NSAT application fee is INR 1100. The fee is to be paid at the time of form submission. There is no relaxation in fee amount for any candidate. No, NSAT or NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test is not mandatory for NIU admission. The institute also accepts CUET for technical programmes. If a candidate has CUET score they can directly seek admission to NIU through counselling. However, if a candidate wishes to appear for NSAT and use its score for admission, they are allowed to do so.

NIU admission process through NSAT includes shortlisting of candidates for counselling, conduct of counselling round and final selection. NSAT result is shared with candidates in email. Those who appear for the exam receive their scorecard in email as attachment. Test takers must keep a check on their registered email ID for NSAT result. Incase, a candidate does not get the result on time they must check their spam/junk folder.
