TAPMI Welcomes New Batch of PGDM Students For Academic Year 2020-22

August 14, 2020: Amid Coronavirus, Karnataka-based management institute with the prestigious double crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA) T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) is all set to commence the online classes of 2020-22 batch from August 17. This year Institute welcomes 38th batch of PGDM, 7th batch of PGDM - Banking & Financial Services (BKFS), 3rd batch of PGDM – Human Resources (HRM) and 2nd batch of PGDM- Marketing.

The batches include 394 PGDM, 60 BKFS, 45 HRM and 56 Marketing students. This year admissions were very competitive and institute witnessed that approximately one of every 16 applicants was entered into the core PGDM program, 18 in case of BKFS programme, and 22 in case of HRM and Marketing programmes.

August 13 was the induction day for students wherein they were all introduced to the management, faculty and other staff members. Students were given a glimpse of their upcoming two-years of the journey which will include industry visits, internships, corporate interactions through guest lectures, seminars and workshops. They were introduced to various TAPMI committees such as Quality and Accreditations, Corporate Engagement, Alumni Connect, Library, Community Engagement and Bloomberg Championship Programs.   

On August 14, a series of multi-level team-building exercises started with a small group of eleven students, then progressed to section and batch levels.

TAPMI Offers Students Free Access to 3,600+ Courses from Coursera

April 23, 2020: Amid the lockdown situation in the entire country, Karnataka-based B-School T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) decided to offer its students free access to over 3,600 online courses. TAPMI has partnered with Manipal Global Education Services for the integration of Coursera, an online education and training company for students. The objective of the initiative is to create a flexible, adaptable learning environment and improve students' skills

Coursera will provide students with online study material from top universities across the globe and industry proessionals to promote conceptual clarity and subject-based mastery. The extended lockdown period has created the need for this initiative. A lot of companies have withdrawn the internship and placements offers from students. Considering the same situation, Coursera will help students complete their internship while using a MOOC course to secure course credits.

This collaboration of TAPMI with Coursera is a part of PGDM 2.0 initiative, which was launched in 2018. This aims at revising institute’s flagship PGDM programe and also to introduce ‘Flexible Learning’ opportunities at TAPMI.

TAPMI Extends Application Deadline to January 30

January 20,2020: T.A. Pai Management Institute has extended applications deadline for all four PGDM programmes from the previous January 17 to January 30. Looking at large number of applications received from CAT high scorers in the past three days, the institute decided to extend the dates. The classes for the 2020 batch are expected to start from July first week. The course offers specialisation in the field of Banking and Financial services, HR and Sales. The institute is also accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Association of MBAs (AMBA) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and follows PGDM 2.0, a unique approach to education.

TAPMI Offers Dr Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship

December 27, 2019: Five students of T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) have been offered Dr Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship. The students are Neeraj Kumar, Rushi Shah, Ansu Joseph, Apoorva Dattaram Shinde and Kritika Agarwal. The scholarship is offered to students, who are meritorious, come from weak financial backgrounds, or both. TAPMI provides 50 scholarships of about Rs 2.5 crore.
