The Bihar Board Class 12 Results were declared on March 24, 2020, for all the streams including Science, Commerce and Arts, simultaneously on the official website of BSEB. The Bihar Board Class 12 exams were conducted between February 3 and February 13, 2020. With 476 marks out of 500, Neha Kumari has secured the first position in the state board examinations from the Science stream with 95.2% marks. Neha Kumari hails from Ballivan Sagar village in Gopalganj district, Bihar. While her father Om Prakash Giri is a middle school teacher, her mother Sunita Devi is a housewife. Neha is a student of Hazarimal Higher Secondary School which is situated in her village.

While talking about her exam preparation strategy, she said, “A day’s hard work does not work for any exam success”. She further said that to be able to ace an exam, we have to make constant efforts. She also said that in case of any confusion/doubts, she used to reach out to her teachers and clarify them then and there.

About her future plans, Neha said that she aims to become an IPS officer and for this wants to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Talking about it, she said that she wants to serve the nation by becoming an IPS officer. She also said that she’d probably appear for the examination 3 years from now, but she would like to start with her preparations immediately as she wants to be fully prepared for the UPSC examination.
As many as 12 lakh students had registered for the BSEB Inter examinations this year. The overall pass percentage of Science, Commerce, and Arts streams is 77.39%, 93.26%, and 81.44% respectively. The overall pass percentage was recorded as 80.44%, which is 0.68% higher than last year's pass percentage of 79.76%.
