Goa CET(Common Entrance Test) 2017 results got declared recently on the official website. The exam was held for admissions to first year degree programmes in engineering, pharmacy, nursing and allied health courses on May 9.
According to latest information, Pratheek D'Souza Rebello emerged as the topper of Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2017 for PCM. This Panaji lad also featured in the Top 100 list of JEE Main 2017 toppers. Besides this, he has also become the first student in more than a decade to have secured the top score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, individually in GCET.

According to a national daily report, the number of students appearing for GCET 2017 declined by 400 due to the introduction of NEET in 2016 for admissions to UG MBBS courses.
Goa has around 1,230 engineering programme seats on offer across five colleges. While, in pharmacy and nursing, there are 120 and 100 seats on offer respectively at two institutes. As many as 20 seats each will be filled through GCET 2017 in five allied health sciences.
