Uniforms at the Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology give students a sense of belonging to the college. Uniform helps to maintain order and uniformity among students and helps them to maintain discipline within and outside the walls of the institution.
The college has formal attire for a uniform. The uniform comprises a shirt, a pair of trousers, a blazer and a necktie:
- Shirt: The colour of the shirt for boys is light blue and for girls is pink and both shirts have white vertical stripes. It has full sleeves, pleated cuffs with buttons and a spread collar. It also has a utility pocket with the institution's logo on it. The shirt is made of pure cotton fabric.
- Trousers: The uniform has a pair of formal navy blue trousers with light grey vertical stripes. The trousers have a flat front with no pleats. In total, the trousers have 4 pockets. The fabric of the trousers is a blend of polyester and cotton.
- Blazer: The blazer is navy blue in colour and has light vertical stripes on it. It has a notched mid-size lapel and is single-breasted. It has full-length sleeves with two buttons on each sleeve. The blazer features two pockets on the front and one in the inner lining. The blazer is made of a blended polyester and cotton fabric with the inner lining being 100% polyester.
- Necktie: The uniform also has a navy blue and maroon coloured necktie, which boasts the institution’s logo.
Besides the said articles of clothing, the institution also provides a solid navy blue polo tee. The tee boasts the college logo on the front left side and the name of the college ‘ARYA' on the back. The tee is to be worn on Wednesdays and at sports events.
All of the said articles, except the tee and the necktie, are stitched for individual students. A tailor, hired by the institution sews the uniform for students. The institution charges a total of INR 3500 for the uniform. The kit contains two shirts, two pairs of trousers, a blazer, a necktie and a polo tee.
The students need to abide by the following rules and instructions regarding the uniform:
- The students are ought to wear the complete uniform every day with the exception being Wednesdays and sports events. The institution has a zero-tolerance policy toward untidy uniforms.
- Besides the uniform provided by the institution, students are required to wear black formal shoes with black/navy blue socks.
- Any kind of tattoo, piercing, jewellery such as gold rings, necklaces, etc. are strictly prohibited. Fancy and expensive items and ornaments such as smartwatches are also not allowed.
- The students are required to wear the college ID card every. Entry is barred for students entering the college without an ID card.
- The uniform must be ironed and washed regularly. The shoes should be neat and polished.
