Recent events held at D.J. Academy for Managerial Excellence

The D.J. Academy for Managerial Excellence (DJAME) came into existence in the year 2001 by late Dr.D. Jayavarthanavelu, Past-Chairman of Lakshmi Machine Works Limited (LMW), Coimbatore as a unit of the GKD Charity Trust, Coimbatore. The Institute was established with the objective of helping students evolve into competent and socially responsible Business managers. The Institute generally organises a number of events for the betterment of the students. Some of the recent events organised by the D.J. Academy for Managerial Excellence are as follows:

CORPORATE CONNECT EVENT AT DJAME: On 08.08.2019, there was a Corporate Connect event at DJAME. Sri Gandhimathinathan, VP-HR & OHS, Bradken India Private Limited, Coimbatore, addressed the students on ‘Role of HR in the age of digital disruption.'

About the speaker:

P. Gandhimathinathan, a Human Resource Professional with more than 30  years of experience steering all aspects of Human  Resources processes like Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Talent Management, designing and implementation of HR policies. He is currently working with Bradken India Private Limited., (Hitachi Group) as Vice President Human Resources. People champion and actively involved in Operational Excellence. He is also a Guest faculty sharing experience with Management students of Amrita University and PSGIM – Industrial Relations, Industrial Law, IHRM and Change Management and Past Chairman Coimbatore Chapter of National Institute of Personnel Management.

 CORPORATE CONNECT AT DJAME: On 20.08.2019, there was a Corporate Connect event at DJAME. Mr. Venkatesh Natarajan, Mentor, VeiBa Consultancy, Chennai conducted a one-day Workshop on 'The changing landscape of Media and Advertising Industry.'

About the speaker:

Venkatesh Natarajan is a marketing professional with over 28 years of corporate work experience.  He has had considerable years of experience with The Hindu Group, in the Sales and Marketing for over 23 years, in the markets of Kerala and TN. He had the privilege of launching the Kochi Edition of the Hindu, in the process was involved in recruiting, training and motivating large diverse teams. Under his leadership, The Hindu had a period of rapid growth in advertising revenues, better market representation and better quality engagements with clients.   A passionate mentor, he considers it his duty to share his knowledge, learnings with the team members as he believes that a leader is only as good as his team. A polyglot Venkatesh is conversant in Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil besides English.

INAUGURATION FUNCTION FOR THE 19^th BATCH STUDENTS AT DJAME: The parents of all I MBA students participated in the function and it was presided by Director of DJAME.

The II MBA students welcomed the I MBA students and their parents, all I MBA students & parents shared their views & expectations from DJAME followed by the Director's address.

 CORPORATE CONNECT EVENT AT DJAME: DJAME students interacted with Mr.Lokesh Karunakaran, Trainer, Bangalore on “Mirrors- Self Effectiveness programme.”

About the speaker:

Lokesh has a total experience of 15 years. His key assignments included the assessment and training employees of Indian and Multinational hospital employees, IT employees, Banking institutions & employees of various other industries across different verticals. He loves client interfacing and working their nascent ideas. He is a compulsive ‘creator’ and an avid performer. Facilitating Learning, training and coaching gives him shots of adrenaline.
