom admission up until 2021 was offered in two categories: Direct Admission and Through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds were also conducted for admission to Delhi University PG programmes. There was no minimum age limit to take admission to the MSc programme offered by the university. However, DU PG admission 2022-23 was subject to a valid score in DUET as announced by the University.

Starting 2023, the admission process of DU for its postgraduate courses, such as MA, MSc and MCom will be subject to the CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA. After the results, qualified students will be required to appear for the seat allocation process conducted by the university for final seat allotment. 

Q:   How many marks are required in CUET to get admission in DU?

A:

Q:   Is Delhi University hard to get?

Getting admission in DU is tough as there are many students who apply for admission to various courses at DU. DU students are placed in top companies just after graduation and the cost of studying is quite reasonable and set to meet the education requirements of each and every student.
