It is not necessary that you need to get placed in on-campus placements. There are many off-campus placement drives held which you can attend. Most of the students, especially in India, rely on on-campus placements. They do not know that they can also reach out to the companies on their own too.

Internship is an opportunity offered by an employer to the potential employees, known as “interns” to work in an organization for a short period to gain experience and fulfill requirements for any qualification. Internship is a period of one or two months where we work for a certain company to gain some industrial experience and to fulfill some requirements the companies while recruiting mostly require that. An internship can be paid as well as unpaid, but one must always prefer a paid internship.

Is there any Internship required in BBA?

Definitely, the answer is yes. BBA is a course that requires lots and lots of industrial experience and skills. Students pursuing BBA are supposed to undergo a Summer Internship after the end of 2nd year in an organization for up to one or two months. Also, a project is mandatory for the BBA Students to be shown in the final-year based on the internship.  Internship helps in getting good exposure in the related field whether it is Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales, Retail, etc.

What projects are undertaken during an internship in BBA?

Various projects can be done by the interns during an internship. It depends on which field the student is working in.

For example, for a Marketing company most projects undertaken are Analyzing Company Profile, Employee Analysis, and Research Methodology.

For a Financial company, the projects will be Financial Management, Audit, Risk, and Accounting. For Operations, projects are based on costing, budgeting and planning, operations, reports, project planning, etc.

So these are the various projects that can be undertaken in an internship of BBA.

How will these projects benefit for placements?

When there are thousands of other students preparing for the same job then the chances of getting placed go down.

The companies receive a bunch of applications for a single position. And in a pool of students who are applying for the same job with no experience, these internship projects act as a major source of interest to get placed.

Are there any off-campus placement activities?

Yes. It is not necessary that you need to get placed in on-campus placements. There are many off-campus placement drives held which you can attend. Most of the students, especially in India, rely on on-campus placements. They do not know that they can also reach out to the companies on their own too. Also, the companies sometimes offer a lower package on campus as there are many students.

Sometimes the college itself informs the students about the off-campus placement drives and will ask you to attend the placement drives. It happens only in tier 3 or tier 4 colleges where only a few companies come for recruiting students.
