CSAB 2025 Dates: Check Schedule for NEUT, Special & Supernumerary Counselling Rounds

Candidates need to register separately for the three types of CSAB counselling - special, NEUT, and supernumerary, as per their eligibility. They can do so by visiting the official website and following the CSAB counselling 2025 registration link for the specific counselling round they are eligible for. The registration process for all three counselling types is online and can be completed at csab.nic.in. To begin the process, candidates need to log in using their JEE Main 2025 application number and password. Subsequent steps in the registration process differ based on the type of counselling.

Under CSAB NEUT counselling 2025, candidates must keep track of the following events:

CSAB NEUT 2025 Registration and Uploading of Documents: All candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are required to register on the CSAB portal (https://csab.nic.in) according to the specified schedule. Eligible candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Architecture programs should log in using the roll number from JEE Main 2025 and the password created during JEE Main registration. Those seeking admission to the Pharmacy course will need to create a login and password through the separate link provided on the CSAB portal.

Verification of Documents: This includes verification of documents including domicile and Category certificates by NERIST and the DTEs of respective North Eastern States/UTs, response by candidate to query (if required), and finalisation of registration.

CSAB NEUT 2025 Choice Filling and Locking: After successful document verification, candidates are required to prioritise and input their preferred branches and institutes. It is recommended to include as many choices as possible, with the top preference at the beginning and the least preferred options at the end. Once choices are filled, candidates must SAVE them. It's important to note that 'SAVING' is different from 'LOCKING.' Saved choices can be edited later, but once locked, they cannot be changed. If choices are not manually locked before the deadline, the last saved choices will be automatically locked.

CSAB 2025 NEUT Seat Allotment Round: During this stage, candidates' submissions will be processed centrally, and seats will be allocated based on JEE Main 2025 CRL for Engineering/Architecture or class XII marks for Pharmacy, along with the locked choices. Seat allotment results will be available on the CSAB Portal.

CSAB NEUT Counselling 2025 Reporting at the allotted Institute for Admission: Candidates who have downloaded the Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) are required to directly report to the allotted Institute for admission with all necessary original documents, as per the CSAB NEUT 2025 schedule.

CSAB NEUT Spot Round 2025: The spot round will be managed by respective institutes according to their rules. This is an offline process, and candidates do not need to register online. They must report to the DTE/RC as per the schedule notified by respective institutes along with all necessary documents (original and self-attested photocopy).

Under the CSAB Special counselling, candidates have to take note of the following important events:

CSAB Special Counselling Registration and Choice Filling 2025: All eligible candidates are required to register for CSAB. Any prior registrations made during the JoSAA counselling will not be valid for the CSAB special counselling. Candidates must provide fresh choices during the CSAB special round choice-filling process. Choices previously filled during JoSAA 2025 rounds (if any) will be considered NULL AND VOID and will not be taken into account for allotment in CSAB Special Rounds. 

CSAB Special Counselling Seat Allotment Result 2025: The CSAB special round seat allotment result is announced on the official website based on the JEE Main 2025 ranks of the candidates, their category, and the choices filled by them.

CSAB 2025 Special Counselling Exercising Willingness: Candidates who are allocated seats must confirm the seats. They have the option to Freeze/Slide/Float/Surrender/Withdraw the seats allotted to them.

CSAB 2025 Special Counselling Online Reporting: During online reporting, candidates are required to pay the institute admission fee, upload documents, and respond to any queries from the document verifying officer.

CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Physical Reporting at Allotted Participating Institutes: In this step, all candidates who have been allotted seats must physically report at the allotted participating institutes through the JoSAA 2025 and/or CSAB 2025 special counselling rounds. Candidates will need to pay the balance fee at this stage.

The CSAB Supernumerary round is held for admission to supernumerary seats in NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and SVNIT Surat. The various important events under this counselling is given below:

CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Registration, Choice Filling, and Online Verification of PwD Candidates: All eligible candidates must complete their online registration through the CSAB portal at csab.nic.in as per the provided schedule. Prior registration in JoSAA or any CSAB Special Round is not valid for the CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Round. All successfully registered candidates must submit new choices for academic programs. Choices previously filled during JoSAA or any CSAB Special Rounds are considered null and void. Thus, candidates must meticulously fill in and frequently save their new choices during the registration period.

CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Round Seat Allotment Result Display: Finalized and locked choices by the candidates or those automatically locked by the system will be processed as per the approved Seat Allocation Algorithm. This process will consider the candidates’ ranks and their program preferences. Seat allocation will be based on merit, using the JEE (Main) 2025 CRL rank, for the available seats.

Document Upload and CSAB Supernumerary Seat Acceptance Fee: Candidates who are allocated a seat in the Supernumerary Round must upload the necessary documents and pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm the allotment.

CSAB Counselling 2025 Physical Reporting at Allotted Institutes: Candidates with confirmed seats after online document verification must physically report to the allotted institute as per the provided schedule and instructions on the institute's website. All admission procedures need to be completed at that time. Candidates are required to pay any remaining institute fees upon physical reporting, and the fee paid to CSAB will be transferred to the allotted institute, minus any applicable processing charges.
