UGAT BHM Counselling 2025 Seat Allotment: Check Dates, Fees & Procedure

Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a standardized test being administered by AIMA annually to screen the candidates for various under graduate programs such as Integrated MBA (IMBA), BBA, BCA, BHM, B.Com, etc. UGAT bulletin is brought out along with the UGAT form and profiles the institutes / colleges / universities accepting UGAT score for information of the candidates. It gives wide visibility of the institutes among potential candidates. The candidates are given the option to indicate any five of the participating institutes / colleges / universities.

The data and score of the candidates are provided to the institutes / colleges / universities indicated by the candidates. In addition, candidates are provided individual score card, which can be produced to any institute. Institutes / colleges / universities can decide on the cut-off score for admission or for further screening based on the number of seats available.

The UGAT counselling is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who have qualified for UGAT exam must register themselves online through the official website. However, the Personal Interview WAT/GD and document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated helpline centres. Candidates who meet the UGAT cutoff, need to visit the centre for document verification as per their rank and other selection rounds such as PI and WAT. The seat allotment process is also conducted online based on the merit, category, and choices filled by the candidate during the registration process. Candidates can check their allotment status on the official website. The entire UGAT counselling process except the PI WATand document verification round is conducted in online mode.

Candidates require the following documents for UGAT Counselling process:
- UGAT rank card
- UGAT admit card
- Aadhaar Card
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 marksheet
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Caste Certificate of SC/ST/BC/Minorities (if applicable)
- Two recent passport-size photograph.

Candidates who cleared UGAT, can apply for UGAT Counselling by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of AIMA UGAT
Step 2: Click on 'New Registration'
Step 3: Fill in the required details such as name, UGAT rank, score, etc.
Step 4: Cross check the several details that are filled including personal and academic details in the registration form.
Step 5: Upload photograph and signature in the specified format and size.
Step 6: Pay the counselling fee via the available payment modes. After successful payment, you will receive a payment confirmation message on your registered mobile number and email ID. Candidates then need to appear for the further selection procedure which includes GD, WAT and PI.

Yes, it is mandatory for all candidates to attend the document verification round as part of the UGAT counselling process. During the document verification process, candidates must present their original documents for verification and provide their biometric details. The purpose of document verification is to ensure that the candidate is eligible for admission to the selected course and to avoid fraudulent activities. Candidates who do not attend the document verification round will be marked ineligible from the admission process through UGAT scores. Such candidates will not be considered for the seat allotment round also. Therefore, it is important for candidates to attend the document verification process physically as per the schedule announced by the authorities. 

No, after the UGAT exam is cleared, candidates will have to go through for further selection procedure conducted by the participating institutes. The UGAT scores are accepted various colleges and universities. Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. The admission process includes Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept UGAT scores. UGAT score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for WAT, GD and PI on the basis of their UGAT scores, marks obtained in Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take UGAT scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity are taken into consideration.
