Indian Institute of Management, Indore, will conduct the IPMAT exam 2025 on May 12, 2025. Candidates seeking admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore can apply for the IPMAT exam online on the official website of IIM Indore. The IPMAT admission process includes application form filing, IPMAT entrance, shortlisting of candidates through Personal Interview, and final merit list. 

The IPMAT selection process tests the candidate's Quantitative and Verbal Ability. Read the article below to know more about the IPMAT selection process at IIM Indore including various components such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, etc. 

Q:   What are the registration dates for IPMAT?

A:

IPMAT application process 2025 will likely start in the second week of February 2025. The registration window will be open for approximately a month. IPMAT 2025 will be conducted on May 12, 2025. The complete schedule of IPMAT exam will be announced online and will also be available on the official website of IIM Indore. The application schedule for IIFT will be announced on the official website of IIFT. The IPMAT application process begins with the IPMAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose the their preferred institutes as well as test centres while filling the IPMAT application form. Candidates can apply for all the institutes which accept IPMAT scores after the results are declared and they match the cutoff criteria. 

Q:   Which documents are required at the time of IPMAT application process?

A:

The following list of documents will be required when the students are filing the IPMAT application form:

  • Scanned or digital copy photograph and signature
  • Scanned copy of the latest OBC (Non-creamy) / SC / ST / DAP category certificate as applicable
  • Scanned copy of mark sheet of Class 10
  • Scanned copy of marksheet of Class 12
  • Credit/ Debit card/ internet banking details to pay the fees online

The images uploaded should be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format and the file format should be as mentioned in the IPM brochure. It is important to carefully read the instructions provided on the official website before filling out the registration form to ensure that you provide all the necessary documents and in the correct format.

Q:   Can I fill the IPMAT form if its date is gone?

A:
No, you cannot fill the IPMAT form if the deadline has passed. The application process for IPMAT is usually time-bound, and the deadline for submitting the application form is strictly enforced. Once the deadline has passed, the application portal is usually closed, and no further applications are accepted. If you have missed the deadline for submitting the IPMAT application form, you may have to wait until the next application cycle to apply for the exam. It is important to keep track of the important dates and deadlines for the exam and plan your application process accordingly. However, if there are any exceptional circumstances such as a technical glitch or a website error that prevented you from submitting the application before the deadline, you can contact the exam conducting authorities or the admission office of the respective institute to inquire about any possible options or alternatives available to you.

IPMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent CGPA in the case of the General and NC OBC categories.
  • Students belonging to SC, ST or PwD (DA) categories must have secured at least 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Students must have passed the qualifying exam in the years 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025.
  • Students in the final year of Class 12 or awaiting the results are also eligible to apply provisionally.

IPMAT Selection Procedure 2025

The IPMAT selection process includes various stages such as application form filing, IPMAT entrance, shortlisting of candidates through Personal Interview, and final merit list. IPM is a dual-degree programme where the students are provided with a Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) by IIM Indore at the end of the course. Students will be awarded Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) and Master of Business Administration (International Business) after the programme.

Stage 1: IPMAT Application Process

The students who wish to take admissions to IIM Indore for IPM need to fill the IPMAT application form 2025. The IPMAT application fee is INR 4130 for General category students and INR 2065 for reserved category students. The application form and fee are to be submitted online on the official website of IIM Indore. 

Stage 2: IPMAT Exam 2025

The students need to appear for the IPMAT exam in order to be eligible for the IPMAT admission and selection process. The IPMAT exam 2025 will be conducted on May 12, 2025, in the computer-based test mode. The exam will be conducted in the afternoon shift at various exam centres in the country. Q:   How many test cities can I choose while filling the IPMAT application form?

A:

Students applying for the IPMAT exam can choose only test centre. And the IPMAT test city cannot be changed once the form has been submitted and also during the form correction window. The details of the IPMAT  test centre will be mentioned on the IPMAT admit card along with the date and time of the exam and the students will also be informed via SMS or email. The IPMAT exam is conducted in as many as 28 test cities namely:

Q:   Is there any fee concession in the IPMAT registration fee for reserved category students?

A:

Yes, candidates belonging to the reserved categories can avail a fee concession. They will be required to present the caste/category certificate during the registration process to avail the concession. IPMAT application fees can be paid online only. Candidates who have filled out the IPMAT application form can take a look at the table below to know the application fee for different categories. Q:   How to login to the website for IPMAT registration?

A:

The IPMAT application/registration forms will be available online only on the official website of Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The students who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam, have to fill out the IPMAT application form online along with paying the online application fee. In other words, IPMAT application process is completely online and there is no provision of offline application. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam must follow the steps mentioned below to know how to register for the IPMAT exam and log in to the IIM Indore website:

  • Visit the official website of IIM Indore

  • Click on the registration link for IPMAT 2024

  • The candidate needs to generate a User ID and password using details such as name of the candidate, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. 

  • This User ID and password will also be sent to the candidate through registered email and SMS

  • Next, the candidate needs to re-login using the credentials

  • The next step is to enter the required details in the IPMAT application form. Candidates must ensure that they enter the correct details as the same cannot be changed later

  • Pay the registration fee through a Credit/Debit Card or internet Banking

  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit valid and attested certificates supporting their reservation category 

Q:   Is the IPMAT application form different for different categories?

A:

No, the IPMAT application form is the same for all categories. Students need to choose their respective categories while filling the registration form. Candidates must note that when they are applying for IPMAT exam, the first step in the IPMAT application process is registration. Students can then proceed on to filling the IPMAT application form and paying thr application fee. Candidates must carefully fill the IPMAT application form and uploaded the required documents. Candidates need to then make the fee payment online. Candidates must also note that once the fee payment has been made no changes can be made in the registration form and the fee will also not be refunded.

Q:   I am unable to upload my signatures in the IPMAT registration form. What should I do?

A:

There is a set limit to upload a photograph and digital signatures in the IPMAT registration form. The size of the file should be between the prescribed size. Also, the dimensions of the image uploaded should match the ones mentioned in the instructions. If the documents are not in the prescribed format then the application form can be rejected. Candidates must note that there is a very small form correction window in the IPMAT application process, hence they must carefully fill the application form and upload clear scanned copies of the documents.

Stage 3: IPMAT Provisional Merit List or IPMAT Result 

The exam conducting authority, IIM Indore, releases the IPMAT result in the form of a provisional merit list (based on the scores obtained by the students in the IPMAT exam) of the students selected for the next round of the IPMAT selection process. The authorities decide a minimum IPMAT cutoff based on the categories.

IPMAT 2025 Exam: Composite Score Calculation

Given below are the steps on how the composite score for the IPMAT 2025 exam will be calculated:

Stage 4: Personal Interview

The students who match the IPMAT cutoff will be eligible to appear for the Personal Interview (PI). Candidates have to match the sectional and overall cutoff decided by the exam authorities to appear for the PI. 

Step 5: Final Merit List and Selection

Based on the scores obtained by the students in the IPMAT entrance exam and Personal Interview, the exam conducting authorities release the final merit list of the students who are eligible to secure a seat in the prestigious IIM Indore. The final selection of candidates will be conducted based on the Composite Scores (CS) computed as:
