How to prepare for DU JAT 2022 in Six Months
DU JAT facilitates admission to professional undergraduate programmes offered by 16 colleges affiliated with Delhi University. Read on to know the six-month preparation plan for the DU JAT exam.
DU JAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A (Hons) courses at colleges affiliated with Delhi University. DU JAT registration is expected to commence in June and it is likely to end by July. DU JAT 2022 is expected to be conducted in September. The exam is usually conducted in two slots on the same day. DU JAT will be a two-hour online test conducted across 24 cities. Here are a few tips that will help DU JAT aspirants prepare better for the exam.
Understanding the DU JAT exam pattern
To make six month DU JAT preparation plan, understand the DU JAT exam pattern and accordingly devise their study plan DU JAT question paper comprises 100 MCQs equally divided into four sections: Quantitative Ability, Reasoning & Analytical Ability, General English and Business and General Awareness. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded while an incorrect answer will invite a penalty of one mark.

Five key tips for Six-months DU JAT Preparation Strategy
- Build a strong foundation: A good foundation goes a long way in helping an aspirant qualify DU JAT exam. If a candidate’s basic concepts are clear, it will help him cover the DU JAT syllabus in lesser time. It is equally important for an aspirant to work on his weaker links such topics often spring a surprise in such exams.
- Be consistent with daily study regime: An aspirant can get a good score in the DU JAT result if he or she sticks to his/her study regime for a period of six months. Even two to three hours daily for this period is enough to cover the entire syllabus. After every study session, an aspirant should reflect on how much has s/he learnt in this period and how could he perform better.
- Plan smartly: While devising the DU JAT 2022 preparation plan, an aspirant should be mindful of the fact that it should be practical suits his way of studying. DU JAT preparation plan should include the subject-wise preparation strategy, the books that need to be covered, the hours that need to be devoted to each subject, the revision of the covered topic as well.
- Practise DU JAT mock tests: Taking regular mocks is key to performing well in the DU JAT exam. One can start with sectional DU JAT mock tests which will help her/him evaluate his topic wise preparation. Once a candidate covers the entire syllabus, s/he can take full-fledged DU JAT mock tests. Candidates seeking admission to MCom at the University of Delhi are required to apply via CUET PG exam. Interested students can follow the steps given below to apply for CUET PG 2023.
- Visit the official website of CUET PG 2023 – cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Read the instructions and select the agreement checkbox followed by clicking on the tab ‘Click Here to Proceed’.
- Enter personal details such as name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, nationality, identity type and number followed by present and permanent address.
- Choose a password and security question and enter the captcha.
- Once the application number and password is generated, log in with the credentials to complete the application process.
- Complete the CUET (PG) 2023 application form by adding the information around personal details, paper selection, exam cities, educational details and upload the photograph and signature.
- The photograph and signature should be in JPEG format. While the photograph size must be between 10 KB to 200 KB, the signature image size must be between 4 KB to 30 KB.
- The application fee has to be paid in online mode through credit/ debit card, net banking or UPI.
After registration, candidates must fill in the application form and pay the registration fee which is as follows:

Aspirants meeting the eligibility condition can apply online. They need to fill out the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee.
Step 2: Entrance Exam/ Selection
DU accepts CUET PG score for admission to LLM course. The faculty of Law conducts LLM Entrance Test in online mode for a duration of two hours for shortlisting aspirants for LLM admission.
Step 3: Counselling
All admissions will be made after physical or online counselling. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. After verification, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The admission process for MCom at Delhi University up until 2021 was offered across two categories: Direct Admission and Through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds were also conducted for admission to Delhi University PG programmes.
There was no minimum age limit to take admission to the MSc programme offered by the university. However, DU PG admission 2022-23 was subject to a valid score in DUET as announced by the University. Starting 2023, the admission process of DU for its postgraduate courses, such as MA, MSc and MCom will be subject to the CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA.
After the results, qualified students will be required to appear for the seat allocation process conducted by the university for final seat allotment.
